“Shelter In Place. Wait Further Instructions” Watch The Scary New Trailer For A Quiet Place: Day One
“It’s the end of days. No more people.” It’s time once again to stay totally silent and totally still in the cinema when you go to see A Quiet Place: Day One. Just as audiences did in 2018 when director John Krasinski unleashed his horror film A Quiet Place on an unsuspecting public, everyone in the theater went dead quiet so as to not give away the Abbott family’s hiding places.
A Quiet Place: Part II showed the aftermath of the deadly events at home and the new terrors the family faced in the outside world. The sequel starred Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Djimon Hounsou and John Krasinski. From the opening moments of the film, the family was on the run, beyond any semblance of security and searching for refuge in a town gone mad with fear. In a time when empathy and connection...

After teasing the release of the new trailer for the upcoming horror prequel, Paramount has just dropped the official second trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One. The film showcases that fateful day when the invasion began and the people of New York would struggle to deal with a fatal menace that attacks from sounds. The trailer seems to be the same one that was premiered at CinemaCon this year, as the footage matches the description given by our own Lance Vlcek, who was in attendance.
While John Krasinski directed the previous two films, he is producing A Quiet Place: Day One and has passed the helming duties over to Michael Sarnoski, director of the Nicolas Cage drama Pig (watch it Here). Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special) was attached to write and direct A Quiet Place: Day One for a while, but when he dropped out he was replaced by Sarnoski.

As has been the case in The Equalizer from the beginning, what Robyn (Queen Latifah) does and keeping that secret affects not just her, but those around her. And sure, Vi (Lorraine Toussaint) and Delilah (Laya DeLeon Hayes) know, but Vi’s girlfriend, Trish (Gloria Rueben), remains in the dark—and that’s a source of conflict in that relationship right now. But given the scope of what Robyn does as she helps people using her skills as a former CIA operative, and that that’s something that she would then have to keep secret, there is the question of whether Trish would want to know. When TV Insider asked Gloria Reuben just that question, she confirmed she would. “I think honesty is key, and I think that she feels that way for sure. If secrets need to be kept in order to protect or honor certain parameters of someone’s extended family,...

“One of the things that I’m most proud of, if not the most proud of, is that Jeanie Boulet walked out of that ER,” Gloria Reuben says, looking back on the NBC medical drama that aired for 15 seasons (1994-2009) and of which she was a part for six seasons. ER just celebrated the 15th anniversary of its series finale, but people are still watching it today, thanks to it being available on Hulu and Max. “I’m super proud because it’s still a hit today,” Reuben (who’s now recurring on Elsbeth and The Equalizer) tells TV Insider. “It stands alone as one of the all-time best medical shows ever, and I’m very humble and very proud to have been a part of it.” Like us, she loved Jeanie Boulet. “She was really brave ...

Elsbeth is about to show a softer side to Captain Wagner (Wendell Pierce), and you’re going to love how the charming, quirky, and just plain fun show does that. The April 11 episode introduces Wagner’s wife, Claudia (Gloria Reuben), and from her first scene, you can immediately see why she fits in so well into Wagner’s world and is good about separating him from it. Also in the episode, “Love Knocked off,” Retta guest stars as an elite matchmaker who goes to extreme lengths to keep her socialite client from finding out the truth about her perfect new husband. When he goes missing, Captain Wagner assigns Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) and Kaya (Carra Patterson) to investigate. Below, Reuben introduces us to Claudia and talks about working with Preston and Pierce. Over the first few episodes, we’ve mostly seen the gruff side of Wagner, but his wife is very different.

I love a twisted party-horror flick like Talk to Me, Bodies Bodies Bodies, or the incredibly underrated +1 (aka Plus One but not the Jack Quaid and Maya Erskine movie), which might explain my adoration of Greg Jardin’s It’s What’s Inside. You might recognize the title for its astounding $17 million sale to Netflix out of Utah’s Sundance Film Festival, which is money well spent for the streamer. Jardin writes, directs, and edits a shifty yet cleanly conveyed science fiction thriller that feels akin to the functional simplicity of Shane Carruth’s Primer meets a boozy [redacted as per filmmaker and studio wishes]. Filmmakers who’ve tackled similarly fantastical concepts have stumbled over needlessly complicated narratives, while Jardin focuses on digital-age comedics and dire consequences that entertain with ease.
We first meet struggling couple Shelby (Brittany O'Grady) and Cyrus “The Virus” (James Morosini): stagnant, physically starved "lovers" who get into heated arguments about when to have sex.

Plot: A group of college friends reunite for a weekend-long party. When one of the gang shows up with a mysterious suitcase in tow; the group gets to know each other in an unusual – and perhaps even terrifying – way.
Review: It’s What’s Inside presents anyone reviewing it with a problem. Something that happens early in the film is so unexpected that spoiling it would be a crime. Yet, the problem is that this potential spoiler is the instigating event. How do you discuss the rest of the movie if you can’t even really dig into what it’s about? Indeed, the company repping the film begged us in a follow-up email to our screening not to spoil the premise. As such, this review is going to be vague.

Dark secrets, resentment, and jealousy raucously bubble up to the surface in writer/director Greg Jardin’s feature debut, It’s What’s Inside. A pre-wedding reunion amongst former college friends begins with easy revelry as eight gather to reminisce and imbibe in mind-altering substances. Only none knew just how mind-bending the night would become when a suitcase emerges to introduce a new party game, one that catapults the group into an identity-bending funhouse of sci-fi comedy and horror. Its irreverent tone and Jardin’s visual eye ensure a highly entertaining time, though it becomes prone to tangled knots.
The opening introduction to college sweethearts Shelby (Brittany O’Grady) and Cyrus (James Morosini) sets the manic, social media-obsessed culture and comedic tone as the pair bicker over a botched attempt to rekindle the passion in their relationship. Shelby’s sweet intentions are undermined by insecurities and suspicions that Cyrus isn’t entirely being truthful with her.

Sorry About Your Wife, Reuben: Filmmaker John Hamburg Looks Back on 20 Years with ‘Along Came Polly’
It’s been 20 years since senior Model Un delegate Polly Prince wandered back into the life of unlucky-in-love insurance adjuster Reuben Feffer.
Jennifer Aniston charmed the pants off Ben Stiller’s persnickety everyman as the chaotically seductive title character in “Along Came Polly”: filmmaker John Hamburg’s raunchy odd coupling about a New Yorker who catches his wife (a perfectly loath-able Debra Messing) cheating on him with a scuba instructor (a hysterical and jacked Hank Azaria) during their tropical honeymoon. Back in the city, with the misguided help of his friend and former child star Sandy Lyle (the late Philip Seymour Hoffman at his funniest), Reuben runs into blast from the past Polly, who may or may not be the real love of his life, just two weeks later.

Last awards season, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” won almost everything at the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Its four victories were for actress Michelle Yeoh, supporting actress Jamie Lee Curtis, supporting actor Ke Huy Quan and best ensemble cast. While the scope of the sweep surprised many, the film’s triumph in the top category was widely expected.
This year, it doesn’t appear likely that any film will match the unprecedented SAG Awards feat achieved by “Everything.” However, I do think that current Gold Derby frontrunner “Oppenheimer” will maintain its lead, and ultimately will win the guild’s prestigious best ensemble prize. Here are five reasons why.
1. It boasts a cast filled with heavyweights.
