There has been much debate and discussion over why Shannen Doherty left Charmed just three seasons in. Most fingers – including Doherty’s – point to co-star Alyssa Milano, although she has hardly fessed up to any wrongdoing. Whatever the true case may be, when Prue Halliwell was killed off in “All Hell Breaks Loose”, that was it for Shannen Doherty’s Charmed run. And that includes the series finale, “Forever Charmed”, which is one of the finest of its time despite her absence.
Speaking on her own Let’s Be Clear podcast (via The Hollywood Reporter), Shannen Doherty says she wishes she could have given Charmed fans a different sendoff by being part of “Forever Charmed” but knows it wouldn’t have benefited her. “I regret it one sense, I regret it for the fans. But I don’t regret it for me, because I was so incredibly wrecked from getting fired that,...

The series about the lives of high school students ran for exactly ten years – from 1990 to 2000. The most successful seasons of Beverly Hills, 90210 were watched by 14.5 million viewers in the US alone, and by the same number of fans around the world.
During this time, the main characters evolved from shallow high school students to complex personalities, dealing not only with common teenage problems, but also with more serious issues such as alcoholism and domestic violence.
Despite the fact that the main characters became world famous, Beverly Hills, 90210 was the first and last major project for most of the cast.

Charmed is one of the biggest shows of the ’90s and ’00s.

Using their powers (the Power of Three!), they protect the world from evil.
The first three seasons featured Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano) as the trio, until Shannen left in 2001, being replaced by Rose McGowan as the long-lost younger half-sister Paige Matthews in Season 4.

Mattel’s Masters of the Universe movie hasn’t had the easiest path, but the long-in-development project has taken a big step forward as Deadline reports that Bumblebee director Travis Knight is in final negotiations to helm the movie.
Although Deadline cautions that the deal is still coming together, the report states that Knight was the only director in the mix to give an in-person presentation, which made him the top choice for the gig. Chris Butler will rewrite the script from the previous draft penned by David Callaham, Aaron and Adam Nee. The project was previously set up at Netflix, but the streaming service scrapped the project last summer. It was later reported that the movie could find a new home at Amazon MGM Studios, and according to Deadline, they’re now in final negotiations for the rights.

Shannen Doherty fought back tears as she addressed Alyssa Milano’s recent comments about not being involved in Doherty’s “Charmed” exit.
During a panel alongside “Charmed” co-stars Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan at MegaCon Orlando on Sunday (via EW), Doherty spoke about the claims she made on her “Let’s Be Clear” podcast, in which she alleged that Milano played a pivotal role in her firing from the fantasy drama series.
“Holly and I, we were not mean on the podcast,” Doherty said. “In fact, we went in and we edited out anything that we felt would cause more drama. We simply told the truth because the truth actually does matter. But we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as humanly possible.”

Alyssa Milano, who played Phoebe in the hit WB series “Charmed,” took to a panel hosted by Collider to respond to claims that she was responsible for Shannen Doherty’s exit from the fantasy drama series back in 2001.
While not denying the claims, Milano expressed that it was “sad.”
“I don’t think it’s really that I’m sad for me or for my life or how it does or does not affect my life. I’m the most sad for the fans. I’m the most sad that a show that has meant so much to so many people has been tarnished by a toxicity that is still to this day, almost a quarter of a century later, still happening,” Milano said at the panel. “And I’m sad that people can’t move past it. Holly Marie Combs is revealing the real reason why Shannen Doherty left Charmed after the series’ third season.
The two starred together as Piper and Prue, the eldest two of the Halliwell sisters, in the first three seasons of the show, before Shannen‘s character was killed off in the season three finale.

That this has been a low-key season of The Great British Baking Show is far from an insult. Quite the opposite — it’s been refreshing to see the show go back to basics in Season 11, with lots of pleasant Brits whose baking triumphs and tribulations never once made your blood pressure go up. No twink romances, no Italian dynamos, no controversies over ill-conceived nationally themed weeks.
It's not to say that this season was without its share of memorable contestants or narratives. There was new co-host Alison Hammond, whose established a good rapport with the contestants (though let's have a talk about Prue before next season).

On October 7, 1998, a series premiered that would go on to “charm” viewers for eight years. The Halliwell sisters find out they are powerful witches, who must use their combined “Powers of Three” to protect innocents and save the world from the dark side. Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and (later) Rose McGowan took on the roles of Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige, and made “Charmed” one of the biggest hits for the fledgling WB network.

