Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman don’t need to live together to make their marriage work. In fact, even though they have lived separately for years they are seemingly closer than ever. The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor opened up the couple’s unconventional marriage in an interview with Fox News Digital, where he was promoting his new comedy film Poolman, which opens in theaters today, Friday, May 10. “We’re doing great,” DeVito said of his relationship with his former Taxi co-star. “We’re sharing our granddaughter, our new granddaughter, and we see each other all the time.” DeVito and Perlman, who played boyfriend and girlfriend in Taxi and married parents in 1996’s Matilda, tied the knot in 1982. They went on to have three children: Lucy Chet DeVito, Grace Fan DeVito (born March 1985), and Jacob Daniel DeVito (born October 1987). They are also grandparents to Sinclair Lucille DeVito, who turned one back in March.

Dennis “Machine Gun” Thompson, the founding MC5 drummer and the last surviving original member of the pioneering proto-punk group, died Wednesday, The Detroit Free Press reported. He was 75.
An exact cause of death was not given, though Thompson had reportedly suffered a series of medical issues in recent months, including a heart attack in April.

Sinclair, Inc. has hired an investment banking firm to explore a possible sale of more than 60 local television stations, according to a report.
On Thursday, CNBC said the media company was weighing the possibility of trimming its local TV station portfolio by as much as 30 percent, which would involve selling off more than five dozen of its 185 television stations across the country.
Through local marketing agreements, Sinclair operates nearly 300 local broadcast TV stations within the lower 48 states. Stations owned by shell companies like Cunningham Broadcasting and Deerfield Media are not part of the strategy, according to a person familiar with the matter, who confirmed CNBC’s report and provided additional information on condition of anonymity.

The first preview for the West End adaptation of “Fawlty Towers — The Play,” based on the legendary British comedy series created by and starring John Cleese and Connie Booth, hits the boards later this week. The show is an amalgamation of three of the 12 episodes of the zany resort-set series, one of which is the most famous: “The Germans.”
Most remember that episode for the catchphrase “don’t mention the war,” the talking moose, and Cleese goosestepping around his humble Torquay hotel lobby. But it also included its share of envelope-pushing material. Indeed, the character The Major – an old senile drunk played by Ballard Berkeley – tells a rambling story about his time in India in which someone got their racial slurs confused. The scene includes the use of the N-word, as well as a derogatory term for Indians.
In 2020, UKTV removed it, but later reinstated it after Cleese called the move “stupid.

Match #1: Nathan Frazer & Axiom def. The Lwo and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Nathan Frazer and Axiom are officially headed to Stand & Deliver after the dynamic duo defeated The Lwo and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to become the No. 1 Contenders to the Nxt Tag Team Titles. The speed of Frazer and Axiom was matched by Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, but the brute strength of Gallows and Anderson clashed with their speedy and athletic opponents. Chaos ensued when all six Superstars found themselves in the ring, and a Magic Killer to Wilde opened the door for Frazer to hit a scintillating 450 Splash to punch his team’s ticket to Stand & Deliver.

Ezra Miller’s role in Prime Video’s Invincible has seemingly been recast in the wake of the actor’s controversies leading up to the release of The Flash.
In season one of the animated series, Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, voiced District Attorney Sinclair, a genius who attended Upstate University and believes that human weaknesses can be solved by engineering. After being defeated by the Invincible team, he returns in this week’s episode of season two, “I’m Not Going Anywhere.”
This time around, however, it appears the mad scientist is no longer voiced by Miller but instead by Eric Bauza. The actor has more than 350 voice credits, including X-Men ’97, Krapopolis, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Rick & Morty.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Miller’s rep and Prime Video for comment.

After The Flash actor Ezra Miller faced a string of controversies, it seems that Amazon’s Invincible opted to play it safe and replace the actor with voice acting legend Eric Bauza. And it appears, Prime Video executed this change rather subtly, as Miller had previously voiced the character, Mad Scientist Da Sinclair who first appeared in the episode called You Look Kinda Dead in Season 1. However, when Sinclair reappeared in the latest episode of the series, the character was voiced by Bauza. But who is Eric Bauza?

