- Additional Crew
Ross Sebek not only produces high quality, cinematic work with a distinctive artistic vision, but with over 20 years of industry experience, Ross literally makes ideas come to life. He is known for a lighting style that merges the naturalism of a documentary with the polish of a commercial production. As a somewhat unique, passionate, and fun personality, Ross is able to generate a collaborative camaraderie on set and always maintains a professional demeanor while keeping his head regardless of how challenging a situation may appear.
Starting as a Production Assistant and working his way up through the Camera Department, Ross spent almost a decade as a Camera Assistant where he professionally learned so much about the different types of productions and the various styles of approach. First moving up to shoot Independent Productions, he then went on to work as a Camera Operator for over twelve years, fine-tuning his ability to block a scene and perfect the frame. Throughout this time he was repeatedly given the responsibility to work as the 2nd Unit Director of Photography which has helped him hone his ability to match other Cinematographers' techniques, while also keeping the production process moving quickly and efficiently. To this day he continues to be sought out for these valuable skills. Along with years of camera experience, Ross has spent time working within the Lighting, Grip and Art Departments. He is well versed in many technical skills which include Camera Cranes, Drones, Stunts, Visual Effects and general Post-Production. Having spent over half of his life working with cameras, Cinematography is now as much a part of his instincts, as it is a part of his thought process. His specialties include moving camera, lighting design, shooting cinematic digital video and skillfully conducting the technical side of a narrative set with great efficiency and artistry.
Ross is an active member of the International Cinematographers Guild and he is classified as a local IATSE Director of Photography in both New York City and Atlanta, GA, where he continues to build his reputation as a passionate, creative professional.
