Glenn Stout is an American/Canadian author and editor of nearly 100 books, most notably the Trudy Ederle biography "Young Woman & the Sea," (in development as a feature film) "Nine Months at Ground Zero" and the Jazz Age chronicle "Tiger Girl and the Candy Kid: America's Original Gangster Couple." A native of Ohio he is a graduate of Bard College in New York. He lives in Vermont, USA, and has made many appearances in sports-related documentaries.
Editor of The Best American Sports Writing series since its inception
in 1991. Worked as a librarian at the Boston Public Library. Co-written
books on Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, and Jackie Robinson.
