If a lead is going to pop up on an old case, where better for that to happen than Hawai’i? Catch a bad guy, take in the beautiful views… NCIS‘ Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) does seem to have come across a bit of luck in the March 28 episode, when a missing witness from an old case turns up at the Honolulu office. “Sounds like we all need a vacation,” Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) remarks in the promo. Unfortunately for him, he won’t be joining Torres on his trip. But Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) is. The two cross over to NCIS: Hawai’i, where Torres will be butting heads with Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey). “My case,” he argues. But she points out, “My island.” Watch the video below to see the teams in action. The crossover event begins on NCIS at 9/8c. In “Starting Over,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS Season 19 Episode 14 “First Steps.”] Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) is both father and NCIS director to Kayla (Naomi Grace) in the latest episode, and considering how very wrong the case goes, it’s understandable why he has trouble maintaining a grip on both. With Kayla beginning her field training, Vance assigns Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) as her field training agent. The case should be easy: a reservist Navy surgeon had a heart attack mid-operation, something they usually don’t investigate. “My daughter, she’s smart, she’s resourceful and she wants to prove herself here,” Vance says. “But she can also be impulsive. You and I are both well aware of the dangers that NCIS agents face here daily.” Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) tell Kayla to expect ...

The door could be about to close on NCIS.
The hit series, which stars Mark Harmon, and has birthed multiple spinoffs, is reportedly closing in on an end date.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harmon's contract is up after NCIS Season 18, and there's word that CBS does not want to continue the show without him.
Harmon initially played the role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on Jag before landing the spinoff, and has been the lead star ever since.
While nothing is set in stone, the outlet reports that Harmon could be open to returning for a handful of episodes should CBS opt to renew it.
It's unclear whether this handful of episodes would be with the aim of saying goodbye to Gibbs and finding someone else to take his place in the team.
NCIS is the most expensive show on CBS, but it's also the most-watched series in total viewers in the U.

It is as much a part of Halloween as pumpkins, trick or treating and stuffing your face with candy. Halloween just wouldn't be Halloween without an annual viewing of the Disney spook-fest that is Hocus Pocus.
Firmly established as a cult classic, the 1993 movie was a surprise hit, taking 8 years to get made and originally being planned as a straight-to-tv project titled Disney's Haunted House.

In a lot of ways, CBS' Tuesday juggernaut "NCIS" is the little show that could. Spun-off from episodes of "Jag," it premiered in the fall of 1993 and chugged along for many seasons, well under the radar of TV critics and industry watchers.
Then, in season seven, it started to top the ratings among scripted shows on U.S. television, then in the 2012-2013 season, it became the number-one most-watched show of the year, averaging over 20M viewers per episode.
Whether your favorite "NCIS" fan likes to wear, play with or display show merchandise, there's a little something for everybody.

NCIS was a rocking good time tonight, and not just because of an eccentric '80s one-hit wonder or a faux lunar sample.
"Phoenix" featured an unorthodox case with an unexpected team member running point. None other than Dr. Mallard got to run the show this week after Gibbs evoked Rule #38 (see Gibbs rules): Your case, your lead.
How did Ducky end up in such an unfamiliar position, and how did the recovering M.E. handle it?
Inspired by an obituary, he exhumed the body of Commander Roberts, who died 12 years ago after what Ducky no longer believed was an accident. Coincidentally, his cold case quickly tied into the team's latest victim.
Rather than relieve him because he wasn't cleared to work in a medical capacity on a current case, Gibbs let the team's elder statesman run the investigation. A class move, and the old man didn't let him down.

NCIS boss Gary Glasberg had “no doubt that it will all work out,” and sure enough it did: Michael Weatherly, Sean Murray and Pauley Perrette all have signed new deals with TV’s most-watched drama series, our sister site Deadline reports.
The actors, who respectively play Tony Dinozzo, Timothy McGee and Abby Sciuto, each inked two-year deals, which take them into the upcoming Season 10 as well as 11 (which, face it, is a foregone conclusion).

Man, we are digging this ongoing trend on NCIS to meet the parents (and grandparents, and occasional sibling).
So who’s the latest actor to play a father figure on the popular CBS show?Larry Miller!
EW has learned exclusively that the comedian and veteran TV actor has been cast as Ed Slater for the show’s Christmas episode airing in December. He’ll play the future father-in-law of Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen).
“Jimmy Palmer is engaged. And with fiancée Breena comes spending the holidays with his future in-laws,” explains Exec Producer and Showrunner Gary Glasberg. “We needed a curmudgeon...

"We pronounce it Gibbs." - Tony
After a number of installments centered around the NCIS team members, last night we were treated to an episode based entirely around the man himself, Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Or Leroy, as some might call him.
Maybe that's just what the show needed, a Gibbs episode to right the ship. I've enjoyed this season for the most part, but Mark Harmon truly anchored this week, reminding us why he's TV's #1 leading man.
Watching him navigate the dysfunctional family reunion of sorts that the case - with FBI Agent Fornell (Joe Spano) and their mutual ex Diane (Melinda McGraw) along for the ride - was funny, tense and real.
It was excellent from beginning to end, but the most moving, unexpected and emotionally loaded scene in "Devil's Triangle" was its very last. Gibbs was Diane's "Shannon," the one love she'll never replace.
He only "liked" her a lot,...

