On the latest "Pretty Little Liars," it's Emily's surprise party. Surprise! Someone's dead in the pond! Happy birthday!
A/Alison/Jenna/Shana
Ok, not really. Jenna didn't drown, though that would've been quite the twist, since she was seemingly just talking about Alison being alive. But who tried to kill her? Does anybody know what Paige was doing? There's a history of Paige trying to drown people. Ahem.
Especially since Paige was being kind of cagey about the whole incident, thinking maybe Jenna hit her head on a rock. Um, in Rosewood? No. It's more likely a rock jumped up and smashed Jenna than it is that she had an accident.
Shana, however, tells Spencer that Alison is dead and that Jenna is afraid of Cece Drake, who then maybe shows up in a red trench coat and crawls underneath the Dilaurentis house porch. Was that Cece? Or Alison? Or Alison's evil twin?...

We'll confess to not seeing the ending to "Pretty Little Liars" latest episode coming at all. But we definitely are not surprised in the least.
Ashley/Hanna/Mona
Hanna has the spectacularly bad idea that she's going to take the fall for her mom, claiming she actually killed Wilden in self-defense. And let's be real -- the only Liar who could remotely pull something like that off is Spencer.
After some excellent coaching from Mona -- the only one who has actually lived in a lie -- Hanna seems, well, still not ready. It seems like it's going to backfire miserably, so thankfully Caleb is there to rein Hanna in.
Then awesomely, it's Mona who walks sassily into the police station and confesses, providing the Liars with an enigmatic smile at the end. Mona rules all. Mona should be in every episode and the show should be retitled "Mona and Some Other Girls.

Review Caroline Preece 25 Jul 2013 - 15:45
Caroline remains frustrated by another self-destructive episode of Pretty Little Liars...
This review contains spoilers.
4.7 Crash and Burn, Girl!
The final scene of this week’s Pretty Little Liars was completely unnecessary given how much Emily had already mucked up her life (and her mother’s) so spectacularly and, the way the Liars are going this season, they don’t need any help getting into trouble. The whole story with Ashley Marin and Wilden’s murder may or may not have anything to do with A, for example, and Emily stealing the key from her mum’s desk was just another one of those self-destructive moments that make this show so frustrating to watch at times.
What did she think would happen? That no one would notice that the key to a murder victim’s apartment had gone missing? They did notice and, given...

Another week, another uneven episode of Pretty Little Liars.
"Crash and Burn, Girl!" showcased some more emotional drama for Hanna and some Scooby-Doo action from Team Taleb, but most of the girls had little to do. The "smash and bang" at the episode's end continued the show's pattern of waiting until the last minutes for any excitement.
Plus, I'm pretty sure all these "answers" we're getting are just a stall tactic.
Hanna's appearances in this episode served mostly to underscore how lost she really is. She spends much of the episode looking devastated and red-nosed, which spurs her friends to come to her aid. Emily and Spencer put aside their differences for the time being, and the whole team raids Wilden's apartment for clues. Too bad their search yields only a box of rotten steaks and cryptic A message!
A more successful investigation is undertaken by the new dynamic duo...

When we last left our "Pretty Little Liars," Ashley Marin was arrested for Det. Wilden's murder and Mikey went on a vandalism spree -- though it'd be awesome (and creepy) if that was not Mike, but Mr. Fitz.
Aria
In the Arialand of Aria problems, Connor and his dad want Mike suspended and hanged for the car vandalism. Byron steps in, after getting the whole story from Aria, and yet seems pretty helpless because it takes Ezra to point out to the vice principal that there are no prints or witnesses, so why on earth should the school suspend Mike?
It's not like this is some fancy private school and Connor's dad is a donor, giving the veep a reason (B.S. reason, but still) to do what Connor's dad says. But the vice principal should have figured this one out on his own. Or Byron should've brought it up.

Check out these preview clips and pictures from "Pretty Little Liars" episode "Crash and Burn, Girl!", airing next Tuesday, July 23.
Above, Emily's mom says a police officer suggested prolotherapy for Emily's shoulder. It's a series of injections for two months that could keep her out of surgery -- but money is a concern. Also, Mrs. F. wants Emily to leave Hanna alone for a while.
Below, Aria and Mike talk about Connor's smashed car -- Aria is definitely suspicious of Mike bieng the culprit. Do you think he did it? It couldn't be Mr. Fitz, right? That'd be weird.
Finally, Toby and Caleb's bromance kicks off, wondering about the pilot/plane from the night of the fire -- who is this Nigel Wright? It would appear we're supposed to think the lighter Toby found is his -- the Nw in north-by-northwest.
If you'll remember, Nigel is also Jenna's boytoy from Wilden's funeral.

The biggest selling debut male artist of 2008 is back. Today the classically trained X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts announces details for his brand new studio abuml. O Fortuna showcases Rhydian as his very own man. He says, “I had a much more free hand with this album. I could spend my career trying to reinvent myself but ultimately this is me as a real singer. This is very much where I envisaged being when I was at music school. I’m made up. It’s brilliant. And long may it continue.”
Produced by Karl Jenkins and Nigel Wright, the album was recorded between July and October of this year. O Fortuna is a natural progression from Rhydian’s debut release and confirms his place as the UK’s leading classical cross over artist. As well as being backed by a welsh male voice choir, the new album sees him teaming...
