Iron Man 3 director Shane Black initially pursued an acting career before he became a renowned screenwriter and director in Hollywood, just like Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. Before he directed the fourth movie in The Predator series, little did fans know that he had an acting role in the first movie alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was during this time that he sold the script for the classic buddy cop movie Lethal Weapon.

It took little time for Black to get the hint from his acting and screenwriting gigs that he was not suited for the former career. Black doubled down on his screenwriting works and became one of the highest-paid screenwriters at the time.

While Taylor Sheridan has been a part of the industry since the early 1990s, it wasn’t until he delved into the field of screenwriting that he became the household name that he is today. Before that, he had multiple recurring roles in series such as Veronica Mars, two iterations of CSI, and Sons of Anarchy, in which he starred as Deputy David Hale

Taylor Sheridan is an incredible actor, producer, director, and writer. But before he was singlehandedly running one of the best series of all time, the Hollywood star was just an actor struggling to make ends meet. In 2008, Sheridan was roped in to play Deputy Chief David Hale in the Charlie Hunnam-starrer Sons of Anarchy.

However, the Yellowstone showrunner’s character was brutally killed off in season 3 after Sheridan did not agree to the wage rate he was being paid. And then apparently to take revenge, Sheridan took to his critically acclaimed series to take a digg at the FX series.

Sheridan has also proved his proficiency as a screenwriter over the years. From Denis Villeneuve’s Sicario and its sequel to the Academy Award-nominated movie Hell or High Water, he has been the mastermind behind some of the best screenplays. He is also the co-creator of the show Yellowstone, which has elicited some unfavorable reviews.

You might recognize Taylor Sheridan from his role as David Hale on "Sons of Anarchy" or Travis Wheatley in Paramount+'s "Yellowstone," but the actor's work on screen is arguably not as impressive as the stacked résumé of films and television shows that he has written.
Sheridan began acting in the 1990s and took on a number of small roles in various TV shows and movies throughout the remainder of the decade into the 2000s. But his career as an actor never quite took off, which is when he discovered his talent and passion for screenwriting. After writing the pilot for "Mayor of Kingstown" in 2011, he knew that's exactly what he was meant to do. "I was a fair actor, but that's all I was ever going to be," Sheridan told The Hollywood Reporter in a June 2023 interview. "Hollywood will tell you what you're supposed to do if you listen.

Ryan Murphy's Fox procedural "9-1-1" is billed as a show about heroes. More specifically, the show follows first responders — firefighters, 911 operators, and cops on the front lines of disasters. As such, the audience is always encouraged to root for the main characters as they face danger and emotional devastation to get the job done. That doesn't mean that every character in the show is endlessly lovable, of course. These first responders all have their demons to contend with — demons they must put aside while in the field.
If "9-1-1" were filled with totally unlikable characters, it wouldn't work. This is a show about selfless people who run toward the fire, not away from it. Nonetheless, while every character in the series gives 100 percent to the job, their personal lives are another matter. Some characters deal with their problems better than others, and that's what makes the show interesting. Nobody's perfect,...

“Yellowstone” is easily one of, if not the most talked about television series of the new millennium. Since hitting the screens in June 2018 the Paramount Network hit series has built a cult following for itself. And as the fan base grew so did interest to know more about the story of the Duttons. Perhaps, this explains how the creators came about the several “Yellowstone” spinoffs.
The “Yellowstone” story is told around a powerful family of ranchers — the Duttons — who own the largest ranch in the United States. Amid their success in the town of Montana, the ranchers must fend off a number of enemies interested in encroaching or completely taking over their family legacy. And for four seasons — with the fifth premiering soon, fans of “Yellowstone” have been totally invested in the thrills and chills that come with this battle for supremacy. Well, it doesn’t seem to get more...

The impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump marked a major turning point on Wednesday when William Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat to Ukraine, and George Kent, assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, testified before the House Intelligence Committee. On Friday, open hearings resume with former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
Taylor and Kent’s testimonies marked the first public hearings since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry on Sept. 24. Yovanovitch’s remarks are expected to be broadcast on C-span, as well as all major cable news networks. Coverage begins at 9 am.

It was just by a hair, but the debut of the impeachment hearings against Donald Trump yesterday beat Robert Mueller’s testimony before Congress earlier this year …barely.
With a grand total of 13,098,000 Americans tuning in to watch the televised opening of the House Select Committee on Intelligence questioning on Wednesday, Ambassador William Taylor and Deputy Secretary of State George Kent topped the 12.9 million who saw the former FBI Director’s circumspect stint in the hot seat on July 25.
Having said that with Nielsen numbers from Fox News Channel. MSNBC, ABC, CNN, CBS and NBC now in, the 10 Am – 3:30 Pm Et hearing stumbled against another big ticket testimony. The Wednesday event, that the former Celebrity Apprentice host insists he didn’t watch, was down a hard 32% from the audience that eyed pink slipped FBI Director James Comey’s appearance before our elected representatives in June 2017.
It should be noted...
