American Pie is one of those cult classic movies that anyone who grew up in the 1990s has probably seen — many times. It was known for its humor and certainly catered to a more adult audience, but it was loaded with characters that nobody could ever forget.
While it’s been nearly 25 years since the movie was released, some of the actors have remained household names. Where is the American Pie cast today?

Jason Biggs was the film’s main star, and he went on to act in movies far beyond American Pie. There have been plenty of film sequels, and he starred in the first four movies, up until 2012. Veteran action director Simon West ("Con Air," "The Mechanic") has been set to helm the supernatural period war drama "War Wolf" for Fortitude International and Amber Entertainment.
Set in 1356, after decades of relentless war between the French and English armies, an English solider is awarded the castle of his French assassin enemy. But in the walls and the lands that surround it, someone has reawakened the Loup de Guerre, a nightmarish creature on a killing spree.
West will direct from a script by Andy Briggs and Paul Finch for what is a first in a planned franchise. Ileen Maisel, Lawrence Elman and Jib Polhemus are producing and filming begins in Italy in November.

If you haven't yet seen The Devil's Rock, a WWII-based horror film that marked the feature debut for New Zealand director and Weta Workshop special effects artist Paul Campion, you've missed a dark, gruesome and intense tale that feels like it's torn straight from the pages of the classic horror comics... although it's actually based in part on historic events, along with some chilling occult lore. Here's the trailer: I was introduced to Campion recently (by Bane of Yoto author Josh Viola), and I found out he's got tons more amazing horror projects in the pipe – most notably a feature adaptation of Brian Keene's acclaimed horror novel Dark Hollow. Naturally, I had to learn more about that, as well as Paul's amazing short films, and he graciously offered us the scoop. Fearnet: For those who haven't yet seen The Devil's Rock, can you explain the genesis of that project?...

A new digital-only Doctor Who eBook will explore the final days of Matt Smith's Doctor.
Tales of Trenzalore is comprised of four separate tales, each featuring a classic Doctor Who monster.
The Ice Warriors return in 'Let It Snow' by Justin Richards, 'An Apple a Day' by George Mann reintroduces The Krynoids, while the Autons are back in Paul Finch's 'Strangers in the Outland' and the Mara reappears in 'The Dreaming' by Mark Morris.
The tales are set during the 900 years that the Doctor spent defending the town of Christmas, as referenced in Smith's final outing, 'The Time of the Doctor'.
The book's blurb reads: "As it had been foretold, the armies of the Universe gathered at Trenzalore. Only one thing stood between the planet and destruction - the Doctor. For 900 years, he defended the planet, and the tiny town of Christmas, against the forces that would destroy it.

The Devil’s Rock
Written by Paul Campion, Paul Finch, & Brett Ihaka
Directed by Paul Campion
New Zealand, 2011
Horror done on a low budget is nothing new to horror fans. The genre is littered with films that were produced under conditions where more had to be made with much, much less. The Devil’s Rock does what most well-made low budget films do, it limits itself to only a few locations and includes a small number of actors. It’s obvious from the start that The Devil’s Rock has been made with very little money. It’s just as obvious that Paul Campion understands the limitation of his budget and works towards his budget instead of trying for more than said budget could possibly provide.
The reason the budget of The Devil’s Rock matters so much is because it seeps through in every moment of the film. Keeping...

We all enjoy a funny movie – that’s a given – and the most essential part of any funny movie is, of course, funny characters.
The plot of a movie can be funny on paper, but without a good comedic actor bringing the supposedly funny characters to life it just isn’t going to raise any laughs.
Some funny movies and characters bring the laughs economically – and that’s great – but some characters are just so funny that you find yourself laughing whenever they’re on screen.
Funniness can come in many forms; Ineptness, zaniness, exaggeration, ignorance, childishness, stupidity, harshness, vulgarity, sarcasm, wittiness, a funny appearance… I could go on. This list covers all of those traits and more.
Here are 10 hilarious movie characters who make you laugh in every scene…
10. Steve Stifler (American Pie)
Steve ‘The Stifmeister’ Stifler (Seann William Scott) is the deuteragonist of the American Pie series of films.