It appears Ezra Miller was quietly recast as mad scientist D.A. Sinclair in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Invincible.
Miller voiced the character in one episode in the first season of the adult animated series, but when Sinclair appeared in the March 28th episode, the character was voiced by Eric Bauza.
Deadline has reached out to Prime Video for comment.
Miller, embattled star of The Flash and Fantastic Beasts, has been embroiled in multiple scandals. Last year, they pleaded guilty to unlawful trespassing in a burglary case in Vermont after cutting a plea deal ahead of the hearing. In 2022, Miller agreed to mental health treatment after a string of run-ins with the law.

The collapse of the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore triggered a very early wake-up call for reporters and producers working in Maryland newsrooms early Tuesday morning.
The incident, caused by a cargo ship that accidentally crashed into one of the bridge’s support beams, happened around 1:30 a.m. local time, when many newsrooms were operating with few workers who were able to cover the massive story.
International news organizations were among some of the first to cover the incident, with Reuters, the Associated Press and BBC News pushing out news bulletins that offered few details in the hour immediately following the collapse.

Wolverine #43 Writers: Benjamin Percy & Victor Lavalle | Artist: Geoff Shaw | Colourist: Alex Sinclair | Letters: Cory Petit
This week I wanted to kick off talking about the cover. Modern covers tend to have a bad reputation. Perhaps there is an element of me being biased, but I love this cover by Lenil Yu! Visually it draws the eye with the dual bursts of gunfire. Secondly having Wolverine and Sabretooth side by side in their old Team X garb is going to have readers and potential readers curious. On the subject of Team X and my bias, this issue starts off strong. Wolverine? Check. Sabretooth? Check. Maverick? Check. Personally, though I would have liked more of the story dedicated to the flashback. Maybe an element where the events of the flashback inform the current goings-on. But who am I to call out Percy on how to tell a story? Really the Team X...

These days, Peter Jackson is best known for directing big budget spectacles. He took the Hobbits to Mordor, he cast Benedict Cumberbatch as a dragon, he brought us the sight of a motion-capture King Kong smacking around a bunch of dinosaurs. But when he was just getting his career started, he was making very different kinds of movies: horror comedies that were drenched in blood and pretty much every other bodily fluid you can think of. In 1992, he brought the world what may be the bloodiest film ever made: a zombie comedy he would call Braindead, but many fans know it as Dead Alive. Writer Paul Mayhew-Archer has penned comedy drama But When We Dance based on his own experience of Parkinson’s. Here are the details:
Work has finally started on veteran comedy writer Paul Mayhew-Archer’s next project: But When We Dance, a feature length drama which was meant to go into production for the BBC over three years ago, but the pandemic threw the schedule into chaos.
Johnny Campbell is on board to direct from Mayhew-Archer’s script, while the BBC is currently finalising the cast.
The story “centres on two people with lots in common: a great sense of humour, a love of dance, and Parkinson’s,” according to Deadline.
Mayhew-Archer is probably best known for co-writing every episode of The Vicar Of Dibley with Richard Curtis. He has worked behind the scenes in BBC comedy since the 1980s, script editing shows as diverse as Steven Moffat’s Chalk to...

Judge Christopher Lopez called Dsg’s latest agreements with its debt holders as a “big step forward” for the company’s future hopes.
It wasn’t all that long ago that it seemed like Diamond Sports Group (Dsg) was circling the drain. The sports broadcasting company — which owns and operates 18 regional sports networks (RSNs) under the Bally Sports brand, as well as the Bally Sports+ streaming service — seemed to be aligning its affairs in bankruptcy court to wind down operations after the conclusion of 2024. However, according to reporting from Sportico, after a good day in court this week, the company appears more likely to emerge from bankruptcy proceedings as a going concern in the coming months.
Diamond got approval to obtain $450 million in financing on Monday. The company has deals in place with the NBA, NHL, and MLB for the 2023-24 seasons. If Diamond emerges from bankruptcy, an investment from...

Therapy is heralded by millions as a way to work through the tangle of our innermost feelings and air grievances without judgement, making it a bountiful foundation for Daniel Sinclair’s tonal mash-up The Breakthrough. Greta Lee and Ben Sinclair play a fractured couple who are the embodiment of an unbalanced modern day relationship, but with Sinclair deftly flipping expected gender roles, placing the male partner in the role of domesticity suffocating his creativity whilst his female counterpart, earning all of the money, continues to come home late from work. The Breakthrough is set over Christmas, a supposed time of time of goodwill and joy but here serves as a shining reminder of the couple’s simmering distaste for one another. The Breakthrough is deviously funny and sharp at every turn and also serves as a pertinent reminder of the benefits of composting. Ahead of the film’s online premiere...

