Exclusive: Angelique Cabral is set to star in the Disney Animation feature Wish, Deadline has learned. She will voice Queen Amaya opposite Chris Pine, who stars as King Magnifico, ruler of the magical kingdom of Rosas, where wishes really do come true.
Wish follows Asha (Oscar winner Ariana DeBose), a sharp-witted idealist who makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force: a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star set out to prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen. Alan Tudyk also stars as a talking goat, Valentino Hall.
The film opens November 22.

The movie recently wrapped production in Los Angeles and was written, produced, and directed by Chadd Harbold. The original film, written and directed by “Outer Limits” creator Leslie Stevens, was out of circulation for 30 years and considered lost, until it was restored and re-released by Cinelicious Pics in 2016 to critical acclaim.
In the remake, Benson stars as Kathryn, a struggling actress and unfulfilled housewife who becomes involved with her new gardener Ben, played by Fernandez. As he gives her the attention and sensitivity she craves, they start to fall for each other. But, in true noir fashion, Ben is not all that he seems.
Benson is best known for her work in “Spring Breakers,” “Her Smell” and the teen mystery-drama series “Pretty Little Liars.

Based on a Spanish format, Tell Me A Story takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Season 2 will feature the tales of three iconic princesses – Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.
Rhys will play Damien Hewett, a slick, straight shooting record executive to rising country music singer Ashley Rose (Natalie Alyn Lind).
Tell Me a Story is executive produced by Williamson and Kapital’s Kaplan and Dana Honor.
Rhys can currently be seen recurring in Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists as Michael as well as Murphy in Syfy’s Nightflyers.

Exclusive: Frank Whaley is set for a key recurring role opposite Kyle Gallner and Peter Sarsgaard in CBS All Access’ straight-to-series true-crime drama Interrogation.
Co-created by Swedish writer-producer Anders Weidemann and John Mankiewicz, Interrogation is a true-crime drama series in which the viewer becomes the detective. It’s based on a true story that spanned more than 30 years, in which a young man (Gallner) was charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother. Each episode is structured around an interrogation. Since the episodes are made to be watched in any order, the audience will jump back and forth in time, witnessing this man’s story unfold in multiple timelines — played at all ages by Gallner. The conclusive season finale will be released at a later date.
Whaley will play a seasoned detective who allows his ambitious young partner (Sarsgaard) to take the lead on a murder case.

Bernard White (Silicon Valley) has booked a recurring role on the upcoming third season of TNT’s comedic drama series Claws. The series follows the rise of five treacherous manicurists working at the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon. White will play Governor Vikram Patel III. Equal parts carnality and ambition, Republican Governor Vikram Patel III is near the tail end of a wildly successful 4-year term when he swings into Desna’s orbit, providing her with the missing piece to a dangerous puzzle. Claws is executive-produced by Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, Janine Sherman Barrois, who also serves as showrunner, and Eliot Laurence, who created the series. Jazmyn Simon (Ballers) is set as a series regular opposite Jason Ritter and Michael B. Jordan in Netflix’s straight-to-series hourlong sci-fi family drama Raising Dion. The series is based on commercial and music video director Dennis Liu’s short film about an African-American single mother who discovers her young son has multiple, constantly changing abilities.

Veteran actor Frank Whaley is set for a recurring role opposite Tony Danza and Josh Groban on The Good Cop, a straight-to-series dramedy crime procedural for Netflix. The project, inspired by a format from Israeli production company Yes, hails from Monk creator/executive producer Andy Breckman and director/executive producer Randy Zisk. Written by Breckman, The Good Cop centers on Tony Sr. (Danza), a disgraced former NYPD officer who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, Tony Jr. (Groban), an earnest, obsessively honest NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules. This “odd couple” become unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly cautious son blunt, streetwise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women. Whaley will play Joseph Privett. Details of the role are being kept under wraps. Whaley was last seen on Netflix as Detective Rafael Scarfe in Marvel’s Luke Cage.

Written by Maria Maggenti and directed by Cherie Nowlan, Murder In Manhattan is a dramedy set in New York centering on mother Blythe and daughter Lex (Regan) who team up as amateur sleuths.
