Ronald was a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), and worked as an Assistant Director for MGM Studios in the early 1960s before transitioning into other business ventures.

In Palos Verdes, California, Ronald was owner of Carriage Realty, where he developed many real estate projects in California cities, and Hawaii, too.
During his business career, Ronald worked for Proctor & Gamble (P&G) as Junior Brand Manager, Merrill Lynch, Goodbody & Co. as institutional bond salesman, and Bateman Eichler Hill Richards in the bond department.
In 1980, Ronald was elected to the Palos Verdes Estates, California, city council for eight years (two terms) including as mayor. Also, Ronald was Assistant Scoutmaster of Palos Verdes Boy Scouts Troop #276.
