So you say you want your action comics set to music... (Just how gay are you?) The upcoming Spiderman musical was photographed for the pages of Vogue recently by Annie Leibovitz. See the photos at the attached URL, this may be the only chance you get to see anything about it outside of New York City, or gods help us, Chicsgo (owing to a pre-sold contract)
They cram three villans into the musical as well as a stunt double for all the dancing and jumping. No seriously, the figured he was in a mask as Spidey so why not hire someone pretty who can sing and let someone else do the hard work. So once again pretty is better than good acting.
Starring Reeve Carney as Peter, Emmanuel Brown as the stunt double/Spidey, Jennifer Damiano as Mary Jane, PAtrick Paige as Green Goblin, Sean Samuels as Swiss Miss, and Collin Baja as Carnage.

"Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" is an upcoming Broadway rock musical with music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge. The previews start Sunday, Nov. 28, with an official opening night on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011.
Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz did a photo shoot for Vogue with the cast members -- the sets and costumes have our spidey sense on overdrive. It looks amazing.
In the first photo (above), Mary Jane (Jennifer Damiano) falls into the clutches of the Green Goblin (Patrick Page) with Spider-Man (Reeve Carney) trying to save her. Mj is wearing an Alexander McQueen red printed silk chiffon bustier dress.
In the second shot, Mary Jane fends off the blade-wielding Swiss Miss (Sean Samuels) in a Marchesa sculptured sapphire satin-faced organza ball gown.
And finally, the ill-intentioned Carnage (Collin Baja) goes after Mary Jane, clad in a Marchesa black-and-white hand-painted crinoline ball gown.
It's like the greatest "America's Next Top Model" photo shoot Ever.
