Projects with his name attached, whether he stars or not, seem to live on and on and on.
We've seen 24 revived more times than we can count while fans beg for his return, and now the man himself gets up after being beaten down by ABC with Designated Survivor.

“Designated Survivor” had a tough second season ratings-wise, but the drama starring Kiefer Sutherland as the Commander-in-Chief was still seen as having a decent shot at winning a third term on ABC — until the ax fell on Friday.
The show, from Mark Gordon Co./Entertainment One and ABC Studios, had been a strong draw for eOne in international markets, an important factor these days in the survival of any scripted series. The Good Wife, Season 6, Episode 13: “Dark Money”
Written by Keith Eisner
Directed by Jim McKay
Airs Sundays at 9pm Et on CBS
After the relative, unexpected disaster that was “The Debate,” in which the Kings bit off way more than they could chew thematically speaking, it makes sense that The Good Wife would return after its brief hiatus with an episode that mostly plays it safe. Accordingly, “Dark Money” is a total comfort-zone hour in theory, replete with the meta-gags the series has grown increasingly in love with, a legendary guest actor playing sharply against (recent) type, and a set of new plots for familiar returning characters. Should be a surefire slam dunk, right?
Not so much. For starters, the principal returning character of the episode – that is, the one we’ve not seen in a while – is Colin Sweeney (Dylan Baker), the bourgeois almost-definite-murderer for whom the series...

The Writers Guild of America announced the TV nominees for the 2015 WGA Awards on Thursday (December 4) morning and several new shows broke into the fields in a big way. And, of course, there were a number of big WGA Award nomination head-scratchers. Specifically, where the heck was FX's "Fargo"? The answer is below. Making perhaps the biggest splash was "Transparent," which earned three nominations and, since "Orange Is The New Black" earned two nods and "House of Cards" pick up one, that meant that Amazon Prime and Netflix are, at least for one award-giving organization, on equal footing as creators of original programming. The Jill Soloway-created "Transparent" is nominated for New Series, where it will go against "The Affair," "The Knick," "Silicon Valley" and "True Detective." "Transparent" and "Silicon Valley" are also up for Comedy Series, going against "Louie," "Veep" and "Orange Is The New Black." Lest you panic...

The Good Wife, Season 6, Episode 5: “Shiny Objects”
Written by Keith Eisner
Directed by Frederick E. O. Toye
Airs Sundays at 9pm Et on CBS
One of the particular strengths of The Good Wife is its uncanny sense of series memory. With well over 100 episodes’ worth of long-standing character relationships, tertiary characters, and running gags to draw upon, it’s rare that a new episode comes down the pike that doesn’t reward long-time viewers, even if it’s just in a minute way. “Shiny Objects” is, on the surface, a prototypical latter-day Good Wife episode, in that it offers up a case of the week while keeping the season’s master plot humming along, but it also manages (for better and worse) to lean on several long-standing relationships and character beats to an unusual degree.
The least of these bears special mention. This week, it was announced that Archie Panjabi...

The Good Wife, Season 5, Episode 12, “We, The Juries”
Written by Keith Eisner
Directed by Paris Barclay
Airs Sundays at 9pm on CBS
A few times a season, The Good Wife likes to do a “judicial gimmick” episode, throwing the attorneys into a fish out of water situation and watching as they flail, trying to adapt to something they simply do not prepare for in an average trial. “We, The Juries” is one such episode, throwing Will, Diane, Alicia, and Cary into a complicated single trial with two defendants and a bifurcated jury—one for each client. This complicates things not only for both prongs of the defense, but for the prosecution and the judge (played by the always welcome Victor Garber as an imminently decent, efficiency-minded jurist increasingly overwhelmed by the demands of the system he decided on to try the case).
The case involves a newly minted couple accused of drug smuggling.

This week, on The Good Wife: Will leads a coup against Diane, David Lee works pro bono, and Grace wants to look pretty
The Good Wife continues its strong fifth season this week with “A Precious Commodity”. While the court case of the week doesn’t go to the show’s most entertainingly reliable well, bizarre quirks of the law, it does embrace another- moral murkiness. Alicia is wholly in the clear, doing her best to represent the wishes of her client, no matter her personal thoughts on the issue, but the case itself is deliciously tricky. Abortion is an incredibly complex issue, both intellectually and morally, and its quandaries are frequently reduced or dismissed simplistically by arguments from both sides. E! is trying its hand at scripted series, and one of the projects it has on the docket is the latest from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. The "Gossip Girl" and "The O.C." creators teamed up once again on the series "Laurel Canyon," another Southern California-based television show that E! is looking to air.
The project is described as being about "a young woman who returns to her Hollywood family after her rock-star dad dies," and is one of eight scripted shows E! has in development. Among the others is a "darkly psychological retelling" of "The Prince and the Pauper" called "The Stand-In," a modern retelling of "Great Expectations" about a "morally corrupt family in the diamond business in New York City" called "Expectations" and series produced by Gale Anne Hurd and Kevin Spacey.
