Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo was recently arrested for DUI and felony domestic violence, according to TMZ.
The veteran rocker was apparently busted for DUI last month after his wife, Jenn DeLeo, called the police to let them know that the musician left the house intoxicated. The police subsequently located Dean and pulled him over and arrested him.
As he was being booked for DUI at the station, Jenn called the police again, alleging the two had gotten into a physical altercation before Dean left the house. That led cops to book the guitarist on felony domestic violence charges.
Dean was served an emergency protective order against Jenn, but apparently violated the notice a week and a half later by attempting to contact her. He turned himself in on that violation, and has since been released.
Jenn has now filed for divorce from Dean, and it’s not the first time.

Stone Temple Pilots lost their captivating former front man Scott Weiland earlier this month to an accidental drug overdose, and now the band's remaining members are paying tribute to the late singer the only way they know how: through their music. Rolling Stone has shared a video that Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo, and Eric Kretz put together in which they eulogize Weiland with an unreleased version of "Atlanta," off the band's fourth album, No. 4. "We feel it represents one of the times in our career that Scott was truly at his best," they say before walking fans through the recording, describing Weiland's emotional vulnerability and underrated vocal performance. The original was already a soaring rock ballad for a lover, but this version, given the context, is something even more special. Go ahead and have a good cry.

Stone Temple Pilots endured a bitter battle with bosses at their record label over their latest album after the rockers insisted on producing their new music themselves. The band returned to the charts in May with its self-titled sixth release, but guitarist Dean DeLeo admits they struggled to get the recording sessions underway because of a dispute with their Atlantic Records label.
DeLeo reveals he wanted to produce the album with his brother and band mate Robert, but label executives were adamant a high-profile producer should take charge of the record. And the rocker admits the band refused to record unless it got its own way. He tells Consequenceofsound.net, "Our label refused to let us produce it. (They said) 'We want a big-name producer.' On Tuesday (May 24), Stone Temple Pilots will drop their new self-titled album, which represents their comeback after nearly a decade on the rocks and the sixth of their career. The group has survived a lifetime of trouble, from attacks from critics to the substance abuse troubles of problematic frontman Scott Weiland. But they're back on track with a new album and a killer live show, and it's time to reevaluate their entire career.
Stone Temple Pilots got off on the wrong foot back in 1993 when their breakout single "Plush" turned them into instant MTV and modern rock radio staples. Their biggest sin? Stone Temple Pilots may go down in history as the most underrated band of all time. When they first dropped their debut single "Plush" in 1993, they were buried as Pearl Jam imitators (though that didn't stop them from doing massive sales and becoming MTV staples). They have spent the remainder of their collective career trying to dig their way out from under that label, despite the fact that they put out some of the most interesting, inventive and unforgettable music of the post-grunge era.
Case in point: On this day in 1996, the band dropped their third album Tiny Music ... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop, a confusingly named but roundly excellent collection of rock tunes. Coming off the heavy Purple, the band expanded their musical palette with Tiny Music, wandering into areas normally inhabited by shoegaze and psychedelia.
