Skydance Sports is bolstering its team with the promotion of Ashley Nendick to chief financial officer, and the addition of Marjorie Williams as SVP, Business & Legal Affairs.
Nendick joined SkyDance in 2016, most recently serving as SVP, Corporate Finance & Strategy
Williams, an entertainment lawyer, has worked in business affairs at Amazon Studios, UTA, Endemol Shine North America and the former Viacom (Comedy Central and BET Networks).
The move comes as the studio revs up after the release of its first feature, Air. Skydance Sports has partnered with the NFL and NFL Films to expand in multi-platform programming with initial doc projects NFL Draft: The Pick Is In for The Roku Channel and Kelce for Prime Video, and an upcoming series chronicling Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and the Cowboys franchise.
“As our momentum grows, these key executive appointments will play a vital role as we continue building the world’s preeminent sports content studio,...

Pet Sematary has been sequelized, rebooted, and now with the arrival of Pet Sematary: Bloodlines it has a prequel. Adapting Stephen King’s works for the screen is a risky enough proposition, creating new stories based on them even more so as anyone whose seen a few Children of the Corn sequels or reboots can attest. King himself however seems to be happy with this film and tweeted:
“In the book, this is the story Jud Crandall tells Louis Creed to try and dissuade him from using the Pet Sematary,” wrote King. “The screenplay takes a few liberties, but it’s a fine story. David Duchovny is excellent. The secret, as always, is caring about the characters.”

Max may have vouched to bring Samantha’s killers to justice, but it’s a lot easier said than done, especially with Macklin, with all his influence, making sure that the cops never find out the truth. And he is doing it by manipulating the truth itself. It is up to Max and Meg to figure out who to ask the questions and how. Let’s see how things turn out in Episodes 5 and 6 of North Shore.
Spoilers Ahead
Ties
Meg’s new partner for the night (of the Boab Ball) reveals shocking details about Macklin’s patio, which seems to contain the same stone as the one recovered from Samantha’s wound. But one needs to confirm it. When she informs Max about this, he is having a conversation about his marriage with Tori, and we cannot help but notice that they are slowly getting closer to each other emotionally.

North Shore Episode 3, is the first episode to provide us with breadcrumbs that direct us toward the reason behind the death of Sophie Chalcott. Episode 2 ended with Abigail and Max getting a mysterious call and text, respectively. Episode 3 reveals who the contact is and the proof this person has to claim that he or she knows who killed Sophie.
Spoilers Ahead
Wool Trade
Just as we had expected, the mysterious person was Erika. The laptop she hands Max is Sophie’s and apparently contains data that resulted in her murder. Whoever broke into their apartment earlier was after Sophie’s laptop, and she knew it. So, she was aware that what she had on the laptop was compromising intelligence. The fact that Abigail has told Erika that she cannot be arrested proves that Erika spoke to her as well, probably recently. In fact, Abigail is the one who gave Erika Max’s number.

Not since Julia Sugarbaker told Marjorie about the night the lights went out in Georgia has a female performer given audiences a feast of camp and fury like Kelly Reilly serves every week on “Yellowstone.” And I, a gay man, am here to say that she ate, no crumbs, she is Mother, and whatever we’ll be saying next year because we no longer live in a world that won’t discuss Reilly’s performance as Beth Dutton. With the first half of Season 5 now available to stream on Peacock with the rest of the series, I need to go on the record about something.
Yes, I watch “Yellowstone” (or as most publications call it “That Show Your Parents Love”). Yes, it is problematic and messy and sometimes cringe, and yeah, Ok, I do tend to bear down on the fast-forward button when the men are talking about, I dunno,...

In the new Apple TV+ comedy noir series “High Desert,” Patricia Arquette and Matt Dillon play an off-and-on again couple so naturally that it seems like they must have starred together in some iconic 1990s indie movie. Surprisingly, they haven’t, but the off-kilter, sun-baked menace of films like Arquette starrers “True Romance” and “Lost Highway” permeates the new series, which is peopled with what Arquette calls “wild and weird creatures” in an environment that alternates between arid beauty and strip mall desolation.
In “High Desert,” Arquette’s methadone-dependent, perennial wild child Peggy Newman could not be more different than her buttoned-up “Severance” character Harmony Cobel, whether she’s piloting a dune buggy around the desert, swinging from a chandelier in a Pioneertown Old West show or getting mixed up with another half-baked scam. Peggy, who recently lost her mother, needs to raise money to stay in their house. She...

Amouranth is entering an untested era of fanservice with a company that promises to let people “date realistic AI personas of your favorite influencers and celebrities.”
Forever Voices AI was founded in November 2022 by self-proclaimed “serial entrepreneur, investor and futurist” John H. Meyer. Its goal? “Democratizing access to the world’s greatest minds and turning influencers into AI powered companions, all with immersive 2-way audio.”
Amouranth–who streams on Twitch to more than 6 million followers and makes $1.5 million a month on OnlyFans–partnered with Forever Voices to develop “AI Amouranth,” a Telegram bot companion the company says was trained on “countless hours of Amouranth’s unique personality and inflections.”
Users who pay to access the bot will receive generated voice responses made to sound like Amouranth.
The companion seems like a parasocial playground: It’s explicitly marketed as a way for fans to have “unparalleled personal access to an AI copy of Amouranth herself,...