American titan and self-proclaimed corporate pirate Logan Roy, the main character of HBO's hit series "Succession," is based on a lot of real-life billionaires — but none fit the bill quite so much as Rupert Murdoch. Logan and Murdoch are both formidable patriarchs that were at the helm of huge media conglomerates with right-wing news channels. Both men also have a set of power-hungry children from multiple marriages scrambling for the chance to take over the family business — a thinly-veiled symbol of their father's affection. They might be evil, or they might be misunderstood Shakespearean tragedies, but either way, they share a striking number of similarities.
Like Murdoch, Logan is a newsman before all else. The fictional character got his start in journalism back in Dundee, a Scottish town known for its "juke, jam, and journalism," Brian Cox explained on the Succession Podcast. Similarly, Murdoch began his career by taking over...

Matt Lucas is serving up the truth behind his short-lived “Great British Bake Off” hosting gig.
The comedian admitted during the “Deeney Talks” podcast that he viewed the reality competition series as a “pandemic job.” Lucas announced he was parting ways with the beloved Channel 4 show in December 2022 after hosting for three seasons alongside presenter Noel Fielding and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
“I’d never seen the show beforehand and I was not a baker,” Lucas said. “They were just looking for a new host and it came at a time where I had been living in L.A. for seven years and I had just sold my house there and I was thinking about coming back and spending more time with my family and friends.”

Channel 4 viewers have praised Prue Leith for a new documentary about assisted dying.
Prue and Danny’s Death Road Trip, which aired on Thursday evening (16 February), saw Leith and her son, Conservative MP Danny Kruger, explore the sensitive issue in an hour-long special.
To do this, Leith and Kruger travelled across Canada, where assisted dying is legal, and spoke to doctors and others affected by the service.
Leith and her son harbour opposing views on assisted dying, with the Great British Bake Off presenter arguing in favour of the right to assisted death. Kruger is a vocal opponent of it and has called instead for improvements to palliative care.
In the documentary, Leith suggests that her son’s views are informed by his religious beliefs.
Viewers praised the programme on social media, with one person describing it as an “excellent” look at the “value and challenges” of assisted dying.

Matt Lucas has responded to Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith’s tributes after quitting The Great British Bake Off.
On Tuesday (6 December), the Little Britain actor announced he was stepping away from the baking competition, which is known as The Great British Baking Show in the US.
He attributed his decision to a clash of projects, stating that it “became clear” he could no longer present the show.
It is currently unknown who will replace Lucas, who himself replaced Sandi Toksvig during the show’s 11th series in 2019, but many are hoping it could lead to a fun reunion.
After the news broke, baking experts Hollywood and Leith shared respective messages, praising Lucas for his stint on the show.

The Great British Bake Off is such a cultural phenomenon that it got its own official musical this year, with a West End run in early 2023, but is 2022 the year the show finally crumbles?
There’s no denying this multiple-bafta-winning baking show is a top-tier hit: since its modest launch in 2010, it’s earned record ratings (up to 16 million), and that special kind of nationwide adoration most shows can only dream of, plus over 35 international versions, and even its celebrity charity spin-off The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off regularly pulling in ratings of over five million.
But the truth is, for the last few years it’s been slowly collapsing like Ruby’s vegan showstopper, and this year it’s finally gone splat.
For starters, and this is dropping the ball on a fairly colossal scale, it’s become a baking show without very much baking. Technical challenges...

It seems that fans of The Great British Bake Off are angry once again at the baking show for ruining yet another classic: s’mores.
This week on the Great British Bake Off, the seven remaining contestants competed in three spooky-themed challenges for Halloween Week. For the Technical Challenge, judge Paul Hollywood tasked the bakers with creating s’mores – a popular campsite treat in the US and Canada – from scratch. However, things didn’t seem to go as planned.
For the challenge, bakers had to make eight s’mores, each filled with gooey marshmallow and dark chocolate ganache. Instead of graham crackers, the bakers were told to make digestive biscuits. While the semi-sweet biscuits from Scotland were used as a replacement for graham crackers, the cookies aren’t quite the same.
As the challenge began, it soon became clear that the British bakers struggled with making the distinctively American treat,...
