Merivelle Hannah is an award-winning student filmmaker. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Merivelle was exposed to the industry at an early age when she first visited her grandfather, Lou Antonio, on the set of Boston Legal and by visiting the Actor's Studio West, where she saw first hand the workings of Lee Strasberg Method acting.
In 2021, her first micro short, First Gig, won multiple awards in three film festivals and seven official selections. Merivelle's 2nd micro short, "When I Met Mia" was accepted in ten film festivals and received six awards in a variety of categories in 2021 and 2022. Her third short film, "Codependent on Desire" was accepted into the prestigious Beverly Hills Film Festival, April 2023; being one of the youngest filmmakers ever accepted. Merivelle attended School of Visual Arts, NYC as a freshman majoring in Film Production and will be attending Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television in the fall of 2023.
