Sarah Fisher was born on October 4, 1980 in Commercial Point, Ohio, USA. She has been married to Andy O'Gara since September 15, 2007. They have two children.
In 2000 became the third woman (following Janet Guthrie and Lyn St. James) to drive
in the Indianapolis 500 auto race. In five Indy 500s (2000-2004), her
best finish was 21st in 2004.
Became the first woman to stand on the podium with her third place finish at Kentucky Speedway in 2000.
Has won the Most Popular Driver award three consecutive times in the IndyCar Series (2001-2003). Though, she has won the award four times in her professional racing career (3 in IndyCar and 1 in NASCAR).
Became the first women to run a full IndyCar Series schedule in 2001.
Became the first woman in North American motorsports history to win the pole position for a major-league open-wheel race at Kentucky Speedway in 2002.
