Shatrughan Sinha is all set to play Narendra Modi in a bio-pic that will go on the floors later this year. And here’s how it happened. Earlier this week Shatrughan Sinha was honoured in London by Keith Vaz the MP from the British Labour Party. During a q-and-a session after being honoured Shatrughan Sinha was asked which distinguished Indian he would like to play on screen. “Narendra Modi,” came the prompt answer. Says Shatrughan Sinha, “Yes, I am here in London. Keith and the Indian community in London wanted to honour me. I couldn’t say no. This was a huge and humbling honour coming from my brothers and sisters on British soil.”

Not bad for a franchise that started in 2003, and has now become one of the very biggest videogaming - and entertainment - series on the planet.

The BBC is believed to have submitted its coverage of the police raid on Sir Cliff Richard's home for this year's Royal Television Society journalism awards.
The corporation's exclusive broadcast of the raid on the singer's Berkshire home was met with controversy, after it emerged that journalists were tipped off by South Yorkshire police about the search in advance.
The coverage has been submitted for the 2014 ceremony's Scoop of the Year award, The Independent reports. The corporation has declined to comment.
The pre-recorded footage led to an inquiry by Labour MP Keith Vaz's House of Commons home affairs select committee.
MPs later found the police had been "utterly inept" in the handling of the raid, and that they had caused "irreparable damage" to Richard's reputation.
However, the report was not as critical of the BBC, saying that it was "well within its rights" to run the story.

Movie and videogame violence is a common scapegoat for real-world crime. But what about the role parents play in all this, Simon wonders...
Just before we get going, it's worth making something straight from the start. This is a piece that deliberately isn't being written or timed in response to some of the horrendous tragedies that have taken place over the past year or two, for which games and movies have got the blame. This isn't a knee-jerk reactive article. It's deliberately running in slightly calmer times, as that seems to be the right point to have some kind of rounded debate about the issues I want to talk about.
Basically, I want to chat about the proverbial elephant in the room.
I've just finished reading David Kushner's book Jacked, about the life and times of the Grand Theft Auto series, and the controversies that have surrounded the games.

The mother-of-two allegedly didn't tell her family about the prank call that she unknowingly transferred to Kate's room, but her family feels the hospital is withholding information about her final days. Jacintha Saldanha's family feels like there's more to the story surrounding her tragic death. Jacintha was the Senior Duty Nurse at the King Edward VII Hospital, where Kate Middleton was being treated for acute morning sickness on Dec. 4. Reportedly, she left a suicide note to tell her family why she took her own life. RadarOnline.com is reporting that Jacintha did not tell her family about the two Australian deejays who prank-called the hospital, impersonating the Queen and Prince Charles. Now Jacnintha's family has hired an attorney and they want more answers. Her husband Ben Barboza reportedly wants to "know everything." "What the family need are the full facts," Labor MP Keith Vaz, the man representing the family said.

Dynasty legend Joan Collins has urged British officials to employ more border staff after she was one of thousands of passengers held up in airport chaos on Tuesday.
The actress was appalled to find lengthy queues of travellers waiting at passport control after she arrived at London's Heathrow Airport, and took to her Twitter.com page to voice her frustration.
She tweeted, "Arrived (at) Lhr after great trip on British Airways but 1000s waiting at passport control."
Collins then implored Home Secretary Theresa May to hire more immigration officials, adding, "Listen up Ms May - need more officers."
Keith Vaz, chairman of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee, who was also at the airport, explains, "I felt pretty ashamed as a British MP. It was absolutely packed. There were people with babies running to beat the queues."
British politicians are facing increased pressure to minimise travel delays this summer before an influx of tourists arrives in the capital for the Olympic Games.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation is set to be launched on September 14, according to the late singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse.
The launch of the foundation has been delayed after someone registered the name before the family had a chance to do so.
“I was in New York with my cousin Michael when I heard [of her death], and straight away I said I wanted an Amy Winehouse Foundation, something to help the things she loved – children, horses, but also to help those struggling with substance abuse,” Mitch said at Amy’s funeral. “In this country, if you cannot afford a private rehabilitation clinic, there is a two-year waiting list for help. With the help of Keith Vaz MP, we are trying to change that.”

Comments echo call made by lawyer for family of Milly Dowler for politicians not to 'let themselves off the hook'
The actor Hugh Grant has called on David Cameron to "be a statesman" and expand the judge-led inquiry into the hacking scandal to include an examination of the "grotesque" power that newspaper proprietors hold over politicians.
His comments echo those made by the lawyer speaking on behalf of the family of the murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler, who said that it wouldn't be right for politicians to "let themselves off the hook" when they set the remit of the inquiries. Grant and the Dowlers both said that according to what the government has revealed so far about the scope of the inquiries, they are "not good enough".

Parliament wants to change procedure to allow for a female heir — and fast!
It seems like just yesterday Kate Middleton and Prince William had their glorious Royal Wedding. But could it be they’re already expecting a child?
William, 28, and Kate, 29, could cause a national crisis if their first born was to be woman under the current procedure. Because of that, Keith Vaz, chairman of the Commons home affairs select committee, has proposed a bill which would allow succession to continue regardless of gender, the Daily Mail reports.
“Kate and William have been married for over a month and the biological clock is ticking,” Keith says. “We need change soon.”
This sounds rather urgent for parliamentary procedure — we think the royal couple may have a pregnancy to announce!
