“America’s Got Talent” viewers were shocked on Wednesday night when dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane was crowned as the $1 million winner. Fun fact: they are now the third act to prevail on “AGT” that did not receive a Golden Buzzer since its inception, following Shin Lim (Season 13) and Dustin Tavella (Season 16). In Gold Derby’s post-finale poll, we asked fans to vote for who Really deserved to win Season 18, and Adrian & Hurricane came in third place with 16% of the vote. The top spot went to singer Putri Ariani at 26%, followed by synchronized dancers Murmuration at 21%.
Putri is Simon Cowell‘s Golden Buzzer singer who went viral each week with her pitch-perfect voice and out-of-the-box song choices (including those by U2 and Elton John). The 17-year-old Indonesian artist was born blind, but she doesn’t let that stop her from realizing her dream of becoming a worldwide recording artist. Putri ultimately finished in fourth place,...

The 18th winner of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” has been crowned, and it’s fan-fave dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane. They are the show’s second animal act to prevail after Olate Dogs 11 years earlier. (See the updated winners list.) Stoica, who previously competed on “Italia’s Got Talent” and “Romania’s Got Talent,” now sums up his “AGT” victory in three words: “crazy,” “unbelievable” and “amazing.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.
Stoica reveals he never thought he would even “be in the Finals,” let alone win the entire reality TV show. It was always his “big dream” to come try out his animal act on the American stage because it’s the “biggest in the world.” The American judges are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara and the host is Terry Crews.

After nearly four months of competition, “America’s Got Talent” has crowned a season 18 champion!
It all came down to the Top 11 on Wednesday — which included singers, a stand-up comedian, a young magician, three dance crews, two choirs, and a record-setting total of five Golden Buzzer winners — all of whom beat the odds to make it this far.
However, only one could win the grand prize of $1 million and a special stage show at the Luxor in Las Vegas.
After a fun night of big celebrity cameos and memorable performances — which took up the majority of the first hour of the big two-hour finale — host Terry Crews had the unenviable task of revealing the first results of the night, and slashing the Top 11 down to the Top 5.
The acts to make the Top 5 included the acrobatic duo the Ramadhani Brothers, the singer and pianist Putri Ariani, the trained...

The Season 18 finale of “America’s Got Talent” is just hours away, with NBC set to air the two-hour event from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27. All summer long, Gold Derby readers have been making their predictions for who they think will win the $1 million grand prize, and it’s currently neck-and-neck between Murmuration and Putri Ariani. Do You agree or disagree with our users’ forecasts?
Murmuration, the synchronized dance group from France, earned Howie Mandel‘s Golden Buzzer in the auditions and instantly became a fan-favorite. Many viewers have compared the 65-member precision group to The Mayyas, the Lebanese dancers who won last season’s competition. (Heads up: The Mayyas will return to the show to perform during the Wednesday finale.)

The last performance episode of “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 aired on Tuesday, September 26 with the 11 finalists taking the stage for America’s votes. Everything seemed to be going according to plan until it came to the second act of the night, Mzansi Youth Choir. Following their high-energy performance of “My Universe” by BTS and Coldplay, Howie Mandel was booed by the live studio audience when he declared it “wasn’t [his] favorite.” Do You agree with Howie? Or were you more in the camp of Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara, who had nothing but praises for the South African chorale group? Watch the “AGT” video above.

“America’s Got Talent” continued its Season 18 live shows on Tuesday, September 19 with the fifth and final round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara take a back seat during this stage of the competition because all of the power is now in America’s hands. To date, eight of the 11 finalists have been named for the “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 finale, and five of them are Golden Buzzers: dance groups Murmuration and Chibi Unity, plus singing acts Putri Ariani, Lavender Darcangelo and Mzansi Youth Choir. There is still one week left to go in the Qualifiers round, and Gold Derby readers predict one additional such act will advance to the finale: singer Gabriel Henrique.
That would mean roughly half of the 2023 finalists received a confetti shower in their auditions. However, that doesn’t necessarily give them an advantage over the non-Golden Buzzer acts still in the competition: dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, comedian Ahren Belisle and magician Anna DeGuzman. In fact, you don’t have to look back too far throughout “AGT” history to find an example of such an act going on to win the show.

This summer, “America’s Got Talent” returned for its 18th season with Terry Crews resuming his hosting duties and Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara once again making up the judges panel. As in the past, this year’s champion will take home a $1 million cash prize and be able to showcase their talent as a headlining act in Las Vegas. Only 55 acts get to perform in the “AGT” Qualifiers to compete for America’s vote and hopefully move one step closer to the finale.