Match #1: Oba Femi def. Lexis King The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Oba Femi claims to be blessed by destiny and after another dominant performance, this time against Lexis King, there could be no stopping the Nigerian Superstar. Femi used his incredible blend of explosiveness and strength to keep King off-balance for nearly the whole match, but it was King’s past that came back to haunt him. Mr. Stone walked down the ramp and yelled at King, causing the challenger to leave the ring and shove him, but that left him wide open for more clubbing blows and ultimately a pop-up powerbomb.

Wayne Kramer, the cofounder and guitarist-vocalist of the iconic Detroit punk band MC5, has died at age 75. The news was shared on Kramer and MC5’s official social media pages today, but a cause of death was not disclosed.
Born Wayne Kambes on April 30, 1948, the guitarist formed the MC5 (for Motor City 5) as a teenager with his friend, Fred “Sonic” Smith. They played locally, eventually becoming the house band at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit.
John Sinclair, a left-wing activist, became the band’s manager, and they soon were a staple of the late-’60s political movements, aligning with the White Panther Party, the anti-racist group that Sinclair cofounded.
The group’s sound was hard to define, but it was defiant, and was widely credited with sparking what was to come in punk. The group performed at the protests outside the 1968 Democratic National Convention and at other rallies before signing...

Diamond Sports Group, the largest U.S. operator of regional sports networks (RSNs), on Wednesday unveiled a so-called restructuring support agreement (Rsa) with creditors, saying that it “provides a framework for a reorganization plan that would enable Diamond to emerge from bankruptcy as a going concern and continue its operations.” Under the framework, Amazon will make a minority investment in the company, details of which weren’t immediately disclosed, and become its streaming partner, while TV station giant and Diamond parent Sinclair will make a $495 million cash payment to the firm to settle litigation.
The Rsa also includes the promise from certain debt holders to provide $450 million in financing to support Diamond’s operations as it finalizes a reorganization plan to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy and to repay $350 million of existing debt.

In a holiday weekend surprise, The Baltimore Sun was sold by the investment firm Alden Global Capital to David Smith, the chairman of local TV station giant Sinclair Broadcast Group.
The Sun broke the news Monday, also revealing that Smith is joined in the venture by Armstrong Williams, a conservative political commentator who hosts a program syndicated on Sinclair’s 185 TV stations.
News of the sale sparked immediate interest in a reaction from David Simon, creator of the acclaimed HBO series The Wire. Simon spent years working as a journalist at the Sun, and made a fictional version of the newspaper a focal point of season five of the series.
“What is left to say about American newspapering?” Simon said on X, afyter being tagged by the sportswriter and political pundit Charles Pierce.
“Everyone who is in within the sound of an honest Bawlamer accent needs to subscribe to the @BaltimoreBanner right fucking now.

In 2019, Lizze Broadway was at San Diego Comic-Con when the whispers began. “The Boys are coming. The Boys are coming.” A few minutes later, castmembers including Karl Urban and Jack Quaid walked by, seemingly in slow motion. “For a show I knew nothing about, this moment stuck with me big time,” says Broadway, who plays size-changing student Emma. Four years later, Broadway and her fellow cast were preparing to show off Amazon’s college-set The Boys spinoff, Gen V, at their own Comic-Con panel — a chance to assure the 4,800 or so fans of The Boys who were packed into the convention center that the new series would be just as raunchy and violent as the mother ship. The strike derailed that. But, months later, the Gen V team tells THR how it would have gone down.

The long-standing military relationship between the United States and Australia is bound to have its share of secrets.
That was certainly the message of NCIS: Sydney Season 1 Episode 4.
One of those secrets -- that a decorated U.S. sailor who went Awol and melted into Sydney 50 years ago -- even became the primary suspect in the gruesome murder of a petty officer.
It could have been so easy. They captured a suspect with a motive who was willing, even eager, to confess to the crime.
Mackey truly wanted Frank Doherty to be the murderer as she had a disgust for deserters, one that she eventually explained to Doherty himself.
J.D., who is all cop, rightfully saw too many holes to take Doherty's confession at face value. Things weren't adding up for him.
Fairly early on, Mackey and especially J.D. felt that Doherty was covering for someone. Since he was hellbent on self-sacrifice,...

