It’s going to be a killer summer — perhaps quite literally — for a trio of young actors, including Ugly Betty vet Mark Indelicato.
Freeform’s upcoming chiller Dead of Summer, written and executive-produced by Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, along with Once writer Ian Goldberg, has cast its first series-regular characters, TVLine has learned exclusively.

“What a costume designer does is a cross between magic and camouflage. We create the illusion of changing the actors into what they are not. We ask the public to believe that every time they see a performer on the screen he’s become a different person.”
– Edith Head
On Monday, Wamg attended the press preview for the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences groundbreaking multimedia exhibition Hollywood Costume in the historic Wilshire May Company building.
Taking five years to create, this exhibition is the kickoff for the whole Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
Emphasizing how costumes are so important in creating characters, this one-of-a-kind exhibition comes with its own film score, enhanced with dazzling animations and screenplay excerpts.
Organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (V&A), and sponsored by Swarovski, this ticketed exhibition...

The studio system is long gone and as the Hollywood powerhouses reign supreme over the box office, smaller production companies fall by the way side. Yet innovative filmmakers are currently redefining the industry and creating powerful companies of their own, ones which could change cinema for the better as well as possibly competing with these Hollywood heavyweights in the future.
Due to Pixar’s success as a family orientated studio from the mid 90’s onwards, others are catching on to this ultra collaborative notion. Pixar has a large but focused family of filmmakers which work together to produce perfect movies. We’ve all seen glimpses inside the studio with its fuss ball tables and arcade games; they promote creativity and work together for the greater good. There are no egos at Pixar just a unit pushing forward as a team.
Here’s a look at some promising and quite successful...

Los Angeles — For anyone who grew up in the 1980s, merely a mention of the movie musical "Footloose" will inspire a flood of fond memories.
You might have blasted the Kenny Loggins theme song on the radio while cruising around town on a Saturday night. You can admit it – we're all friends here. Maybe you made up some dorky dance routine to the perky "Let's Hear It for the Boy," or engaged in an awkward adolescent make-out session to the power duet "Almost Paradise."
And of course, there was the discovery of a little-known Kevin Bacon, an early crush for many of us in the role that made him a superstar. He was a bad boy from the big city who was forced to move to a small town and just wanted to dance. Come on, is that so wrong? He had a cocky...

Patton Oswalt is not only a funny comedian, but a is a fellow Geek! Here are two Batman storylines that he wrote and pitched to DC Comics. Both stories were never published, but they are still cool and worth a read.
Check out the two stories below, as well as Oswalt's commentary of each:
"J"
The Joker once again breaks out of Arkham Asylum, and Batman - along with the Justice League - tears apart Gotham to find him.
And who feels the heat the worst when the League is cracking down hard? Gotham's criminals.
And because Batman works his way up from minor street thug, higher and higher on the chain, it's the "C" list criminals who suffer first.
Barely escaping a beatdown and capture, The Cluemaster (who I'm going to make a much younger, inexperienced criminal) gathers a literal "C"-list of other, frightened criminals - Crazyquilt, Crime Doctor,...

Chicago – There are many essential questions in life. What is my purpose? How do I find my place in the universe? Where did I put my mobile phone? But the most important of all, as Aimee Teegarden is about to experience, is who will I get to take me to “Prom.”
Rating: 3.5/5.0
Prom, a new film produced by Walt Disney Pictures, is old school. It’s not set in another time, it is set within a former teen movie framework. In the tradition of director John Hughes, Prom portrays high school as a character challenge, with all the highs, lows, heartaches and the strange hope that a transition of life has been achieved.
Nova (Aimee Teegarden) is little Miss Perfect. She’s class president, scholarship student and of course, head of the Prom Committee. Her world is turned upside down when the meticulous decorations for the ‘Starry Night’ theme are...

Krist Novoselic has said that recently-reformed groups like Faith No More and Jane's Addiction blazed a trail for Nirvana in the late 1980s. The bassist was interviewed by oral historian and veteran journalist John Hughes for Washington State's The Legacy Project. Novoselic explained that Nirvana never thought that they would be a massive band when they started out in the state's largest city of Seattle. He said: "Living on the margins for so long, living in the underground scene it's (more)...
