Mercedes Moné officially debuted for All Elite Wrestling (Aew) on Wednesday night and instantly changed the face of the company’s women’s division.
Moné, whose given name is Mercedes Varnado and is also known for her time in WWE as Sasha Banks, hit the ring in her hometown of Boston to a thunderous reception from the fans in attendance.
“It was unbelievable,” Moné told Variety. “I still haven’t gotten to take everything in yet, but my heart was just pounding out of my chest. Once I heard the beat drop in the music and the ‘CEO’ chants were on the screens, and then they revealed the ‘Mercedes Moné’ name, that eruption was so electric. I felt so cool. I felt like Stone Cold Steve Austin, when fans just lift up all their signs and stand up with their arms raised. I felt so cool. It was the best feeling in the world.

Dune 2 Star Timothee Chalamet Movies Ranked As Per Rotten Tomatoes. (Photo Credit – IMDb)

The film is one of the top-rated ones across various platforms, but Chalamet, over his short career span, has given several high-rated films.
Chalamet won hearts with his lively performance as Willy Wonka in last year’s Wonka. It became his career’s highest-grossing film as a leading man. But it seems Dune 2 might take away that title soon. He is essaying the character of Paul Atreides, and his ascension in this part has been remarkably shown. Scroll below for more.
Timothee Chalamet’s character Paul seemed a bit lost in the first film but understood his purpose and became a leader in Dune 2.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features a mere Five matches (music to my ears!) Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) def. The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum)
My Thoughts: Well this was a decent opener! I’m not sold on The Outrunners, who currently feel more like a gimmick than a legitimate tag team, but they certainly held their own against Reynolds and Silver. Though the angle with Aubrey was weird…
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Riho def. Diamante
My Thoughts: Damn! This was a fantastic match. Diamante had an actual decent opponent in Riho – after all, she’s been demolishing enhancement talent on Aew’s YouTube shows for a while now (in both singles and tag matches) so this was really refreshing! This should be run back on Rampage Imho.
My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #3: Sonny Kiss def.

Judy Greer has joined the cast of the upcoming ABC comedy pilot “Drop-Off” (working title).
The project, which comes from Lionsgate and ABC Signature, is based on Sharon Horgan’s BAFTA-nominated British format comedy “Motherland” and stars Ellie Kemper as Julia, a working mom for whom nothing is working so she goes looking for her village.
“With the help of new friends Calvin and Liz, Julia discovers she just might succeed at balancing work and parenting from time to time,” the official logline states. “This is a comedy for anybody who’s dropped their kids at school, breathed a sigh of relief … then realized it’s Sunday.”

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features thirteen(!) matches which -like last week – immediately fills me with dread… Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Matt Sydal def. Slim J
My Thoughts: So we’re getting Matt Sydal back with Top Flight And adding Ar Fox to the mix as well? That would certainly seem the case after the end of this match. I hope this “feud” with the Trustbusters doesn’t drag out too long. Mainly because Trustbusters are a waste of time Imho. Still, you have to appreciate how good this match was!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Devlyn Macabre
My Thoughts: Evil Julia Hart does bad things… In a squash match once again., which will come as no surprise to anyone – especially given the House of Black’s dominance in Aew.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: The Workhorsemen def.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which this week keeps the match count low, with only 7 matches on this week’s show – the last Elevation of 2022! We’ve got Paul Wight on commentary, so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Leva Bates and Karizma
My Thoughts: This felt very much like Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir going through the motions, as if this was either put together at the last minute or the duo were off their game – which is odd given how good they’ve been together recently. Still, a squash is a squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Promise Braxton
My Thoughts: Julia Hart gets another singles match and it’s another quick squash match to help build Hart into the kind of monster she needs to be as part of the House of Black.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week is a stacked show – not only do we have eleven matches on this card we have appearances by the likes of Kenny Omega, who hasn’t wrestled on Dark in almost Two years! On with the review…
Match #1: Kenny Omega def. Hagane Shinno
My Thoughts: Hagane Shinno’s profile has been slowly building over the weeks until this, what would be a main event match if it was anyone Other than Shinno. Instead he gets to take on Kenny Omega in the opening match of Dark. And Kenny was very giving here, letting Shinno get some near falls and plenty of offence in. A cracking opening to this week’s show.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Action Andretti def. Invictus Khash
My Thoughts: Action Andretti, the man that shocked the Iwc after winning his match against Chris Jericho last week,...

