Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor Pay Per View, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some big matches and moments to get to, so let’s do so before we become a Planet Of Apes. Caesar, want salad! Alright, it’s Roh time.
Match #1: Jeff Cobb defeated Brody King
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – This was a real hard-hitting match that came across like a volcano fighting Larry The Cable Guy in a demolition derby. I bet every butcher shop in the world would hire these guys if they could. Beat meat! Ideally, there would have been more finesse to this, but they gave the people the kind of match that would be exciting, which is “Watch out for boulder, Indy! It crush you!” This was a great way to kick off the card.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have two matches. That’s it. Roh TV is starting to piss me off. Who runs this damn thing? It’s Vince Russo, isn’t it? If he says bro I’m gonna lose it! Wait…I said bro! Ahhhhhhhh! Hold on, these are title matches. Maybe we have a chance?
Match #1: Kelly Klein beat Karissa Rivera – Women Of Honor World Title Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Klein dominated Rivera early, hitting a front-face Ddt and fallaway slam. Klein went for a second fallaway slam, but Rivera slipped out and landed a pump kick. Rivera followed with a spinebuster for a near fall. Klein recovered and hit K-Power for the win. After the match, Sumie Sakai came out and helped up Rivera. Sakai, who lost to Rivera...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s Summer Supercard, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big card with huge expectations, like a tornado in a trailer park. That last comment means nothing, but makes me feel like I know what I’m talking about. I hope this thing turned out well (I already know if it did or not).
Match #1: Villain Enterprises (Pco and Brody King) defeated The Kingdom (Tko O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia) The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
It was all Pco and King early, but The Kingdom survived the onslaught and took control by isolating Pco. Eventually Pco tagged in King, who ran wild on both Kingdom members. King hit the Gonzo Bomb on O’Ryan, and Pco followed with a moonsault off the top rope for the victory.

Match #1: Roh World Television Champion Shane Taylor defeated Rhett Titus – Proving Ground Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
If Titus defeats Taylor or lasts the 15-minute time limit, he will receive a future shot at Taylor’s title. Titus’ unorthodox behavior frustrated Taylor in the early going, but Taylor soon began to brutalize him. Titus rallied, and he had Taylor reeling after nailing him with three successive running kicks in the corner. Titus hit a Samoan Drop for a two count. Taylor shook it off and hit a knee to the face and a devastating headbutt for the win.

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s Best In The World Pay Per View, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some good stuff from a lame league to get to. Roh has been having a lot of trouble the past three/four months, so let’s see if they can get back on the horse they’ve fallen off of before they get trampled by it.
Match #1: Rush defeated Flip Gordon
This was good for an opener, but it deserved to go a bit longer…that’s WWE talk! Before I get on a tangent, this was some good stuff, but it needed more time.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Dalton Castle defeated Dragon Lee
This was pretty good, but it felt a bit restrained for a match that was really close to being great. Yeah, 3.5 is my official review, but...

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big four way match for the main event. Let’s get right to it and John Wick the hell out…I forgot the joke.
Match #1: Hirooki Goto defeated Hikuleo The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
This match between Njpw competitors pitted the veteran Goto against the up-and-coming Hikuleo, the 6-foot-8 younger brother of The Guerillas of Destiny’s Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa. Goto hit a big clothesline for a near fall, but Hikuleo answered with a superplex for a near fall. Hikuleo then turned Goto inside out with a clothesline, but Goto kicked out at two. Goto eventually finished off the youngster after hitting Ushigoroshi and Gtr.

The Kingdom hit House of 1,000 Horses on Connors, but Lsg pump-kicked O’Ryan before he could make the cover. Ali tried to steal the pin, but Beer City Bruiser broke it up. Shortly thereafter, The Bouncers hit Closing Time on Coughlin for the victory.

Match #1: — Pj Black defeated Eli Isom (w/Cheeseburger and Ryan Nova) The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Black took control of the fast-paced match by targeting Isom’s upper body. Isom came back with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Isom went for a springboard move, but he slipped off the top rope and landed hard in the ring. Black hit a super hurricanrana followed by a springboard 450 for a near fall. Black finished off Isom with a moonsault into a double stomp.

Match #1: Silas Young beat Jonathan Gresham The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Right from the opening bell, Young and Gresham engaged in a fast-paced exchange of technical wrestling holds. Surprisingly, Young not only kept up with Gresham, but he was actually a step ahead. In a display of supreme confidence — or arrogance — Young voluntarily gave Gresham his wrist. Young quickly countered Gresham’s offense and gained the advantage. Young offered his wrist a second time, and the result was the same, which frustrated Gresham. Gresham then offered his wrist to Young, who responded by landing a blow to the back of Gresham’s head. Young went on the offensive,...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s/New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 SuperCard, which emanated from Madison Square Garden in one of the great moments of wrestling history. I’m Nathan Favel and right here on Nerdly, we have one of the biggest events in wrestling history to discuss, so let’s do so.
Match #1: The 30-Man Honor Rambo: Winner – Kenny King
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was less about great wrestling and more about big surprises. The action was of a certain quality, which should neither condone nor condemn the match itself. In what may have set the precedent for the card, the Japanese wrestlers were the best thing here. Overall, this match got the crowd excited, which is just fine.

