The music supervisors of “Elvis” and “Everything Everywhere All at Once” have won the top feature-film awards at the 13th annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards, which were handed out on Sunday night at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.
Anton Monsted won the award for music supervision of a film that cost more than $25 million for “Elvis,” while Lauren Marie Mikus and Bruce Gilbert won for a film under $25 million for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” That film also won for the best song written or recorded for a film, which went to the Oscar-nominated “This Is a Life,” written by Ryan Lott, David Byrne and Mitski.
Rob Lowry won the two other film awards, one for his music supervision of “Cha Cha Real Smooth” (Best Music Supervision for a Film Budgeted $10 Million and Under) and one for “Do Revenge: Abbey Hendrix, Jonathan Wellbelove – Apple – “The Greatest”

Antonio Campos is a 29 year old filmmaker who burst onto the indie scene with Afterschool back in 2008, and was a producer on the Sundance darling Martha Marcy May Marlene. His second film, Simon Killer, is a dark, psychological thriller set in the gritty streets of modern day Paris. I had the privilege to talk to the director about his varied influences and inspiration for the film, the process of getting it made with star Brady Corbet and how he cobbled together such a fun soundtrack on a low budget.
Before we got going, Antonio Campos revealed that he was working on a PSA, and while he couldn’t divulge too many details on that, he did promote the website for the film The Red, which he’s also working on. With Simon Killer just recently hitting theaters, clearly he’s a busy man. Read on for my interview, and check...

The reality show “Jersey Shore” will kick off its fourth season on August 4. That’s three more seasons than any reasonable person might have expected. 'It's just something that you wouldn't normally do,' Pauly tells MTV News of Sitch pursuing his ex-girlfriend.

Vinny, the Situation and Pauly D

While the drama on Thursday's episode of "Jersey Shore" is largely dominated by the fallout from Ronnie and Sammi's room-trashing, curse-filled blowout, a bit of a spectacle broke out between the dudes in the house too.
It all went down during a fist-pumping excursion to Karma, as Pauly D's ex-girlfriend showed up — still clearly carrying a whole lot of affection for the reality-show DJ — and found herself on the receiving end of some amorous attention from the Situation. As Pauly said during the show, "Mike has no guy code whatsoever. He'll pull a robbery on your own ex-girlfriend."
The hookup robbery, it should be noted, was unsuccessful, but that didn't stop Pauly from being...

They may be comfortably back in their spiritual home of Seaside Heights for the new season, but not for long! The cast of MTV's smash hit "Jersey Shore" are poised to head to the other homeland: Italy.
On Tuesday (January 25), MTV announced that not only had "Shore" been renewed for a fourth season, but that, in the upcoming season, the cast would be taking their show on the road ... all the way to Italy. Production on season four is set to begin in spring 2011, and will premiere "later this year."
"While the Stateside 'Jersey Shore' locales have become iconic for our audience, it's really the constantly evolving dynamic amongst the cast that keeps them coming back each season, and Europe is a fresh spin on a show...

Spitfire Jersey girl makes a big impression on the reality-tv show, landing on MTV News' 11 for '11.

Deena Nicole Cortese

Deena Cortese came into the "Jersey Shore" house like a self-proclaimed "Energizer Bunny." She's left an impression after only one episode, so it looks like we'll be seeing a lot of Deena in 2011 — but hopefully not quite as much as the Situation saw on the Jersey girl's first day in the house.
"You never know what you're going to get. It's great," Deena told MTV News about her addition to the house. "I'm very kindhearted, and I'm like a kid at heart. That's just me. I love life, and I show how much I love life. I'm just being myself."
Deena seemed like a welcome addition to the house after the many ups and downs the cast had with former housemate Angelina. "Me and...

Previously, on "Jersey Shore": Snooki, the Situation and the rest of the roomies survived a Gtl-filled tear through Miami Beach — motor-boating Jell-o shot girls at night, serving up gelato flavors in the bleary morning — and packed up to head back to Seaside Heights.
They brought plenty of baggage with them. When "Jersey Shore" picks up again on Thursday with the premiere of the show's new season, there will be many lingering questions left over from the reality stars' time down south. Before this season's final fist-pump, here are five questions we hope to have answered:
Will Sammi and Ronnie Make It Work?
The drama between these two lovebirds — by turns crabbily thin-skinned and candidly raw — has...

By now, you are probably aware that the cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore" have ditched the balmy climes of Miami for their spiritual home of Seaside Heights, but chances are, you've had no idea what they've been doing since they got back there (you know, aside from getting arrested).
Until now. On Tuesday (December 21), MTV unveiled the official trailer for the new season of "Jersey Shore," and from the look of things, it's going to be quite the homecoming.
Because not only does the new season — billed as "Back to Jersey" — feature the usual bad behavior (Fights! Nudity! Hot-tub hookups!), but there's also plenty of drama on tap too, including JWoww's bitter breakup with her boyfriend, the seemingly endless soap...

You've heard of a ball drop on New Year's Eve, but MTV has something a little different lined up for its big New Year's Eve celebration this year. "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will climb into a ball that will be lowered into New York's Times Square to help ring in 2011 at the "MTV New Year's Bash."
She, of course, won't be alone, as castmate the Situation will also be on hand, along with rapper Flo Rida and host comedian Whitney Cummings and another "Jersey" castmember, Pauly D, who will serve as the night's DJ.
It wouldn't be a New Year's celebration without some serious fist-pumping, so the Sitch and other "Jersey Shore" castmembers will help lead the crowd in a fist-pumping frenzy...
