Supernatural was the show that never seemed to end. But in 2020, the long-awaited final episode was released. Over the course of fifteen seasons, the show managed to change several genres and offer a whole galaxy of very different storylines.
Supernatural has managed to go from complex emotional drama to hilarious irony over the years, never boring its viewers.
One of the key ingredients that was part of both the drama and the comedy relief was, of course, Crowley. The character, brilliantly played by Mark Sheppard in seasons from 5 to 12, began the series as a humble crossroad demon, but thanks to intelligence, cunning and ruthlessness, he quickly reached the top of the demonic hierarchy and took the throne as the King of Hell.

Vanderpump Rules star Raquel Leviss can proceed with her eavesdropping and invasion of privacy claims against co-star and ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval after a judge ruled Friday that her lawsuit adequately alleges she considered their intimate FaceTime communications “contemporaneous” and “confidential,” meaning she never expected him to record and save them.
Sandoval had challenged the claims in a demurrer motion, arguing that Leviss made the videos herself and voluntarily shared them with him during their secret affair while he was living with his then-girlfriend Ariana Madix, another cast member of the show.

Pedro Pascal has had a terrific few years on the career front due to his acclaimed roles in The Mandalorian and The Last of Us. He has also been cast as Reed Richards a.k.a Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming MCU film Fantastic Four, which will be his official MCU debut. The actor has also been widely called the ‘Daddy’ of the Internet, which the actor believes is because of his penchant for playing loving and caring fathers.
However, Pascal is not the only Marvel star to have taken the moniker as Doctor Who star David Tennant claimed to be a ‘Daddy’ in a recent interview. The actor played the role of Kevin Thompson a.k.a Kilgrave in the Netflix-Marvel show Jessica Jones. He was widely regarded as one of the best villains of the MCU.

Good Omens has not yet been officially renewed for a third season, but things are looking good for the series to return for what would likely be a final round of episodes. Per Deadline, the contracts for the series' stars – Michael Sheen and David Tennant – have been picked up.
Starring Sheen, Tennant, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith, Niamh Walsh, Derek Jacobi, Maggie Service, Quelin Sepulveda, and Shelley Conn, the supernatural series follows angel Aziraphale (Sheen) and demon Crowley (Tennant), representatives of Heaven and Hell on Earth. It's hard to believe that Good Omens has been on the air since 2019, yet only two seasons have aired.
The buzzy Prime Video comedy most recently aired in July 2023, and now, there are questions about a potential Good Omens Season 3.
Below, we've rounded up everything there is to know.
Good Omens Season 3 Renewal Status
Despite last airing several months ago, Prime Video has yet to confirm whether there will be more adventures for Aziraphale and Crowley.
In October 2023, Deadline hinted that a renewal would soon be made official.
The outlet said that options on the cast, led by Michael Sheen and David Tennant, had been picked up.
That typically means that a show is in active negotiations about a pickup.

It took four years for the second season of Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens to arrive, but hopefully, the wait won’t be quite so long for season 3.
Deadline reports that it’s “looking good” that Amazon and the BBC will renew Good Omens for a third season, which will likely be the last for the fantasy series. However, Douglas Mackinnon, who served as executive producer, director, and co-showrunner of the first two seasons, won’t be returning for Good Omens season 3. Mackinnon confirmed his exit on Instagram after posting a photo from the set. In response to a fan, he stated, “I’m not involved with this show anymore.” A fan asked Neil Gaiman what was going on, and he said “Douglas has moved on to other projects.“

Prime Video’s Good Omens may very well return for Season 3, and if it does, it’ll be short one showrunner.

Neil Gaiman fantasy series Good Omens is looking good to land a Season 3 renewal by Amazon and the BBC, I hear. In anticipation of the order for what will likely be the show’s last chapter, the options on the series’ main cast, led by Michael Sheen and David Tennant, have been picked up, sources said.
Not returning for Season 3 is Douglas Mackinnon, who served as executive producer, director and co-showrunner on the first two seasons.
Mackinnon revealed his departure from Good Omens on Instagram. Answering an ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike-related challenge to film/TV professionals to post a photo of themselves on the job, he ran an image from the set of the Prime Video/BBC Two series.
While he did not identify the production, fans recognized the set and started a Good Omens discussion in the comments section to which Mackinnon responded, “I’m not involved with this show anymore.