Match #1: “The Villain” Marty Scurll defeated Kenny King The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Taking a page from Scurll’s playbook, King made his entrance with a “Villain” cosplayer in an attempt to get into his head. It didn’t work. Early in the match, Scurll took out the faux “Villain” with a swift kick to the head. King halted Scurll’s momentum with a Blockbuster for a near fall and a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Match #1: Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll and Pco) defeated The Kingdom (Tk O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia) The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
The Kingdom gained an early advantage through their double-team moves until Scurll tagged in Pco, who ran wild on both O’Ryan and Marseglia. Scurll assisted Pco on a French Canadian Cannonball over the top rope onto The Kingdom on the floor. Back inside the ring, Scurll hit a superplex on Marseglia, and Pco followed with a frog splash for a near fall. The Kingdom eventually got back on track. 3S beat John Skyler, Cory Hollis and Josey Quinn – Six-Man Tag Team Match
My Take: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a nice opening bout, but it didn’t do much to make this feel like a big PPV. The action was good, but none of it was beyond what you’d expect from a random tag match.
Mark Haskins beat Beer City Bruiser

As per the rules of a Proving Ground Match, if Luchasaurus defeats Cobb or lasts the entire 15-minute time limit, he will receive a future shot at the Roh World Television Title. Immediately after the bell rang, the enigmatic Luchasaurus stunned Cobb with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Luchasaurus tried to keep his momentum going, but when he charged Cobb in the corner, the champion caught him and hit a spinning suplex. Cobb followed with a superplex and standing moonsault for a near fall.

Match #1: Chris Sabin beat Scorpio Sky
These guys had my favorite match of the card. Sabin and Sky had a very even, methodically paced match that blended the X style and technical wrestling into a smart bout. Sabin was back in his singles briefs here, rather than his Motor City Machine Gun gear, which proved to be a bit of fore-shadowing that we’ll discuss in the News Of The Night section of the review. This was a good match that had some excellent back and forth action. The Briscoes were like every wild scene from Deliverance at high-speed. That’s right… every-thing but the squealing… and that damn banjo… that movie would’ve been a hell of a lot different with Robocop in for Ned Beatty. Match #1: Kelly Klein beat Jenny Rose – Women of Honor Match
The first thing to mention about this match is that this was one of potential versus execution. Klein continues to be a wrestler who has the potential to be a great shooter, but her awkward stances and positioning makes her look to common to be a ruthless bastard. I also am concerned about her lack of knee-pads, which Hulk Hogan and Cody Rhodes would both mention are a life-saver for your legs in the long run. I know Klein must feel like it gives her a raw, stripped-down appeal, but it leaves her too prone to injury in a part of her body that really needs to be protected.

Welcome to this review of Ring of Honor’s Best in the World 2018 pay per view! I’m Nathan Favel and I say we don’t waste any time with pleasantries. Here comes the action!
Match #1: The Kingdom beat Los Ingornerbales de Japon – Ring of Honor Six-Man Titles Match
This was a solid opener with lots of action. Both teams looked good here, with Taven functioning very well as the leader of his team. Taven really has come a long way since he first arrived in Ring of Honor. Lidj is consistently entertaining and did not break that streak here. Taven got the pin off of Bushi for the win and the title retention.
Match #2: Flip Gordon versus Bully Ray
Ray disqualified himself after losing several attempts at finishing Gordon, who was ahouse of fire tonight. Several people, such as Eli Isom, Cheeseburger and Colt Cabana, who was on announcing duties tonight,...

Best in the World is the next pay-per-view from Ring of Honor, taking place at the Umbc Event Center in Catonsville, Maryland on June 29th 2018. The event marks the the ninth annual Roh Best in the World PPV and wrestlers from New Japan Pro-Wrestling (Njpw), and Japanese women’s promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom – with whom Roh has partnerships – will also appear on the card – with the pay per view airing this Friday, I thought I’d bring you my brief predictions of each match of the night:
1. Jay Lethal vs. Kushida
This is guilt-free wrestling. I bet this goes on first, just to give every-one a great fight to start the night. I can’t see this as being a failure. Prepare for fast action with lots of mat work in the match’s first act. I’m going with Lethal for the win to further the redemption angle...

Welcome back for this week’s Ring of Honor television review. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a tag team main event with the Briscoes and a major announcement from Jay Lethal that should yield exciting results for Roh’s next PPV. With the introductions out of the way, we can get to the action!
Match #1: Johnathan Gresham vs. Flip Gordon
Jg is one Roh’s best technicians, while Fg seems to be working his way towards becoming one as well, which was evident by this match. A collar and elbow lock led to a fun flip and duck sequence that kicked of the fight. Jg chopped Fg like it was going out of style, until he could lock in an Octopus Stretch that he would hold for a minute or so. As Fg did a good job selling the submission hold, Jg transitioned into an Abdominal Stretch.

Welcome to the debut of the weekly Ring of Honor TV review here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m thrilled to give you the run-down on Ring of Honor’s one-hour fight cards that appear on Sinclair Broadcast Group’s numerous television affiliates. We begin these reviews in the midst of great change for not just Ring of Honor, but wrestling in general. With the rise of female wrestling and the advent of Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling/Impact Wrestling’s X-Division style as the premier method for competition in modern wrestling, Ring of Honor’s identity has been forced to change, as what made it original in the past has been claimed by nearly every wrestling league around. In response to the sign of the times, Ring of Honor has looked to the past and duplicated much of the presentation of 1970s wrestling,...
