Netflix’s movie selection will make this a September to remember. From an abundance of romantic comedies and dramedies arriving on the streamer this month to fun-loving animation that tells heartfelt stories, there is no shortage of stream-worthy content as the colder months approach. While fall technically does not start until Sept. 21, this list may or may not supply some watch suggestions for pumpkin spice season.

Los Angeles, May 7 (Ians) Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas was forced to cope with a “daunting atmosphere” on ‘Love Again’.
The 40-year-old actress stars in the new romantic comedy film alongside Sam Heughan and Celine Dion but admits it was tricky to generate the emotions required as the picture was filmed in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
“It was nuts at that time. It was tough, but it was a scary time in the world. As actors, we’re the ones that have to take off our masks on set. I was terrified, honestly, in the beginning. It was a very scary, daunting atmosphere, and we were doing a romantic comedy – we had to bring lightness and fun to set in this daunting atmosphere,” she recalled to Entertainment Weekly, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“We really leaned on each other to create a fun environment on set with each other. We would...

For Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the opportunity to star in “Love Again,” the new Sony Pictures romance co-starring Sam Heughan and Celine Dion, echoed her film experience working in Bollywood.
“I was so excited about this movie because I read the script in one go. It was so sweet. It moved me tremendously, and I love that about cinema. I love the ability to be able to touch people,” Chopra Jonas told TheWrap. “And in my Bollywood work, I’ve done a lot of romantic movies, a lot of romantic comedies. I just never got the opportunity to do it here in my work in America. But with ‘Love Again,’ I hope to be able to do a lot more and showcase the variety of genres that I can work in and I’ll enjoy working in. So hopefully I get to do more of these.”

Early in writer-director Jim Strouse’s Love Again, music journalist Rob Burns (Sam Heughan) receives his latest assignment: a profile on Celine Dion as she embarks on a new tour. When Rob, a defiantly unsentimental Scottish bloke, scoffs at the gig, his editor (Steve Oram) fires back by declaring that Dion is in the midst of a “Celine-aissance.” The legitimacy of that statement is debatable, but Dion is at least experiencing something of a cinematic boomlet, between the gonzo fictionalized biopic Aline and references in films as diverse as Turning Red and Queens of the Qing Dynasty.
In any case, Dion is the selling point of Love Again, with the Canadian pop superstar executive producing, performing new songs for the soundtrack, and co-starring as herself. The central narrative of this syrupy-sweet romantic-comedy, however, follows the romantic entanglements of Rob and grieving children’s book illustrator Mira Ray (Priyanka Chopra Jonas). Two years ago,...

Audiences may see Love Again stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in several scenes with Celine Dion, but what they see may not be all that it seems.
The duo recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly that they never actually filmed any scenes in person with the Grammy-winning artist in their latest rom-com due to Covid-19. “We shot during the pandemic, and it was obviously very difficult for people to travel at the time, so we did shoot a lot of it on sound stages and on green screen,” Heughan said. “That was one of the challenges of working during the pandemic.”
The Outlander actor explained that he and Chopra Jonas were filming in the U.K. while Dion was in Canada, which made it difficult. The Citadel actress noted that they filmed the movie when Hollywood was figuring out “how to navigate Covid. All of us couldn’t travel,...

It’s never a great sign when the funniest part of your romantic comedy involves the female lead’s flawless boyfriend being killed by a drunk driver in the opening scene, but in fairness to James C. Strouse’s absurd “Love Again,” this unclassifiable whatsit isn’t a traditional rom-com so much as a grief drama with a severe identity disorder.
Based on a German film called “SMS für Dich” — which sadly doesn’t mean what it sounds like — Strouse’s moribund yet almost intoxicatingly strange new movie is more or less exactly what you would expect to happen if the guy behind depressive indies like “Lonesome Jim” and “Grace Is Gone” decided to make a poppy date flick that adhered to the rhythms and logic of a Lindsay Lohan vehicle from 2006.
Yes, most of the laugh lines in “Love Again” are stale enough that even just hearing them kind of hurts your teeth,...

Priyanka Chopra — who stars as Mira Ray in the flick alongside Sam Heughan’s Rob Burns — said Dion was “just so talented in every realm, in every way,” amid her absence at the star-studded event.