This Star Trek: Picard article contains spoilers.
Star Trek: Picard Season 3 feels like a miracle. The first two seasons of Paramount’s much-hyped Jean-Luc Picard solo show were arguably hogwash, with some promising moments early on that quickly deteriorated into big fat nothingburgers. But with Season 3 comes the reunion of the old Next Generation crew, and some of the old Trek magic is finally back on screen. It’s ironic, then, that the best thing about Season 3 is a brand-new character in the mix: USS Titan-a Captain Liam Shaw, as played by 12 Monkeys star Todd Stashwick.
We first meet Shaw in episode one, “The Next Generation“, when William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) optimistically arrive aboard the USS Titan-a, intending to convince its captain to divert course so they can investigate an emergency message sent to Picard from his old flame, Doctor Beverly Crusher. This...

Most film fans know that this Sunday, just hours away, is the big award night. As a beloved former late-night talk show host used to see, even after he hosted the event, “In Hollywood, Oscar is king.” So, who’s going to wear that crown? While all the chatter is about the actors vying for the prize along with the ten (!) Best Picture contenders, this Friday we’ll get a chance to see a Best International Feature nominee that seems to be under everyone’s “radar”. But then, it’s a truly “soft-spoken” story, much like its subject. But don’t be fooled because the emotion is loud. much like its heartbeat, in The Quiet Girl.

Idris Elba returns in Luther: The Fallen Sun as Dci John Luther, reprising the role he played in twenty-one episodes of the BBC television series from 2010-19. For the most part, the film plays well as a crime drama, but the cinematic debut of the character seems less focused on telling a self-sustaining story within the already constructed universe of the television series, and more intent on proving that Elba would have indeed made a potent James Bond.
As Luther: The Fallen Sun begins, the disgraced detective is behind bars, being taunted by the cyber psychopath he failed to capture, leading to his incarceration. As the taunting increases, along with the killer’s crimes, Luther decides he must break out of prison and catch this maniac by any means necessary. Once out, Luther mounts his own investigation to identify and apprehend the killer, even as the authorities – including the Police...

Misery is part of the “Luther” equation. It’s visited on suspects and victims and detectives and, to some extent, the audience watching it. Over five seasons, it’s been a cornerstone of the BBC crime drama, a neverending series of rock-bottoms.
That overpowering darkness has been a major “Luther” throughline, coupled with the shuffling in and out of the coworkers and compatriots of Dci John Luther (Idris Elba). He’s had partners — in most senses of the word — die in front of him. He’s uncovered grisly killings and mutilated bodies. Those five seasons have been a steady dose of one-upping, to see how much one man can survive.
So after almost a decade of rumblings, the long-discussed “Luther” movie has arrived. “Luther: The Fallen Sun” is more adaptation than extension, changing the environment and Luther’s toolset in a way that makes it accessible for viewers who haven...

Michael Chiklis knew "The Shield" would attract audiences before it even premiered. He showed a rough cut of the pilot to his neighbors and when they reached the now infamous ending — Chiklis' character, the corrupt detective Vic Mackey, kills one of his own men, Terry Crowley (Reed Diamond), who'd been spying on the rest of the team -- Chiklis recalled:
"One of my friends turned and said, 'Oh my God, you're a villain.' And my other friend went, 'Wait a minute, whoa! He's not a villain, that guy's [Crowley] a rat.' And they started vehemently fighting and I just sat there going [...] 'Wow, we're onto something here.'"
According to Chiklis, this divide spoke to the question of the show: how much evil will we accept from law enforcement in the name of public safety? It was an especially pertinent question in the wake of 9/11 and his friends'...

