Stars: Larisa Oleynik, Erin Daniels, Heather Tom, Christine Donlon, Christian Oliver, Jasmine Dustin, Jonathan Murphy, Don Frye, Eric Tiede, Whitney Davis | Written by Jonathan Murphy | Directed by John Woodruff
Fifteen years ago, two teenage girls were murdered at Merrymaker Campgrounds. The case was filed as an animal attack, the camp was condemned, and the killer never found. Now, years later Poppy (Christine Donlon) and Anita Bishop (Larisa Oleynik) get set to re-open their parent’s camp. And they even invite Roland Baumgarner (Christian Oliver), the novelist who made his name by penning a bestseller about the case, to the opening.
Billed as yet another Bigfoot/sasquatch movie, Animal Among Us is actually anything but. It is in fact a melding of genre tropes: monster movie, cabin in the woods film, survival horror, dramatic thriller, all rolled into one – sadly – dull genre film saved only by a surprising performance by former Alex Mack Larisa Oleynik.

Nia certainly came into "The Real World: Portland" house with a splash, but it may not have been the first impression she would have preferred to make. Her debut episode last week ended with her saying she wanted to perform oral sex on Jordan in front of the other roommates.
It was revealed this week that it was all a bluff. What she really wanted to do was get a peek down his trousers so she could see if his bad attitude had anything to do with a "little d*ck complex." Then, her plan was to tell the other girls about it, but none of them seemed too impressed with her strategy.
Instead, the other girls thought she made herself look like a slut when she's actually not. Anastasia had a novel, and far simpler idea. "Why can’t you just sit down and have a talk with him...

On the first "Good Wife" episode back from hiatus, Cary is the sneakiest sneak who ever sneaked (snuck?) and we love it. Also -- we knew Leelee Sobieski rocked and this just reaffirms it.
Case of the Week
Jonathan Murphy, son of a big client in the Murphy-Gomez case, got picked up for prescription stimulants. And so did his girlfriend of six months, Alexis, who can't afford a lawyer. Cary is the Asa assigned to it and he needs an ID of the drug dealer (who killed a pharmacist and is a lieutenant of recurring drug kingpin Lamont Bishop) and he'll cut a deal.
But it turns out there's no dealer, it's all a ploy to get Jonathan and Alexis to talk because they're actually the suspects in the pharmacist's murder. That sneaky Cary and the Da's office.
Speaking of sneaky Cary, the couple ID'd one of Lamont's crew ... who is already dead.

Last week, we said goodbye to ABC's Life on Mars after a too-short run of 17 episodes. Love or hate the ending, most people are happy that the show's executive producers -- Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg, and André Nemec -- had a chance to wrap things up before the TV show ended.
As those who tuned in found out, Sam (Jason O'Mara) was not actually a cop from 2008 as we'd been led to believe. He was actually an astronaut from the year 2035 who had been placed in a state of deep sleep for a long trip to Mars. In his dream state, he was supposed to be living out a fantasy about living as a 2008 detective. His spaceship was hit some turbulence which caused the program to malfunction, sending his fantasy persona back to 1973. Elements of his 2035 life and versions of his fellow space travelers (Michael Imperioli, Gretchen Mol, Jonathan Murphy,...

ABC's Life on Mars didn't catch on with enough viewers and was unfortunately cancelled after one brief season. Sadly, tonight we had to say goodnight to the outstanding cast of Jason O'Mara, Michael Imperioli, Gretchen Mol, Harvey Keitel, and Jonathan Murphy.
Thankfully, the show's creators were given enough time to craft a true series finale. Executive producer Scott Rosenberg told Scifiwire, "Basically, this episode was always going to be the season finale, so we just switched things up towards the end. But we always wanted it to culminate with him and his parents... Amongst our favorite things that we did was always with his father and his mother. Every time we went to that well, it really worked for us. You'll realize when you see it Wednesday night at 11:00, you'll see that the whole theme of the entire 17 hours was all leading up to this. To no great surprise, fans of ABC's Life on Mars are quite upset that the network has decided to kill the series after only 17 episodes. Granted, the early ratings weren't that great but the network didn't help matters either. Will viewers be given closure or will they and Sam Tyler be left stranded forever in the 1970s?
Life on Mars, a remake of the popular UK series, revolves around a modern-day detective (Jason O'Mara) who is somehow transported back to 1973. He manages to acclimate himself but is stymied as to the how and why of his situation. The series also features Michael Imperioli, Gretchen Mol, Harvey Keitel, Jonathan Murphy, Dominick Mancino, John Cenatiempo, Chris Miskiewicz, Tom Stratford, Matthew Cowles, and Tanya Fischer.
The drama debuted on October 9, 2008 to a solid 11.33 million viewers and a 3.8/10 rating/share in the 18-49 demographic. Unfortunately, those numbers didn't last and Mars fell significantly in its second week,...

