Natasha Henry is a Sydney-based Australian Papua New Guinean screenwriter and producer. Since graduating from the Australian Film Television Radio School in 2021 with a Masters in Screenwriting, her short film Pasifika Drift, written in English and Tok Pisin, was nominated for an Australian Writers Guild AWGIE Award and will premiere at South by Southwest (SXSW) Sydney in 2023.
Natasha is a writer and trainee script editor on a crime drama series being produced by Matchbox Pictures. She recently received Generate funding from Screen Australia to develop her original art museum comedy series Custodians. In 2022, Natasha was selected for the Australians in Film talent development program Untapped, where she was mentored by U.S production company Hello Sunshine (Big Little Lies, Surface, Little Fires Everywhere).
Natasha's work ranges from drama to comedy and is informed by her cultural heritage and passion for the Pacific Islands region, as well as her previous career working at a high level across arts and entertainment in audience strategy. She has a passion for telling diverse, female stories which explore the worlds she's lived between.
