Paramount is heading to Sleepy Hollow with a brand new feature film take on the classic Headless Horseman tale, with Lindsey Anderson Beer (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines) announced to direct the movie back in 2022. But is that project still happening, now two years later?
The Hollywood Reporter lets us know this afternoon that Paramount Pictures has renewed its first-look deal with Lindsey Anderson Beer, and one of the projects on the upcoming slate is the aforementioned Sleepy Hollow movie that was originally announced two years ago.
THR details, “Additional projects on the development slate include… Sleepy Hollow with Anderson Beer attached to write, direct, and produce alongside Todd Garner of Broken Road.”
You can learn more about the slate over on The Hollywood Reporter. It also includes a supernatural thriller titled Here Comes the Dark from the writers of Don’t Worry Darling.

Although it’s been over a decade since The Wolf Among Us came out, there is one question that still plagues players- Was it Faith or Nerissa that spoke to Bigby in the climax? While some players have since moved on and made peace with the ending, some players and avid fans still debate this. There is enough evidence to support both claims, as well as evidence to support that they’re the same person.
During episode 1, after Bigby stops Woody from nearly murdering Faith, she says to Bigby that people only make him seem like a big, bad wolf. But in reality, Bigby isn’t all bad like everyone says he is. After giving Bigby a little peck, Faith walks away, leaving him to attend to Woody. Look at how similar Faith and Nerissa are. Both right-hand smokers, both carry purple handbags, and both wear a ribbon around their necks.

In 19 memorable episodes that aired over the course of a dozen years and across two different shows — CBS’ The Good Wife and its streaming spinoff The Good Fight — Carrie Preston played Elsbeth Tascioni, a brilliant lawyer whose eccentric behavior constantly threw off the heroes of those dramas. So naturally, when Preston gets her own series, simply titled Elsbeth, the character is now helping the NYPD solve murders. As one does, right?

From the mind of Diablo Cody comes Lisa Frankenstein. Directed by Zelda Williams, the film stars Kathryn Newton, Liza Soberano, Cole Sprouse, Carla Gugino and Joe Chrest. With the Burtonesque visuals and deadpan dialogue, it’s an ambitious swing that will find an audience with some, and may not land with others. The film is headed to theaters February 9.
In 1989, anxiety-ridden teenager Lisa Swallows (Newton) is getting ready to go to a party with her stepsister Taffy (Soberano) and is having a hard time getting ready. Poor girl is grappling with the challenge of adjusting to both a new school and the aftermath of her mother’s tragic death, alongside her father Dale’s (Chrest) new wife Janet (Gugino), who hates Lisa. To take her mind off of reality, Lisa hangs out in a nearby abandoned graveyard, where she cares for the headstones. She’s taken a particular liking for...

TV crossovers have been around almost as long as the medium of television itself. Before the advent of modern shared universes, they were mostly just a lark intended to goose viewership. When "Adventures of Superman" star George Reeves turned up as the show's namesake in the 1957 "I Love Lucy" episode "Lucy and Superman," it was all a big in-joke and not some kind of serious declaration that Lucy and Ricky Ricardo somehow existed in the same universe as the Man of Steel. Nearly 60 years later, when "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) crossed paths with Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) from "New Girl," it was a similar bit of fun ... assuming you could refrain from thinking too hard about the in-universe implications.
Speaking of not thinking too hard about canonical implications, Hart Hanson's playful yet by and large grounded Fox procedural "Bones" likewise crossed over with, of all shows,...

The set of Fox’s Sleepy Hollow had “grueling” working conditions, confusion and “creative floundering” among its leadership, and disparate treatment between its white male and Black female lead, according to Burn It Down.
The Hollywood exposé from Maureen Ryan, published by HarperCollins and which hit shelves on Tuesday, alleges that Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison — who played detective Abbie Mills and Ichabod Crane, respectively — “did not want to have a whole lot to do with each other,” according to one source who worked on the show, allegedly resulting in Mison’s character’s famous “courtly” bow, because the co-stars did not want to hug each other.
That also allegedly translated to their onscreen narratives, according to showrunner Clifton Campbell, who told Ryan that Mison and Beharie “believed that the relationship between the characters should not evolve into a romantic relationship,” despite fan calls for one. (Neither Beharie nor Mison commented for the book.

Walpurgisnacht, also known as Walpurgis Night or Hexennacht, is a pagan holiday celebrated on the night of April 30th. It is named after Saint Walpurga, an eighth-century nun who Christianized parts of Germany. However, the holiday has roots in pagan traditions that celebrate the coming of spring and the triumph of life over death. It is also associated with witchcraft and supernatural phenomena, making it a perfect occasion to indulge in some spine-chilling horror films.
So, grab some popcorn and get ready for a night of scares with these ten chilling recommendations for Walpurgisnacht.

What better way to kick off Walpurgisnacht than with the most iconic vampire movie of all time? Dracula (1931) stars Bela Lugosi as the titular count who travels from Transylvania to England to spread his curse of the undead. Ghost stories have been around forever, and will haunt us long after we are ghosts. Before film, most apparitional tales came from novels or short stories. Yes, there were oral traditions of the spooky place down the block or the hitchhiker on a lost highway, but usually someone put it down in a book. Some of the greatest films about hauntings originate as full cinema creations, with a director’s dark vision on the screen, others come from true cases or urban legends. These ghost stories are novel ideas.
This is by no means a complete list. Almost every Edgar Allan Poe film adaptation has a spectral presence; Charles Dickens’ nighttime visitors in A Christmas Carol are only ghosts of presents we wrap for seasonal coverage; director Lew Allen’s 1944 horror feature The Uninvited isn’t here because I haven’t read Dorothy Macardle’s Uneasy Freehold (1941), which it was...
