Pyotr Sinyavskiy is a Soviet and Russian children's writer, poet, composer.
Sinyavskiy was born in the city of Sim, Chelyabinsk region, where the defense plant was evacuated during the war, and where his father worked. That same year he returned with his mother to Moscow. Father, Aleksey Sinyavskiy, was the chief technologist of the Experimental Design Bureau. Mother was an associate professor of pathophysiology.
From the age of eighteen, Pyotr worked as a musician in various orchestras. He started writing poetry quite late, at the age of 40. He has several dozen books for children and many poetic publications in periodicals and poetry collections, hundreds of songs for children.
Worked with composers Yuriy Chichkov, Mark Minkov, Georgi Movsesyan, Aleksandr Zhurbin, David Tukhmanov, Aleksey Shelygin. His songs have been and are heard in films, on radio, in television programs, and are performed by professional artists and amateurs.