To no great surprise, ABC has opted not to order a second season of their Wednesday night drama, Life on Mars. The show was one of the most anticipated of the season. So, what happened? Will viewers be left hanging or will the show's mysteries be resolved?
A remake of a UK show of the same name, Life on Mars follows Sam Tyler (Jason O'Mara) , a modern-day NYPD detective who's investigating the abduction of his girlfriend (Lisa Bonet) by a serial killer. After being hit by a speeding car, Tyler wakes up in 1973. While trying to figure out what's happened to him, he ends up becoming part of his precinct in the past. Is he in a coma, insane, or a true time traveler? The stand-out cast includes Michael Imperioli, Gretchen Mol, Harvey Keitel, Jonathan Murphy, Dominick Mancino, John Cenatiempo, Chris Miskiewicz, Tom Stratford, Matthew Cowles, and Tanya Fischer.

ABC has announced that the time-traveling detective series Life on Mars will not be receiving a second season. Mars was an American remake of the British series of the same name. Starring Jason O'Mara, Gretchen Mol, Jonathan Murphy, Michael Imperioli and Harvey Keitel, Mars centers on a NYPD detective who, after a car accident, is mysteriously transported back to the 1970s. Originally developed and shot in 2007 under David E. Kelley, the show was redeveloped and reshot after Kelley departed. Under the new showrunners, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg, just O'Mara was kept from the original cast; it was also retooled to better reflect the U.K. original. The series, from 20th TV and ABC Studios, will complete its 17-episode freshman series order with the season finale written as a series finale that will wrap the loose story ends, explain how Tyler got transported back in time and (maybe...

After an all-too-brief two season run on ABC, the network cancelled October Road. Viewers were left hanging with lots of unanswered questions. Will Hannah end up with "Big Cat" or Nick? Who is young Sam's father?
October Road follows Nick Garrett (Bryan Greenberg), an acclaimed writer who hits it big after writing a novel about his small town. When he develops writers block, he returns to face the family and friends he'd left behind. The ABC show also stars Laura Prepon, Brad William Henke, Geoff Stults, Tom Berenger, Jay Paulson, Evan Jones, Warren Christie, Slade Pearce, Odette Yustman, Rebecca Field, Jonathan Murphy, Lindy Booth, Elizabeth Bogush, and Penny Johnson.
Immediately after hearing of the show's cancellation, the show's creators -- Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg -- sat down and wrote a brief ending for Road. Appelbaum said, "It's sort of like therapy for us, but the most important...

Remakes are in again. That seems to be the trend nowadays, when networks tend to snatch a British series format and create their own based on the original. This holds true for ABC’s Life on Mars, which recently debuted earlier this month. The series stars Jason O’Mara as Sam Tyler, the detective who gets thrown into New York circa 1973 after being hit by a car in present time. While there, he tries to fit in while juggling his job under Gene Hunt (Harvey Keitel) and working alongside Ray Carling (Michael Imperioli), Annie Norris (Gretchen Mol) and Chris Skelton (Jonathan Murphy).
Recently, Michael Imperioli spoke to the New York Times, saying that his role on the show allowed him to stay with his family in New York, where they are currently filming. The 42-year-old father of three also grew up in the area of Mount Vernon, near New York City.

It will be an "October Road" reunion on ABC's midseason drama "Life on Mars."
The new creative stewards of "Life on Mars," "October Road" creators Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg, have recruited former "October Road" co-star Jonathan Murphy for their new series.
Based on the British series, "Life on Mars," centers on a modern-day police detective (Jason O'Mara), who, after a car crash, finds himself mysteriously transported back to 1973 and still working as a detective.
Murphy will play Detective Chris Skelton, a jittery young detective who is new to the department.
On fan favorite "October Road," which was canceled in May after two seasons, Murphy played Ronnie.
