A talented Production Designer and HOD with years of experience, I am versatile in different genres, producing high quality work, helping to create strong visual worlds that actors inhabit, and directors can explore with their visual story telling. I know where and when to allocate expenditure and crew to achieve maximum effect to budget
Just a little about me - I was born in west London to Italian Hungarian parents, which made life very colorful. I am a graduate of the Manchester Film School where I fell in love with film making and my degree project was runner up in the Royal Television Society Young Director of the Year and was exhibited in the 'Young Blood' exhibition at the Barbican Centre London.
My first break into the industry came from BBC Manchester, followed by 2 years at Yorkshire Television. I was then taken on by the BBC Design Department training course in London, I spent a few wonderful years there working as a Design Assistant /Art Director. I got my first breaks as Production Designer and then went freelance working for many prestigious film and television production companies.such as Hartswood Films, Tiger Aspect, Channel 4 and Enterprise Films. I joined ITV at the Southbank Studios and became Head of Design for a couple of years and to this day I am working as a freelance Production Designer working on all genres of programming from an animated drama series 'My friend Misty' for Sky Drama to 'Judge Rinder' for ITV, and I was a key player in the Art Department that was awarded a BAFTA for 'Best Production Design' on 'Jonathan Creek' drama series. My episodes on 'Holby City' were nominated for a BAFTA, and while I was Production Designer on 'This Morning' ITV, we won five NTAs
My Professional work has lead onto being asked to designed for various musical theatre shows staged at the Purcell Rooms at the SouthBank Centre London, London.
Occasionally I work as an associated lecturer at Central Saint Martins UAL university, teaching Set Design and Production/Art Direction for film and TV I also have been invited to lecture at the London Film Academy and the MetFilm School at Ealing Studios.
