Salma Hayek Pinault was honored at Baby2Baby’s annual gala Saturday night, where she was recognized for her commitment to giving back to children in need around the world.
Hayek Pinault’s Giving Tree Award was presented by her Magic Mike’s Last Dance co-star Channing Tatum, who called her “one of the most magical and mystically intuitive beings that has, in my opinion, ever walked this earth.”
Upon taking the stage, the star called Tatum “family to us,” joking he is known as “Channing Tatum Pinault Hayek.” She also declared, “I am such a big fan of this organization, and I have a lot of respect for it, and I don’t have a lot of respect for many organizations.” Baby2Baby is a nonprofit that provides children living in poverty the basic necessities and has distributed more than 375 million essential items including diapers, formula and clothing over the last 12 years.

St. John, along with the fashion house’s design consultant, celebrity stylist Karla Welch, hosted the volunteer session to support the organization’s mission of providing essentials to children in need across the country.

In honor of his performance at this year’s Gala, Baby2Baby will provide nearly 300,000 essential items to support the children in the Snoop Youth Football and Basketball Leagues and Snoop Special Stars, both of which provide the opportunity for thousands of inner-city children across Los Angeles to participate in youth football, youth basketball and cheerleading. Donated items will include hygiene products, blankets, school supply kits, educational toys and sporting equipment, as well as items for the kids’ younger siblings, including diapers, wipes, soap and shampoo.

In a virtual fundraiser put together by Ryan Murphy, Disney TV Studios boss Dana Walden, PR ace Chrisette Hudlin and Laura Shell, California’s junior senator raked in over $8 million for her and Joe Biden’s poll leading White House bid.
Announced on August 27, the event put dough in the purse of the Biden Victory Fund, a joint committee of Joe Biden’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state parties. Going into the final 59 days before the election, yesterday’s fundraiser is one of the biggest hauls that Biden and his running mate Harris has raised this season. Featuring both ex-vp Biden and Sen.
