Hey, "America's Got Talent" fans. Tonight, September 20, 2023, another new, results episode for America's Got Talent's current season 18 did indeed air, and we found out who is moving on to the finals from last night's Qualifiers 5 round. 11 contestants performed last night for America's vote, and only the top two vote-getters from last night's group will advance to the finals. Oh, and there's also an Instant save, which will allow a 3rd contestant into the finals tonight. Tonight's new results episode kicked off with them getting right down to business and revealing that Eduardo Antonio is in the top 5, and Grace Good got eliminated. Shortly after that, they revealed that the 82nd Division Airborne chorus was safe, and poor Sangsoon Kim and Mandy Muden got eliminated. Next, they revealed that Avantgardey is still safe, and poor Trailer Flowers and Eseniia Mikheeva were eliminated. After that, they quickly revealed that the Ramadhani Brothers...

“America’s Got Talent” continued the live shows of its 18th season on September 19 with the fifth and final round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” On Tuesday night’s show, 11 acts performed for America’s vote and only two of them will advance to “The Finals” when the results are delivered by Terry Crews on Wednesday night. Before that happens, we can reveal that Your two favorite acts of the night were Brazilian singer Gabriel Henrique and Japanese dance troupe Avantgardey, as voted on by viewers in Gold Derby’s overnight poll.
Gabriel was the only Golden Buzzer act to perform on Tuesday night. He was Sofia Vergara‘s selection after his audition where he sang the Whitney Houston power ballad “Run to You.” At the time, Sofia explained her choice by saying that as a judge they’re “waiting for that feeling and that was what I was waiting for...

Fan-favorite singer Gabriel Henrique from Brazil returned to the “America’s Got Talent” stage on the September 19 episode for the first time since receiving Sofia Vergara‘s Golden Buzzer. This time around, he surprised audiences with his song choice of “Something Beautiful” by Jacob Banks, and Sofia declared him to be nothing less than “perfection” and “an angel.” In fact, all four of the judges were up on their feet and had only positive comments for the powerhouse singer. What did You think of Gabriel’s latest performance?
Watch the live “AGT” video above and read the judges’ comments below:
Sofia Vergara: “I don’t even have anything to say. It was perfection. It was just like an angel. I mean, you are definitely a star. It was beautiful. I think people are gonna vote for you because, I mean, I still have goosebumps.”
Simon Cowell: “You could have sung something more obvious.

During the September 19 episode of “America’s Got Talent,” things got spicy at the judges’ table when Simon Cowell scolded the show’s producers on live television. It all started when Howie Mandel pressed Heidi Klum‘s red X during the vocal performance of “Who You Are” by Nashville singing duo Trailer Flowers. Being a live show, the actual button push wasn’t caught on camera, but when host Terry Crews came out to clarify what happened, the producers played a clip of Howie sneakily pressing Heidi’s red buzzer. Watch the “AGT” moment in the video above.
“I would not press my buzzer in the semi-finals,” Howie falsely declared, despite the proof being shown on camera. Of course, Howie was not being completely genuine because he had previously X’ed Phil Wright & Parent Jam, Sharpe Family Singers and Ray Wold & Mom during this season’s live shows, and received some flack for it online.

“America’s Got Talent” continued its Season 18 live shows on Tuesday, September 19 with the fifth and final round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara take a back seat during this stage of the competition because all of the power is now in America’s hands. The audience votes for their favorite acts overnight with results airing on Wednesday. Only two of the 11 acts in each of the five “Qualifiers” will advance straight to “The Finals.”
The “Qualifiers 5” episode featured performances from Sofia’s Golden Buzzer selection, singer Gabriel Henrique, as well as chorale group 82nd Airborne Chorus, dance group Avantgardey, mariachi singer Eduardo Antonio Trevino, dancer Eseniia Mikheeva, hula hoop artist/aerialist Grace Good, singer Lachune, comic magician Mandy Muden, acrobatic duo Ramadhani Brothers, magician Sangsoon Kim and singing guitarist duo Trailer Flowers.

