In 2015, Eric Artell started hosting improv classes for Vine stars. By teaching those creators the principles of comedy, Artell helped them sharpen the humor in their videos.
Seven years later, Vine is gone, but Artell is still finding ways to teach creators to say "yes, and." For nearly six years, the actor has served as the Director of Creator Development for Collab, the L.A.-based network known for working with top social media stars like King Bach and Dang Matt Smith. One of his duties in that role is something he calls the "content brainstorm." Working alongside Collab's content team, Artell helps the network's creative partners come up with new ideas and find inspiration.
So far, Collab has run over 120 of these Labs. The meetings vary in their scope and goals. Some creators come prepared with specific ideas they'd like to flesh out, while others require more direct guidance...

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Even if it’s from outer space.
Jason R. Miller is teaming up with Dark Sky Films to write and direct the sci-fi thriller, Unidentified. This is Miller’s first time in the director’s chair but he is no stranger to the genre, having co-produced and worked as second unit director on both Hatchet 2 and Frozen.
Here’s the synopsis via Dark Sky:
The movie is an original mix of sci-fi-thriller and horror. During a wild weekend in Las Vegas, four young friends get into trouble with a loan shark and must skip town in a hurry. But gambling problems may be the least of their worries after they get stranded in the Nevada desert. One of the guys discovers a mysterious metal fragment, then promptly goes missing during the night. When the remaining three catch up with their lost friend, there's something different about him.

The United States on Friday placed Russia on its list of countries with the worst records of preventing copyright theft for the 13th straight year, just days after the two nations agreed to intensify talks on Moscow's bid to join the World Trade Organization.
The U.S. Trade Representative's office also put China on its "priority watch list" for the sixth consecutive year and Canada for the second. The list carries no threat of sanctions, but aims to shame governments into cracking down on piracy and updating their copyright laws.
"Intellectual property theft in overseas markets is an export killer for American businesses and a job killer for American workers here at home," U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said in a statement.
Algeria, Argentina, Chile, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Venezuela rounded out the priority watch list.
