Andy received his B.A. in rhetoric at UC Berkeley, and then went to USC Law, where he was a Merit Scholar, a Tuverson & Hillyard Scholarship recipient, and a published Senior Submissions Editor for the Southern California Law Review. He completed a full-time judicial externship with the Chief Judge of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Pasadena, and a federal clerkship at the U.S. District Court in Las Vegas, before returning to the global law firm Gibson Dunn full time. Over the years, Andy has worked with a variety of clients across industries, including FX Networks, the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles's Olympics bid, celebrity chef restaurateurs and Las Vegas strip hoteliers. Andy was recruited to be the deputy general counsel at an SEC-registered investment adviser with a peak AUM of over $1 billion that included debt investments in film assets. Andy advised the fast-growing company across all business and legal aspects, giving him a client-side understanding of managing internal and external counsel and vendors, as well as a business-first, holistic approach to solving complex legal problems for his clients.