This week “America’s Got Talent” season 18 continued the second stage of the competition, known as “Qualifiers.” In this round, 55 acts are divided into five groups for five weeks of performances, all in the hopes of advancing to The Finals. While series judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel are still around to offer their support and critique of the acts, the power is out of their hands and rests all in America’s vote. Only two acts from each of the five qualifying groups will win over America and earn a spot in the “AGT” finale.
In “Qualifiers 1” on August 22, Sofia’s Golden Buzzer singer Lavender Darcangelo and dog act Adrian Stoica & Hurricane were the two acts that America sent through to “The Finals.”

“America’s Got Talent” continued the live shows of its 18th season on August 29 with the second round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” On Tuesday night’s show, 11 acts performed for America’s vote and only two of them will advance to “The Finals” when the results are delivered by Terry Crews on Wednesday night. Before that happens, we can reveal that Your favorite act of the night was group dance act Murmuration, as voted on by viewers in Gold Derby’s overnight poll.
Murmuration had the all-important spot of closing out Tuesday’s performance show as the final act to make their case for a spot in the finale. Following their first round audition, Howie Mandel selected them as his personal Golden Buzzer act and was enthusiastic about their follow-up performance. Simon Cowell added that they are “in a different league” compared to all the other acts that performed Tuesday night.

A week after Howie Mandel called attention to Sofía Vergara‘s recent divorce from Joe Manganiello, the Modern Family alum embraced her single status on Tuesday’s (August 29) episode of America’s Got Talent. The moment came during stand-up comedian Ahren Belisle’s performance, which included a flirty joke that caught Vergara’s attention. Belisle, who has cerebral palsy and uses a text-to-speech app to deliver his jokes, told his service dog to “fetch me a girlfriend,” pointing towards Vergara and fellow judge Heidi Klum. “Go fetch Sofía Viagra,” he continued. “Oh, no, damn autocorrect. I meant Sofía Vergara.” He finished his performance by listing off his goals, saying, “Okay, make funny jokes. Check. Hit on Sofía. Check. Brought dog out for bonus votes. Check. Perfect. That’s my time. Love you all.” The judges had high praise for Beslisle’s performance, with Vergara saying, “I love the way you look at life.

The fellow judges had some fun with Et after their live show on Tuesday.
Sofía Vergara and Heidi Klum love a twinning moment! The “America’s Got Talent” judges are known for accidentally matching one another with their live looks.
During Tuesday’s show, the two stars did it again in zebra-printed styles. Vergara, 51, wore a black and white zebra-striped halter jumpsuit while Klum, 50, rocked a strapless sequin dress with green and red and black and white zebra stripes.
“We’re always twinning, but you think that we planned this and we don’t. It just happens… We’re like, connected, we’re like twins,” Vergara tells Et’s Cassie Dilaura. “We try to have fun together.”
Klum also tells Et that when the pair go out together they tend to have a “dress up theme.”

Popular metal band Steel Panther had the entire audience up on their feet during the “America’s Got Talent” live show on Tuesday, August 29. (Read our minute-by-minute recap.) The four-member group decided to sing “Death to All But Metal” for their live performance, though they admittedly had to change some of the lyrics in order to appear on NBC during primetime. What did You think of Steel Panther’s latest performance? Watch the live “AGT” video above.
“Look at this room — everyone on their feet, everyone screaming,” Heidi Klum shouted out after Steel Panther’s high-octane performance. She praised how they “rocked the stage” as well as their overall look, including the spandex and long hair. Heidi added, “You sound amazing, especially the high note. Everyone was on it. Well done!”

Howie Mandel‘s eye-popping Golden Buzzer, Murmuration, wowed the judges during the “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 live show on Tuesday, August 29. (Read our minute-by-minute recap.) The 65-member dance group from Nimes, France hypnotized viewers with their in-sync movements set to a fast-paced track, which gave us flashbacks to The Mayyas, a similar act that ultimately won last year’s competition. Watch the live “AGT” video above.
Following their live act, which incorporated top hats, white gloves and hand lights, the members of the dance crew spelled out “Stop Hate We Need Love And Unity” with their arms. Howie praised their “uniqueness” and urged America to vote for Murmuration because, “They have to be in the finals.”
Simon Cowell proclaimed, “This was in a different league to anything we’ve seen so far,” and called them “literally perfection.” Sofia Vergara chimed in that Murmuration was “breathtaking” and predicted they would have a “special night.
