Hannah Carman is an actress, singer, writer and producer from Sydney, Australia. She's had major
roles in a variety of projects including in the web series 'Soul Stories' (2023) on the YouTube
channel 'Fearless Soul', which currently boasts over 3.4 million subscribers. She's also starred in a
variety of award-winning short films such as Young One Studio's short film "Ex Affliction" (2022),
which won 'Best Short Film' at Sydney Women's International Film Festival in 2023. She is very
passionate about singing and has previously been a vocalist for the Australian Girls Choir. She was
vocally trained for 4 years by professional operatic singer and vocal coach Michaele Archer.
In 2021, she was selected as a Top 20 finalist for the international Carmen Duncan Scholarship and was a youth ambassador for Sydney's Griffin Theatre Company. In 2022, she studied at the American Arts Film and Television Academy in their prestigious Actors Conservatory full-time program in Los Angeles. While training in LA, she co-produced (alongside US production company Diversity Pictures), wrote, sung and starred in the musical short film "The Five Stages". The short film premiered in LA at the 2022 AAFTA Film Festival, where the film was nominated for 'Best Ensemble Cast' and Hannah was nominated for multiple awards including 'Best Female Actor' and 'Best Producer'. "The Five Stages" embarked on a festival run in 2023, becoming an official selection at the 'Dreamachine International Film Festival' in LA (winning an award for 'Best Concept'), the 'Experimental, Dance & Music Film Festival' in Toronto (winning an award for 'Best Performances') and the 'Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival' (winning an award for 'Best Art Film'.) "The Five Stages" was distributed and available for streaming on WILDsound TV in 2023, an international streaming platform. At the end of 2023, she also co-produced, co-wrote and starred in another musical short film with Diversity Pictures, "The Final Curtain Call". Alongside musician and producer Dustin Bookatz, she created 3 original songs for the film, which has raised awareness of human trafficking and its impact on women and children.
Hannah became a professional industry member of 'Women in Film & Television Australia' (WIFT) in 2023, a group committed to improving the position and representation of women in the film and television industry. She has several projects in development, including a musical feature film that she's optioning with Australian actress, producer and writer Jessica Orcsik.
