John grew up In Wantagh, NY. His love for movies, TV and music started early making short video's and learning guitar at age twelve. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a major in film from the New York Institute of Technology. Relocating to LA, he landed his first PA job on an award-winning CBS SchoolBreak Special starring Robert Pine. He continued working in television on 'Made for TV' films and on the award show circuit for companies including Don Mischer Prods, 10th Planet, Cossette Prods, MTV/VH1 and Zero Point Zero Prods.
John relocated to Seattle, WA to focus on screenwriting, filmmaking and music. As a filmmaker and screenwriter he produced and directed the art house feature, "Where We All Start" which played in venues around the Northwest and reached the penultimate round at the Austin Film Festival. His digital short, "Talking Dogs" then premiered at New Filmmakers NYC to a receptive audience. His screenplay, "Rearview Mirror" was a semi-finalist in the Fade-In Screenplay Competition.
As a songwriter, guitarist and vocalist John recorded three albums with his rock band, Signal Flags. His songs received airplay on radio stations including KFOG and KEXP. John is determined to bring his passion for film and music together with, "Rearview Mirror" - a feature film taking place at the dawn of the Grunge era in Seattle.