What I mean by that are narratives that plant their feet firmly on the ground, turn their gaze upwards to the heavens, and dare to dissect the material that had so much influence over my early years. But, and this is where the genre becomes a bit tricky for me, I find myself drawn to escapism over realism. Every year we talk about what a challenging year the real world had, and how great the comics were in response, so this year we thought we’d try something different. The comics were lousy! Just kidding, the comics were great, but it’s certainly something to pair this slate of comics with the tiny glimmers of hope the real world started to let peek through in 2022.
And this is a truly great slate of books, too. We’ve got standard superhero fare, which seems to get bigger, weirder, and better every year. We’ve got the deeply personal, slice of life books full of self reflection and quiet moments, done in the brilliant way only the finest cartoonists can do. Detective dramas are a dime a dozen, but the BBC series "Luther" was possibly the most intense and sometimes shocking police procedural of all time. The series mixed high-intensity thriller stakes with a deeply dramatic detective story, following Idris Elba's character John Luther as he tried to reconcile the daily horrors he witnesses on the streets of London with his idea of justice.
When "Luther" began in 2010, Elba was already a rising star with roles like Stringer Bell on the hit series "The Wire," but in the 12 years since, he's become a global superstar. Thankfully, the talented performer has another round as the tortured detective Luther in him, as the detective's first film, "Luther: The Fallen Sun," is set to debut next year.

Twitter has stopped enforcing its Covid misinformation policy, designed to prevent the spread of harmful false narratives about the pandemic. This has increased simmering concerns that the platform, already an echo chamber for many users, could become a misinformation super-spreader. Users are already testing the waters to see what kind of false statements they can knowingly publish. “Covid was created in a lab by the Chinese with the assistance of Dr. Fauci,” one user tweeted Tuesday, quickly garnering 5,000 likes. “Ivermectin works!!! Meg Donnelly as Mary and Drake Rodger as John in ‘The Winchesters’
The CW’s Supernatural prequel, The Winchesters, made its New York Comic Con debut on October 9, 2022, with Supernatural’s Dean Winchester – Jensen Ackles – joining Meg Donnelly (“Mary Campbell”) and Drake Rodger (“John Winchester”), as well as executive producer Daneel Ackles and showrunner Robbie Thompson, for a screening of the show’s first episode followed by a Q&a. Jensen Ackles will be reprising his role as Dean to narrate the prequel which focuses on Sam and Dean’s parents, John and Mary Winchester.
Nycc attendees got a big surprise when Ackles had the pleasure of introducing the actor who will play Samuel Campbell, Mary’s father, and Sam and Dean’s grandfather: Tom Welling. Welling joked he lost a bet and that’s why he’s there, and Ackles reminded everyone he and Welling have been friends since Smallville.

In 2019, "Good Omens" proved to us that there's such a thing as an angel and demon pair made in heaven as long -- as they're played by Michael Sheen and David Tennant, respectively. The Prime Video/BBC TV show was written as a limited series since the 1990 source material, written by producer and showrunner Neil Gaiman ("The Sandman") and the late Terry Pratchett, was a stand-alone book.
The besties have saved the world from the Apocalypse and thwarted the Antichrist. But Gaiman decided there could be more adventures for the angel Aziraphale (Sheen) and demon Crowley (Tennant) after all. So at New York Comic Con, Gaiman, Douglas MacKinnon, Rob Wilkins (executive producer), actress Maggie Service, actress Nina Sosanya, and newcomer Quelin Sepulveda gathered to tease "Good Omens" season 2.
"It would be about six episodes," Gaiman revealed. "Each 45 minutes." And while the show already has one nice angel in Aziraphale, the...

Prime Video’s New York Comic Con panel for the much-anticipated season two of Good Omens featured writer/executive producer Neil Gaiman, director Douglas Mackinnon, executive producer Rob Wilkins, Maggie Service (“Sister Theresa Garrulous”), Nina Sosanya (“Sister Mary Loquacious”), and Quelin Sepulveda (“Muriel”). Michael Sheen (“Aziraphale”), David Tennant (“Crowley”), and Jon Hamm (“Gabriel”) also very briefly joined the gathering via Zoom to discuss the upcoming season which will arrive on Prime Video in the summer of 2023.
Neil Gaiman, who confirmed the second season will consist of six episodes, first approached Amazon and BBC in August 2019 with the plot of season two. They loved it and that led to a conversation with writer John Finnemore in December 2019 in which Gaiman came up with the season two ending.

