Usually “American Song Contest” reveals the results of America’s votes from the previous week in the first few minutes of the following episode. However, because the hit reality TV show is airing its Season 1 finale on Monday, May 9, the normal process wouldn’t give the yet-to-be-announced finalists enough time to prepare for their last performances. That’s why, for the first time ever, NBC is changing up its results format. The second group of Semi-Finalists, who duked it out on the big stage on Monday night, will find out their fates on “E! Pop Daily” on Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m. Pt. Updated: Here is the complete list:

Michael Bolton returned to the “American Song Contest” stage during the Semi-Finals 2 episode and knocked the roof off the place with his uplifting anthem “Beautiful World.” Due to the way the reality TV show is structured, this two-time Grammy winner for “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” and “When A Man Loves A Woman” hasn’t been seen since the first episode way back on March 21. In the video above, watch Bolton sing a reprieve of “Beautiful World” in the “American Song Contest” semi-finals, which aired May 2 on NBC.

If you haven’t been watching “American Song Contest,” you might not know that Scott Kirkland from the Crystal Method is from Nevada. He’s representing one of 45 states that have already competed on on the NBC competition, which is based loosely on Europe’s popular Eurovision Song Contest.
Other well-known names in the semi-finals of the competition include Michael Bolton for his home state of Connecticut, with the former champion of “The Voice,” Jordan Smith, competing on behalf of Kentucky, and “Glee” alum Riker Lynch fronting for Colorado.
Name recognition, however, isn’t always a guarantee of easy passage through the competition. Of those recently eliminated in the contest –Jewel, who represented Alaska, and Macy Gray, Ohio.

Macy Gray shockingly eliminated from ‘American Song Contest’ after ‘Every Night’ performance [Watch]
Macy Gray, one of the biggest stars to step foot on the “American Song Contest” stage, has just been shockingly eliminated from the competition. The “I Try” Grammy winner performed her new single “Every Night” during the second week of NBC’s reality TV show (watch above), but failed to rank high enough from the jury of 56 industry professionals to advance automatically. Macy’s fate then rested in the hands of viewers at home, which gave her a leg up due to her nationwide name recognition. However, it was revealed in the third week that the audience chose to send three other participants to the semi-finals instead.
Heads up: Macy still has a shot of re-entering the competition at a later date, as NBC has promised there will be two “redemption” artists that return to the show. “Show ’em love by streaming their music,” host Snoop Dogg said on Monday night.

During Week 3 of “American Song Contest,” the jury of 56 industry professionals ranked the 12 original songs from first to last, with Tenneesee’s Tyler Braden advancing to the semi-finals thanks to his tune “Seventeen.” The most famous singer on the docket was Alaska’s Jewel, a four-time Grammy nominee and recent “The Masked Singer” winner. However, her uplifting song “The Story” (watch above) failed to connect with the jury, coming in ninth place in their rankings. Don’t give up, Jewel fans — she’s not out of the competition just yet.
The audience at home now gets to weigh in with their votes, which will be tabulated alongside the jury rankings. Vote by visiting the “ASC” website directly, or by using the NBC App or TikTok. If Jewel gets enough support from the 56 states/territories, she will be able to overcome the low jury rankings. Three participants will advance based on...

During the third week of NBC’s “American Song Contest,” the national jury was tasked with ranking 12 original songs (as opposed to 11) from first to last. At the end of the April 4 episode, hosts Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg announced the results: Tennessee country singer Tyler Braden was ranked the highest by the jury of 56 industry professionals, so he moved on to the semi-finals. Tyler’s original song, “Seventeen,” was a soft, reflective melody about a couple looking back on their lives. Watch the performance above.
The fate of the other 11 participants now rests in the hands of You at home. Your voting results will be tabulated alongside the jury rankings — it’s a complicated process — to determine which three acts will join Tyler in the semi-finalists. Here they all are in order of the jury rankings:
1. Tyler Braden (Tenneesee) sang “Seventeen”

Jewel brought her musical stylings to American Song Contest—but it was a country singer from Tennessee who topped the leaderboard. Before the new batch of 12 performers could take the stage, however, the results from last week had to be revealed. On the March 28 episode, former The Voice winner and Kentucky representative Jordan Smith earned an automatic trip in the semi-finals thanks to the 56-person jury of industry professionals. Joining Jordan were Montana's Jonah Prill, Kansas' Broderick Jones and North Dakota's Khloe Fredericks. Khloe was saved by the fan vote after the jury placed her on the outside of the top three. Jordan Smith knows a thing or two about winning reality TV shows. He was the champion of “The Voice” Season 9 back in 2015, and now he’s won the jury vote on Week 2 of “American Song Contest.” Representing his home state of Kentucky, Jordan took the stage during the second episode of NBC’s ratings hit and performed his new single “Sparrow.” After all 11 qualifying acts performed their original songs on Monday night, the jury of 56 industry professionals ranked all of them from best to worst. Jordan won the jury vote, so he received a free pass to the semi-finals.
