Amanda Muse

Amanda Muse is a composer based in Los Angeles, California. Her music is known for its vibrant, energetic blend of lush orchestration with rich classical harmony and driving rhythms informed by her extensive background as an internationally-recognized percussionist. She scored the critically acclaimed short, JOURNALISM 101, directed by Michael Lopez, which won "Best TV Pilot" at the 2022 Top Shorts Film Festival. She is set to score Waverly Hampton's AI-centered thriller, I'M ALIVE, and Iris Dukatt's highly anticipated futuristic thriller, LONG PORK, starring Lena Headey (Game of Thrones). She conducts and records her compositions at major Los Angeles-based scoring stages including Fox, Sony, and Warner Bros.
Amanda got her industry start as a producer at renowned virtual instrument company CineSamples, for which she traveled the world to capture the sound of authentic instruments. She currently oversees all project management at music production company Hollywood Scoring, where she collaborates with a team of Emmy-winning producers and composers to provide music for feature films, video games, and live entertainment.
Amanda has been a session percussionist for clients including Netflix (LEO), Riot Games (LEAGUE OF LEGENDS), and CineSamples (DRUMS OF WAR 3). She was a snare drummer at the Universal Studios theme park in her hometown of Orlando, Florida for 3 years, and has performed at Disney World and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She has traveled throughout the U.S. and internationally as a drumline clinician artist, sponsored by Pearl Drums and Vic Firth. She was champion of the 2018 international "Hit Like A Girl" percussion contest, and later went on to perform on snare at the 2019 PASIC international percussion convention in Indianapolis. Amanda has released two self-published books on snare drum technique: Rhythmic Muse (2018) and Foundation (2020).
Before coming to Los Angeles, Amanda completed a bachelor's degree in Psychology at Western Carolina University, where she also taught, wrote, and directed drumline shows at the university's football games in front of a weekly audience of 20,000 cheering students. She holds a master's degree in Project Management from New York University and a master's degree in Music Composition from California State University, Los Angeles. She resides in Tarzana and considers herself a coffee aficionado, constantly searching for the perfect home brewing techniques.
