Kolkata, March 13 (Ians) Atk Mohun Bagan came out 4-3 victors on penalties against defending champions Hyderabad Fc in the second leg of their Indian Super League (Isl) 2022-23 playoff semi-final at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan here on Monday to set up the final clash against Bengaluru Fc.
The deadlock remained intact after 120 minutes of football before Vishal Kaith’s save from Javier Siverio’s penalty, followed by a miss from Bartholomew Ogbeche allowed Atkmb to win the shootout with captain Pritam Kotal’s spot kick.
The shootout itself was a reflection of Hyderabad’s struggle throughout the game to get any shots away to trouble their opponents. A series of Atkmb attacks tested Hyderabad Fc for most of the game.

Mumbai, Nov 6 (Ians) Mumbai City Fc and Atk Mohun Bagan were involved in a high-octane 2-2 draw in an Indian Super League (Isl) encounter at the Mumbai Football Arena here on Sunday.
The draw takes Mumbai City Fc to 9 points and lifts them into third place, 4 points behind Hyderabad Fc. Atk Mohun Bagan Fc are now fifth in the table, level on points with Chennaiyin Fc.
Lallianzuala Chhangte’s screamer in the fourth minute was nullified by Joni Kauko’s deflected equalizer three minutes into the second half. Rostyn Griffiths put the hosts in front again in the 72nd minute before Carl McHugh scored four minutes after coming on in the 89th minute.
Chhangte put Mumbai City in front after just four minutes as the winger cut inside from the left flank and unleashed a ferocious strike at goal. The ball came off the underside of the crossbar and bounced inside the goal line.

In a first for Bagan this season, two first-half goals signalled the downfall for a beleaguered Bengaluru Fc who were punished for their defensive mistakes, gifting two setpieces for the Kolkata side to convert. Roy Krishna scored from the penalty spot in the 37th minute after which Marcelinho scored in the 44th minute from a direct free-kick.
Bagan stand second with 33 points from 16 games while Bengaluru Fc remain sixth with 19 points, four points adrift of the top-four with one less game to play.