American Pie's Eddie Kaye Thomas Calls Cops After Allegedly Being Threatened by Knife-Wielding Woman
For Eddie Kaye Thomas, this was no joke. The Lapd confirms to E! News that authorities were called to the American Pie actor's residence Wednesday afternoon and that an unidentified woman was detained following an incident and taken to a nearby hospital. While the police spokesman offered no further details, the Los Angeles Times reports it was a pretty scary situation. According to the paper, Thomas called 911 around 1 p.m. yesterday after a female house guest allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife, threatened him, and then barricaded herself in his home. This all reportedly went down after the 32-year-old actor, best known for playing Paul Finch in the popular film series, had asked the woman...

A Los Angeles Police Department Swat team reportedly swarmed the Hollywood Hills home of American Pie star Eddie Kaye Thomas after a female barricaded herself inside the house.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the unidentified woman (who allegedly spent the night at the residence) armed herself with a knife when asked to leave the home on Wednesday afternoon.
Officer Chris No refrained from officially releasing the identities of the parties involved but did confirm to Et that officers responded to a call in the area, clarifying that it was not a hostage situation: "There was an argument with a female, but the male left the house and called police," he said.
Thomas is perhaps best known for his American Pie character Paul Finch -- a high school student who seduces the mother of his friend Steve Stifler.

First it was summoned. Now, it demands to be satisfied! Wow, this really looks awesome! We have the first trailer (read – teaser trailer) for Paul Campion‘s upcoming horror movie titled Dark Hollow, and trust me guys, this is definitely worth your full attention! First reason: the whole thing is based on Brian Keene‘s novel of the same name. And that’s probably enough. You know, it’s like I say – something very strange is happening in LeHorn’s Hollow, and you say – ok, we got the point!
So, let us share some official stuff with you! The most important thing is that Paul Campion, man who stands behind The Devil’s Rock movie is in charge for the whole thing, and that he will direct from a script which he co-wrote with Paul Finch.

Creators: Ron Wolfe and Dustin Higgins Not since Army of Darkness has there been another memorable medieval zombie movie. Fans may have to turn to other mediums to get their kicks. Paul Finch's book "Stronghold" is filling, but for graphic arts aficionados, Slave Labor Comic's "Knights of the Living Dead" gives love of a subgenre a new focus: do not piss off Queen Guinevere or her ladies in waiting! In an age where the women of the court were sometimes seen as a demure and doting, their transformation in Ron Wolfe and Dustin Higgin's product is worth noting. His approach to retelling medieval legends with powerful female protagonists is welcomed. Although few may nitpick at certain historical inaccuracies, like the fact the plate mail was not used until the Late Middle Ages—and the real Arthur ruled in the 5th/6th century—that can be forgiven for the mix...

Dear Hollywood,
Why is it when I search medieval zombies on my Google that I only find a shelved project announced two years ago and this?
Medieval Dead:Zombie Eats Villager - The top video clips of the week are here
This is unacceptable. Maybe you weren't a fan of Stronghold by Paul Finch (I never read it either), but the idea itself is pure gold you would do well not to ignore. Believe it or not, the Medieval folks of yesteryear were just as paranoid about the walking dead as we are today. In Ireland they even used to put stones in the mouths of robbers, rapists, and murderers to prevent them from returning from the dead.
Allow me if you will to take you on a journey. It's the 14th century, Europe is suffering from the Black plague, but the infection didn't happen the way the history books showed.

According to Urban Dictionary, a Milf (an acronym for Mother I’d Like To F*** you fill in the blank), is ‘Any woman in her early 30s to late 40s who is in danger of being attacked by horny teenage boys.’ MILFs have recently been idolised in films, most notably by American Pie in 1999, but the concept stretches further and wider in cinema history. These films have also encouraged ‘cougars’ around the world to be proud of their sex appeal, despite their age and parental status. In fact, according to a recent study by social networking site Badoo, Britain is a nation of cougars, with more than 50% of older women landing themselves with toy boys. We think that on-screen portrayals of MILFs might have something to do with that.

