- Igor-Immanuel was born in the former east part of Berlin, Germany on January 19, 1981. He was educated at the Humboldt University in Berlin and has a degree in musicology, media studies and art history. Son of an East-German writer, journalist and music producer and an architect and politician on his mothers side, he quickly developed a knack for creative and structured working, which he applied at his work in the film & music industry. Beside his work on Good Bye Lenin! (2003), Armee der Stille - La Isla Bonita (2009) and NVA (2005), Igor-Immanuel also developed several concepts for worldwide commercials and TV formats and wrote lyrics for a variety of musicians, as well as being a media consultant for his grandfathers law-firm.