Lily Tomlin has been making audiences laugh for decades, but this TV season she's taking a more serious role in an episode of 'NCIS.' Tomlin went on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) to discuss her character, and the challenge of acting in drama as opposed to comedy.
Tomlin plays a character named Penelope, Special Agent Timothy McGee's grandma. "She's a scientist and a political activist ... and she gets mixed up in a lot of dangerous stuff," Tomlin told the panel.
As to the challenge of playing drama as opposed to comedy, Tomlin reported she didn't struggle with it much. "It's not any different," she said. "It's just on the continuum. You do what's on the paper and what the style of the show is."

Although it feels a bit formulaic and familiar at times, NCIS continues to be that rare show that gets better as it goes on. Things are about to get interesting for NCIS’s Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) as EW.com brings word that Grandmother McGee will be paying a visit, and she’ll look a lot like Lily Tomlin.
The veteran actor and comedienne is the latest senior celeb to show up on the CBS drama as a member of someone’s family tree, following in the footsteps of Ralph Waite (Gibbs’ father) and Robert Wagner (Dinozzo’s dad). Tomlin will portray Penelope, who makes her appearance sometime during early Fall, and it should be interesting to see what happens when she meets the NCIS team.
“We are very excited to have the gifted Lily Tomlin join us to play McGee’s grandmother,” says NCIS exececutive producer Gary Glasberg. ”We know she’ll bring extraordinary heart and pathos and humor to the show and the cast and crew are thrilled to have her. But...

Every Tuesday, 20 million viewers tune in to spend an hour with CBS's #1 drama, "NCIS." Cast members Mark Harmon, Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly, and Pauley Perrette stopped by The Grove and chatted about all the hot topics with Mario Lopez, and were greeted by hundreds of loyal fans.
The first question on everyone's mind seemed to be the hookup between Ziva and Tony. Cote de Pablo, who plays Ziva, told Mario, "I love him [Tony], what can I say.

Actress Pauley Perrette cares as much about the world as her character Abby Sciuto does about finding out the truth on "NCIS."
The active TV star told "Extra's" Mario Lopez she's involved in many projects. "I'm producing and directing a documentary. I'm finishing my record, 'Stop Making Friends," Perrette said, adding, "And I work for like 30 charities." Two of her favorites are Project Angel Food and The Amanda Foundation for Homeless Animals.

NCIS is one of those rare shows that is just getting better with age. The series is a tad formulaic and predictable, but the cast keeps you wanting to watch. With the DVD release of season seven, the series continues to push what works (serious crime cases with a blend of ensemble comedy) while expanding on the characters. The season also features a story arc that has a great cliffhanger for season eight. After the admittedly riveting conclusion to the seventh season, followed by last week's premiere, many fans (myself included) found themselves longing a bit for the NCIS of yore.
We got it and then some Tuesday night in "Worst Nightmare," an entire episode devoted to an intense, complex investigation with plenty of lighter, enjoyable moments throughout.
Our story begins in a classroom where Bernard from Lost is teaching, only to have the entire school temporarily pass out from a gas leak. A 13-year-old named Rebecca is missing.
A flustered Palmer, Gibbs and Ziva in "Worst Nightmare."
Great intrigue was provided by Nicholas Mason, the girl's grandfather and guardian while her parents are deployed. When he goes rogue to find her on his own, NCIS has its hands full.
When Gibbs learns that Mason has been communicating with Rebecca's kidnapper(s) directly, they begin to try to find ... well, either or both.

After a protracted negotiation period in which the status of several key actors was unclear, the final holdout has re-signed, keeping the NCIS cast wholly intact for years to come.
According to TV Guide, Sean Murray has signed a new contract for the upcoming eighth season of the hit CBS procedural, which ranked as TV's top scripted drama in 2009-2010.
Many of the actors all hit free agency recently and Murray, who plays Special Agent Timothy McGee, was the last remaining series regular without a new contract for Season 8.
McGee and all his cohorts will be back this fall.
David McCallum, Rocky Carroll, Pauley Perrette and Michael Weatherly all agreed to terms this spring, while Mark Harmon and Cote de Pablo already had long-term deals in place.

Update 4/30: EW.com has confirmed that CBS TV Studios has closed a new deal with David McCallum, who plays Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard. With NCIS preparing to wrap its seventh season on April 29, the cast has plenty to crow about: The CBS drama is not only averaging 18.94 million viewers (up 5% versus last season), it's the most-watched scripted show of the year. So it's hardly any wonder that co-stars Michael Weatherly (Tony Dinozzo), Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto), David McCallum (Dr. Mallard) and Sean Murray (Timothy McGee) are looking to score bigger salaries before the show returns next fall. In "The Inside Man," a blogger accuses the team of mishandling its investigation of the murder of a lieutenant, even alleging that NCIS covered up the real crime. When the blogger ends up dead, the team is forced to reopen the old case to clear itself of any wrongdoing.
