Born in 1984, French-Moroccan lives and works between Casablanca and Porto. As a radical challenger of prevailing conformity and doctrine, Zineb Andress Arraki (ZAA) is a phenomenon in the landscape of Moroccan architecture. Originally from Casablanca, she studied at the École Speciale d'Architecture in Paris. It was in the architecture studio that she met her mentor: L. Lemire, "a great man who taught her everything, that to be an architect today, more so than yesterday, is to experience the world through the unique otherness of every culture." Under his guidance, she earned her degree with "Et si le noir fabriquait l'architecture ?" (If Black Were to Produce Architecture), the genesis of her aesthetic and ethical work. She later joined the Odile Decq firm, where she worked for three years on projects ranging from urbanism, scenography, object design, and art book publication.ZAA is a complete artist, hypersensitive yet visceral, who sources her strength in the diversity of creative channels at her disposal. She is as committed to life as she is to work, blending architecture, photography, scenography, production design, image, and sound to bring into being the compelling works that have integrated exhibitions in France, Morocco, Switzerland, the US, Dubai, the Netherlands, and Belgium.Since 2018, she has fully embraced a career in the film industry as an art director. She worked with talented production designers such as Colombe Raby, Johann George, Zeki Saraylioglu... The combination of her multiple skills & experiences has allowed her to achieve great flexibility and creativity in her work as an art director.
