Mamangam, the magnum opus starring Mammootty recently released its first official trailer. Its a historical drama based on the Malayalam language originally.
As per the look we get to see Mammootty as a child who grows up to be a fierce warrior holding a shield and a sword along with his troops all set to take down his enemies in the battle. The look makes it nostalgic taking back to 17 century where warriors used these kinds of weapons to take defense against the external forces.
As per traditions, Mamangam is a traditional festival in which the warriors challenge the Zamorin rulers (Kings) to overthrow them. The Zamorin, as in the caste system lies just below the Brahmins and is meant to protect their state.
As per the festival, the Kings of different parts of the country would gather at the Bharathapuzha river to fight against each other n order to prove their superiority.