We’re just one week away from the “America’s Got Talent” season 18 finale. As in the past, this year’s champion will take home a $1 million cash prize and be able to showcase their talent as a headlining act in Las Vegas. We already know eight of the acts that will contend for the title and another will be determined by viewers watching Tuesday’s Qualifiers 5. This live two-hour show on NBC will feature encore performances from 11 acts that won over “AGT” judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara during their auditions earlier this summer.
The roster of talent includes: chorale group 82nd Airborne Chorus, dance group Avantgardey, mariachi singer Eduardo Antonio Trevino, dancer Eseniia Mikheeva, singer Gabriel Henrique, hula hoop artist/aerialist Grace Good, singer Lachune, comic magician Mandy Muden, acrobatic duo Ramadhani Brothers, magician Sangsoon Kim and singing guitarist duo Trailer Flowers.

To date, eight of the 11 finalists have been named for the “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 finale, and five of them are Golden Buzzers: dance groups Murmuration and Chibi Unity, plus singing acts Putri Ariani, Lavender Darcangelo and Mzansi Youth Choir. There is still one week left to go in the Qualifiers round, and Gold Derby readers predict one additional such act will advance to the finale: singer Gabriel Henrique.
That would mean roughly half of the 2023 finalists received a confetti shower in their auditions. However, that doesn’t necessarily give them an advantage over the non-Golden Buzzer acts still in the competition: dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, comedian Ahren Belisle and magician Anna DeGuzman. In fact, you don’t have to look back too far throughout “AGT” history to find an example of such an act going on to win the show.

The live shows of “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 begin on Tuesday, August 22 with the first “Qualifiers” round. In this stage of the competition, the acts sent through by the judges during the “Auditions” phase will perform again for a chance to advance to the finals. Of the 55 acts we know advanced to this round, 21 incorporate some form of singing in their overall talent. That’s over a third of the acts still in the competition, leaving us to wonder whether singing acts have a distinct advantage when it comes to the world’s biggest talent show. “America’s Got Talent” continued season 18 on August 8 with the final two-hour showcase of first round performances in “Auditions 9.” There are no changes to judges’ dais this summer with executive producer Simon Cowell and long-time judge Howie Mandel taking their place on the ends of the table. Heidi Klum returns as well, as does Sofia Vergara who took a break when “All-Stars” aired earlier this year. Hosting duties are entrusted to the lively Terry Crews once again.

The confetti. The tears. The hugs. Admit it: you just can’t get enough of those emotional Golden Buzzer moments on “America’s Got Talent” … and neither can we. This twist was first introduced on the American version of the worldwide talent competition in Season 10, and it’s been an integral part of NBC’s reality TV show ever since.
Throughout the auditions, the four “AGT” judges (and the host as of Season 11) get to press the Golden Buzzer for a single act that moves them emotionally, which sends the performer straight through to the live shows. During the now-defunct Judge Cuts round, guest panelists are allowed to push the button as well for their favorite act. At the start of Season 18, Simon Cowell announced that there’d be a new audience-voted buzzer for an act that wows the crowd. Sofia called it “the perfect ‘AGT’ audition” and Howie was impressed that Nightbirde’s presence touched people all around the planet.

Season 18 Episode 8 Rankings:
12. Sunny Chatum: This comedy act was excruciating. Completely and utterly excruciating to watch. I never wanted to see this act again but then she advanced. Sigh. Here’s to hoping that she does not make the live round unless she goes full on Borat and messes with the audience...

Sofía Vergara was feeling particularly moved on Tuesday’s “America’s Got Talent”, as the eighth night of auditions brought out a stunning Brazilian singer who wowed the judges with his voice.
When Gabriel Henrique hit the stage halfway through Tuesday’s show, Vergara and her fellow judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel — were won over by his smile and his affable personality.
Gabriel was joined on stage by a translator, as he doesn’t speak a great deal of English, but his winning charm shined through any language barriers that may have existed before he even sang a note.
“[This is] my first time here in the United States,” Gabriel shared, via his translator, “and I’m just realizing a dream to be here to sing for you guys.”
While he seemed initially nervous, and needed a few moments to psyche himself up on stage, when Gabriel began his performance,...

“America’s Got Talent” continued season 18 on August 1 with a two-hour showcase of acts in “Auditions 8.” There are no changes to judges’ dais this summer with executive producer Simon Cowell and long-time judge Howie Mandel taking their place on the ends of the table. Heidi Klum returns as well, as does Sofia Vergara who took a break when “All-Stars” aired earlier this year. Hosting duties are entrusted to the lively Terry Crews once again.
In the audition phase of “AGT,” an act needs at least three of the four judges to give them a “yes” vote to advance to the next round. If two or more judges buzz the act, they are immediately eliminated. Each judge and Crews has one chance to hit the “golden buzzer” and send an act straight through to the live performances.
