Nicole Renée Sage was born November 30, 1992 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Her upbringing was fairly turbulent as her working class parents divorced when she was 12 years old and as a result she was forced to move over 20 times in 6 years.
Her passion for acting developed at an early age and she was selected for the leads in several school plays. When recommended by her high school drama teacher for a summer acting program in New York City, for which she successfully auditioned and attended.
Soon after, she began to act in short films locally and while still a high school junior was awarded Best Supporting Actress in a Short Film at the Little Rock Film Festival for her performance in Broken (2010). In the film she plays the daughter of a single mother, both of whom are coping very differently with the recent death of their younger brother and younger child respectively.
After graduating high school she continued to act in films locally but needing to support herself she spent several years working as a waitress, saving what she could to eventually move to Los Angeles, which she did in early 2018.
She auditioned for and was awarded a Merit Scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. As part of the 2020 graduating class she was asked to be part of the school's exclusive third year, known as Company, and as a result performed in several theatrical productions back to back including A Streetcar Named Desire (as Blanche DuBois), Shakespeare's Richard III (as Queen Margaret), and Women of Manhattan (as Rhonda) among many others.
She has appeared in several productions as well, including Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) in a small role visible in the trailer as well as the film.
As a result she became member of SAG-AFTRA.