A pretentious patriarch, a dead child, a mysterious novel, and a stranger in the house, Alice Troughton’s The Lesson is a (very) slow-burn psychological drama film; some may even say a thriller about a young and aspiring author. The film is fairly short and intrigues with its beautiful landscapes and alluring home decor, keeping one on the edge (if that’s your thing). Liam Sommers is invited as a live-in tutor to his favorite author’s home. Overjoyed, Liam takes on the job and finds himself in a gorgeous estate with a lake and a beautiful backyard, where he tutors Bertie, the high schooler that he’s meant to get into Oxford University. The film relies heavily on tropes and ends up being quite predictable by the end.
Spoilers Ahead
Liam And Bertie’s Relationship
A lot of The Lesson goes into building a trustworthy relationship between Liam, our desperate protagonist,...

The NHL and NBA seasons are off to the races! Both leagues got their long regular seasons underway in October, but they’ll both be in action until spring. That’s a lot of games for in-market fans to watch, particularly if they don’t have a cable subscription which provides them with regional sports networks (RSNs).

Lawyers from Diamond Sports Group and Sinclair Broadcasting both pointed to the possibility of Dsg shutting down after the 2024 MLB season.
Diamond Sports Group (Dsg) was back in court on Wednesday for yet another hearing in its bankruptcy proceedings. The company filed for Chapter 11 protections in March, and since then has been attempting to plot out a path to satisfying its debts and emerge as a viable business with its 19 regional sports networks (RSNs) and in-market streaming service Bally Sports+.
At a Nov. 15 hearing, Diamond got approval from Judge Christopher Lopez on an altered broadcasting deal for the NBA this season, though Sinclair and MLB object. Lawyers for both Diamond and Sinclair say the former company could liquidate after the next baseball season. Diamond could agree to a similar deal with the NHL as soon as this week, but MLB will be tougher to convince. 7-Day Free Trial $19.99+ / month ballysports.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for the Season 1 finale of “Gen V, titled “Guardians of Godolkin,” now streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video.
You’ve had a week since the “Gen V” Season 1 finale to theorize about where Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Andre (Chance Perdomo), Jordan (Derek Luh/London Thor) and Emma (Lizze Broadway) are at the end of “The Boys” spinoff’s cliffhanger episode. So, do you have a plausible explanation for the medical facility with no doors that the four supes are stuck in?
It’s Ok, we don’t either, and just like “Gen V” showrunner Michele Fazekas, star Luh is no help to us by keeping his lips sealed — even though he’s finally allowed to talk about the Amazon series after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended — and refusing to be the spoiler-ific Tom Holland of the Vought Cinematic Universe.

Unprofitable clubs could be jettisoned by Diamond before the end of this year, but it wants the chance to give MLB broadcasting one last try.
Diamond Sports Group (Dsg) is well aware that Major League Baseball is out of patience with regional sports network (Rsn) broadcaster. The two sides have been at loggerheads all summer long, as Diamond’s bankruptcy case slowly moves its way through court hearing after hearing.
A new filing from Diamond asks the judge in its bankruptcy case to overrule MLB’s objection to Dsg’s request for more time. Diamond says in the filing it has proposed an agreement whereby profitable MLB games will stay on Bally Sports channels through 2024. The NBA recently agreed on a modified broadcasting agreement with Diamond through the end of the 2023-24 season, and the NHL is expected to do likewise. 7-Day Free Trial $19.99+ / month ballysports.com Why Are Diamond and MLB Back in Court?...

Spoiler alert: This post contains plot details from the Season 1 finale of “Gen V.”
Antony Starr and Karl Urban — who star on Amazon’s Prime Video drama “The Boys” as Homelander and Billy Butcher, respectively — reprised their roles in the Season 1 finale of “Gen V.” And it turns out they were gracious enough to do it on their “day off” from filming as Homelander assists some fledgling supervillains and Billy ties the Supe virus storyline to “The Boys” Season 4.
“Of course with Homelander, we were always kicking around, ‘When do you want to see him?’ And, ‘When do you want to pull that card?’ Because it’s a rare thing, and we didn’t want to squander it,” “Gen V” showrunner Michele Fazekas told TheWrap of Starr’s cameo. “It had come up throughout the season, and then it just made sense as the sort of thing to happen in the finale.