Don Callis joined the broadcast booth for this match. Nick Jackson and Penta El Zero Miedo traded offensive, each countering the other. Rey Fenix tagged in and the Young Bucks used tandem offense. Pac and Kenny Omega tagged in for their respective teams and Kenny Omega smashed Pac face-first into the mat. Matt and Kenny hit double planchas to the outside while Nick followed up, jumping off the top turnbuckle onto Pac. Nick tweaked his ankle and tagged out. Brandon Cutler used some cold spray on Nick’s ankle.

Exclusive: Rizwan Manji (Schitt’s Creek), Atharva Verma (Stargirl), Ayana Manji, Meesha Shafi (The Reluctant Fundamentalist), Alicia Silverstone (The Killing of a Sacred Deer) and Hasan Minhaj (The King’s Jester) have signed on to star in the Pakistani American coming-of-age film Mustache — the first feature from writer-director Imran J. Khan.
Largely autobiographical for its filmmaker, Mustache follows Ilyas (Verma), an eccentric 13-year-old boy who sets off to navigate the social hierarchy of his new California public school with a mustache his parents will not allow him to shave off. Manji will play Ilyas’ father Hameed, with Pakistani-Canadian singer Shafi playing his mother, and Manji’s daughter Ayana set to portray his school friend, Yasmeen.
Details as to the roles of Silverstone and Minhaj haven’t been disclosed. But Christina Won (Birdman) and Jessica Sittig of MakeSay are producing along with American Light and Fixture’s Christopher Storer...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. We’ve got Matt Menard on commentary again this week but… he’s joined by Roh’s Ian Riccaboni(!) for this episode so let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Zack Clayton def. Conan Lycan
My Thoughts: A pretty decent match from Zack Clayton, who seems to be slotting into Aew nicely. Conan Lycan was a decent opponent, matching Clayton’s size and strength brilliantly. Like Julia Hart, Clayton is certainly going to improve the longer he’s with the company.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Nyla Rose def. B3cca
My Thoughts: Well this was a squash, Nyla Rose took like One hit from B3cca before demolishing her with a spear and a Beast Bomb. Marina Shafir cut a promo after the match which went...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. We’ve got the usual [new] commentary team, Excalibur and Matt Menard, for this episode so let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose def. Jc Storm and Joelle Clift
My Thoughts: Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose make a great team and they look So dominant in squash matches like this. But still we’ve opened with a squash match on Elevation. Again.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Tiara James
My Thoughts: Another strong match for the former cheerleader turned [possible] leader of the House of Black. She squashed her enhancement talent opponent with ease.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Dante Martin and Matt Sydal def. Zack Clayton and Serpentico
My Thoughts: What the actual f*ck?! Less than one minute...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which emanates from Chicago like the rest of this past week’s shows. We got a tight 7-match card (thank god) so let’s get right to it!
Match #1: Josh Woods & Tony Nese def. Brandon Gore & Storm Grayson
My Thoughts: Again? Really? Well at least Nese and Woods are getting work. Work against jobbers but work nonetheless. Though we didn’t need two matches a week from those guys Imho, especially when both are squash matches.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Marina Shafir def. Laynie Luck
My Thoughts: This match felt like a step back from the work Shafir is doing in her tag matches with Nyla Rose (who was at ringside here), with a number of iffy-looking moves from Shafir that even Taz points out on commentary!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Zack Clayton def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Totally...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. We’ve got a repeat of last week’s commentary team, Excalibur and Matt Menard, for this episode so let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Julia Hart def. Alice Crowley
My Thoughts: Another good outing for Julia Hart who, every week, gets better and better, smoother and smoother. She really feels like she’s embraced this new character and it’s made her look a lot better in the ring. I do hope House of Black continues given the rumours about Malakai Black at All Out this past weekend.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Josh Woods and Tony Nese def. Jordan Kross and Renny D
My Thoughts: How much of a squash was this? I’ll tell you… Renny D didn’t even get an official tag into the match!
