Emmanuel Valdez has been a designer in the video game industry for over
nine years. Most recently, Emmanuel served as lead artist and game
designer for Midway Home Entertainment, where he worked on B.I.O.
Freaks and the highly-acclaimed Ready 2 Rumble Boxing franchise, a
series that has received industry-wide praise and numerous awards.
Prior to Midway, Emmanuel was at Sony Computer Entertainment's 989
Studios, where he worked as senior artist on ESPN Extreme Racing, NFL
Gameday '95, NBA Hangtime / ESPN2 World Tour Basketball, ESPN
Speedworld, ESPN Baseball Tonight, and ESPN Hockey Tonight.
Emmanuel began his career at Park Place Productions, helping produce
such classic games for PC, Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo as Mohammed
Ali Boxing, Championship World Class Soccer, Wheel of Fortune and
Jeopardy!.
Emmanuel is a frequent keynote speaker and panel discussion
participant, and has been quoted by publications such as New York
Times, Post Magazine and IGN.com. He received his BS in Industrial and
Environmental Design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena,
California.