When there is a film that is about Nazis dabbling with the occult, ears are going to perk, and the question is would it have turned the tide of World War II? With The Devil’s Rock, all those tender loving thoughts are going to get explored again with its DVD release Feb 14.
Shades of Enemy Mine can be found at one level, and some nods to the Indiana Jones franchise can be found at another. On the Eve of D –Day, two New Zealander commandos have been sent on a mission to destroy Nazi gun emplacements in the Channel Islands, in an attempt to distract attention away from the landings. Little do these two soldiers know that they are about to enter a world of horror far removed from the horror of the battlefield.
The Devil’s Rock is a great example of what can be achieved with a great script and a low budget. This is a very tight and claustrophobic film, with some great performances from the leads. Paul Finch has produced an excellent script that captures what I think a film about Nazi’s and demons should be. Director: Paul Campion.
Writers: Paul Campion, Paul Finch, and Brett Ihaka.
The Devil's Rock is a film from special effects guru Paul Campion, which takes place during World War II. It is the night before D-Day (June 5, 1944) and two New Zealanders have a special mission. They must take out one of the German guns on an isolated island. However, the screams of a woman from a nearby bunker draw them down, down into the fiery depths of hell. Just like Dante in the Divine Comedy, these two Kiwis will face unimaginable horrors, in a demon's lair. Then issues of the occult pop up and Campion goes for a tried and true association of Germany with the supernatural, much like earlier films e.g. The Keep (1983), The Bunker (2001), and Outpost (2008).
The red hues and blood splattered walls signal that this is not wholly an earthly plane, as Captain Grogan (Craig Hall) and Pvt.

Seems like a lot of classic monster archetypes are omnipresent on the big screen lately, but zombies still mostly seem to be relegated to filling stores' bottom shelves with low-budget DVD junk. Maybe a high concept will give the shamblers a fair shake. Rebellion and 2000Ad (who are pushing the new Judge Dredd movie toward screens) and upstart Amber are working on Stronghold, which finds a group of medieval knights battling an army of undead. The movie is being adapted from Paul Finch's...

If Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness taught us anything it's that zombies, especially medieval zombies can be lots of fun. The question beckons though ... can they be scary too? Looks as if we're about to find out!

We’ll say this for the undead – they might be shambling, shuffling moaning undead bastards with a single-minded craving for brains (single-minded? Brains? Anyone? Ahem…), but they’ve got one hell of an agent because they are everywhere right now. And they’ve even managed to go back in time, at least as part of the graphic novel Stronghold, which 2000Ad’s Rebellion Publishing is aiming to foist on to the big screen.Paul Finch originated the title, which follows Welsh rebels turning to some very dark, druidic magic to help them in their mission of breaking the reign of English tyranny. The druids summon an undead army that marches on the English, and one young knight goes against orders to rescue his love – who just so happens to be the daughter of his enemy – from the slavering medieval zombie horde.Tom Fickling is hard at work on the adaptation,...

Just the other day I was saying to myself, “Self, when is someone going to make a medieval-set zombie movie already?” As it turns out, the blokes over at 2000Ad and Rebellion have been wondering the same thing, and the result is a new movie called “Stronghold”. It will be based on the book “Tomes of the Dead: Stronghold” by Paul Finch, with Jason Kingsley making his directorial debut on the movie. The plot of the novel goes something like this: When King Edward I of England built Grogen Castle in Wales, he proclaimed it the strongest fortress in the British Isles; impregnable to assault, armed with devices so fiendish that would-be attackers would die in multitutdes. But the Welsh have had enough of English tyranny. Armed with druidic magic and an ancient, mystical artefact, they summon an army to their banner even the most supersitious of Edward’s soldiers could never have imagined.

Paul Campion has begun work on his first feature film. You may have seen his impressive short films Eel Girl and Night of the Hell Hamsters on the film festival circuit. He's presently in New Zealand tackling The Devil's Rock , based on a script he penned with Paul Finch and Brett Ihaka. Weta is on board to handle the FX work. Campion is utilizing Island Bay Studios where the production team has built a massive underground bunker set. Set against the backdrop of World War II, the film follows two New Zealand commandos who uncover a Nazi plot to use demonic forces to win the war. Okay, so on the surface the plot is nothing groundbreaking as some war/horror films have covered this territory before. But with Campion at the helm, we might get something refreshing. Craig...

Cars and airplanes may get tarred with a reputation as energy hogs, but the biggest culprits are buildings. Keeping our offices and homes lit, heated, and cooled accounts for a staggering 72% of electricity consumption and 38% of all carbon emissions in the U.S. That explains why green building is now more than just a trend -- it's becoming a requirement. At this year's World Architecture Festival, nearly all of the showcased projects were designed with sustainability in mind. For instance, New Zealand's Yellow Treehouse Restaurant was built halfway up a redwood with locally harvested wood beams. Eco-consciousness is adding a new layer to how we erect structures, says program director Paul Finch: "It's changing the way people fundamentally think about buildings" and how we regard environments -- not just the ones we construct but also those we disrupt in the process. -- Anne C. Lee