The animated Netflix "Castlevania" series has no shortage of talented voice actors, including Richard Armitage, Lance Reddick, and Bill Nighy, but one familiar voice might be harder to put a face on. Actor Emily Swallow is no stranger to genre storytelling, breathing life into characters from major geek properties in animation and live-action, but two of her most recent major roles have kept her face completely out of sight.
In "Castlevania," which expands on the lore from the Konami video game franchise, she voices the beautiful and tragic Lisa Tepes. Lisa is the beloved wife of Vlad Tepes (Graham McTavish), better known as Dracula, and together they have a son, Alucard (James Callis), who serves as one of the main protagonists of the series. Lisa was vital to the series, as her death causes Dracula to curse all of humanity and begin his war against them. She serves as the catalyst for incredible destruction,...

It goes without saying that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) are the heart of "Supernatural." Throughout its 15-season run, the monster-slaying brothers were the face of the CW series: its story begins and ends with them, saving people, hunting things and living up to their family legacy. But its also true that they couldn't have saved the world from multiple apocalypses without a little help from their friends.
As the seasons progressed, what began as a story about two brothers searching for their father became a beautiful example of the power of found family. It's hard to remember a time before Castiel (Misha Collins) was a core part of their team and, while he's only introduced in the last couple of seasons, Jack Kline (Alexander Calvert) later becomes a crucial addition to their family.

The Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, stars many famous faces – from Matt Smith and Paddy Considine to Olivia Cooke.
A relative newcomer reportedly joining these actors on screen is 20-year-old Ty Tennant, the son of Doctor Who star David Tennant and his wife, the actor Georgia Tennant. David adopted Georgia’s son Ty back in 2011, the same year the couple got married.
It has not yet been officially disclosed who Ty is playing in the HBO show, but it is thought that he is portraying a teenage version of Prince Aegon Targaryen, after Georgia posted a picture of her son at the series premiere with the hashtag #aegontargaryen.
Viewers might have seen Ty on screen before, as a New York gang leader in the 2021 BBC drama Around the World in 80 Days. He co-starred with his father David in the show. David previously said working with...

Eric Weiner’s ‘Deadly Detention’ Turns ‘The Breakfast Club’ into a Bloody Slasher [Buried in a Book]
Trapping characters in a single location makes for a compelling story. And having everyone be strangers certainly helps rack up conflict and drama as well. Sure, it’s an overworked formula at this point, but the results are undeniable. Eric Weiner, a ghostwriter for Fear Street Sagas, gave the recipe a whirl in his 1994 book Deadly Detention. He was clearly inspired by one of the most seminal examples of these “bottle” tales, The Breakfast Club, but unlike John Hughes’ benchmark of teen movies, the characters in this story aren’t mired in expectations or concerned with social constructs. No, these young detainees are running from a more tangible threat — one hoping to keep them in school forever.
The book begins with the six main characters reporting to their disciplinary destination, classroom 301 at Harrison High School. For a few hours on this ill-fated afternoon, these unlucky students belong to Mr. Lance Crowley.

Both "Supernatural" and "Doctor Who" fans love Mark Sheppard. For fans of the long-running paranormal series, the actor is well-known for playing the frequently recurring villain Crowley — the King of Crossroads and King of Hell (albeit in Lucifer's absence). The actor nailed Crowley's devious, charming but manipulative persona in the show, capturing the character's usual suave facade with great authenticity. Along with "Doom Patrol," Sheppard has also starred in two episodes of BBC's hit sci-fi series "Doctor Who," portraying Canton Everett Delaware II, a man who accompanies Matt Smith's Doctor and his companions on a secret mission to America.
Then, Sheppard had to navigate through filming two of television's biggest shows at the same time, which was not an easy job. Sheppard went through a particularly challenging ordeal: Filming a multi-season series can be grueling because there's hardly any time for actors to take on different projects, and...

The Quiet Girl is one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever seen. It is perfection. It is impossibly small, and emotionally immense. This is the sort of film that creeps up on you slowly, in ways that you don’t realize are happening, until you are so utterly overcome with emotion that you don’t quite know how to digest it. It’s the sort of film that you sit through the entire end credits of, not because you are wondering which Marvel character will make a surprise appearance after them, or to be polite to the artists and craftspeople who made it, but because you simply cannot move, you’re that overwhelmed.
Honestly, it’s been a long time since I felt like it was disrespectful to the cinema audience that when the lights come up, you are expected to leave. I could have just sat alone...
