- Architect best known for his 2002 Austrian Cultural Forum building (Manhattan, New York).
- He studied architecture at the Technical University of Graz and in 1959 established an architectural studio in Vienna, Austria as a leading Avant-Gardist.
- He came to the United States in 1964 where he taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and from 1971 at the Cooper Union in New York City and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. In 2003, he became a visiting faculty member at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles, California.
- He is survived by his daughter, Una Abraham, of Vienna, Austria.
- At the time of his death in 2010, he lived in New York City and in Mexico City, Mexico.
