Severin Eskeland was born and raised on the west coast of Norway. He started making home movies after watching "Friday the 13th: The final chapter" at twelve, which left him sleepless for weeks. But this started his affection for the horror genre.
After film school he wrote and directed his first feature, "Snarveien".(2009), aka "Detour". His second feature "Lyst" which he wrote, directed, produced and edited was released in 2017, worldwide in 2022.
His exam-film In 2006 "The Chamber" was screened at Screamfest in Los Angeles the same year. He has returned to the festival on two more occasions. In 2009 with his feature "Detour" and again in 2021 with his short film "Number 7".
His two latest short films, "Allodium"(2019) and "Number 7"(2021) has been screened at festivals worldwide gaining multiple awards. "Allodium" is now also a part of Bloody Disgusting's "Bloody Bites" season 8.
