Rob Sargeant was a graduate of Bealart (London, Ontario, Canada)
1985-1987 as a Film Major and Photography Minor. He went on to study
16mm Film Production at the London International Film School (London,
England) in 1987. There he was invited to work with a fellow Egyptian
film school student on a dramatic film in Cairo, Egypt and spent six
months working there assisting on two productions. While in Pasadena,
California in 1990, Rob met Director 'Roger LeBlanc' who was also a native of
London, Ontario. At the time Roger was in talks with 'Don Richardson' regarding
Stars, Sand & Dust (1997). In 1990 Rob returned to Cairo, Egypt to do research and
development completing a feature length screenplay and two shorts in
colaboration with Bishara Shoukry. During this time he produced an
experimental video entitled "Angel Song" using local talent. After
returning from Egypt in 1993, Rob worked in Pasadena, California as
associate producer on the TV documentary "Air Five, Keep It Alive".
Roger LeBlanc contacted Rob in 1996 to work on the "Stars, Sand & Dust"
Project, where he took on the role of co-producer and lead actor.
'Gospel Films' handled worldwide distribution.
In 1997 Rob produced a promotional video in Calcutta, India for the Calcutta Mission of Mercy, highlighting the challenge they have there feeding the poor and schooling orphans. In the summer of 2002 he produced a promotional training video for the Canadian Armed Forces "Naval Gun Run" display team travelling with the team for three months across Canada.
