Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma of Cherokee descent. She has two sisters
named Cobi and Tipper.
Attended same high school as Nick Nolte, rock group 311, and Jamie
King.
Frequently performed in Childrens theater with Conor Oberst of Bright
Eyes.
Consulted on script for Going Down to be directed by Mike Figgis.
Her first professional acting job was at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San
Antonio.
She attended University of Nebraska at Omaha on scholarship received
from the Miss America organization.
Soon after, moving to New York City, she worked as a nanny, then as an
analyst on Wall Street. Thereafter working in PR and marketing.
Newton competed in the Miss New York USA pageant. After not making the
top 10, later that evening she was awarded Miss Congeniality.
She appeared on the cover of the New York Post, Sunday March 29, 2009,
very much to her own surprise in an article about working as an exotic
dancer after leaving a brokerage firm.
Went head to head with Bill O'Reilly on April 1, 2009 on "The O'Reilly
Factor"...Ironically her friends and family doubted she was actually
going on the show because it aired April Fools Day.
She divides her time between New York City and Los Angeles.
Engaged to writer/director/producer Eric Miclette.
