Bad Bunny, Quavo, JoJo Siwa and Simu Liu were among the artists, actors and athletes that took part in the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium Saturday, but it was the Puerto Rican superstar (and, well, Bryan Cranston’s beard) that stole the show.

At the beginning of these Major League Baseball playoffs, I read somewhere that if you wanted to see a World Series that included the two teams representing the longest suffering franchises, then the San Francisco Giants and the Texas Rangers were your teams of choice. The Yankees are gluttons for titles. The Phillies won only two years ago. The Braves won it in 1995, and the Reds won it in 1990. The Twins recently were the victims of domination by the Yankees in the playoffs, but they have two championships to their credit from 1987 and 1991. The Tampa Bay Rays have never won the World Series, but they have only been in existence for fifteen years, and they did win the American League two years ago.
So for those of you who enjoy "spreading the wealth," as President Obama might say, this is the World Series for you. The Giants have taken several trips to the World Series,...

You might not be aware of it — especially if you live on the East Coast — but on Wednesday night (October 27), the 2010 World Series officially gets under way in San Francisco. It's a particularly intriguing matchup, pitting the pitching-heavy San Francisco Giants against the slugging Texas Rangers, and if you're a baseball purist (and who isn't?), well, then you're definitely in for a treat.
Still, it occurs to me that most of you couldn't care less about this year's Series, mostly because it does not involve either the New York Yankees and/or Philadelphia Phillies. Call me a traditionalist — or an embittered Red Sox/ Mets fan — but I think things are better off without either the Yanks or the...

NEW YORK -- A longer-than-normal home run derby live from San Francisco delayed by more than an hour the debut of ESPN's much-anticipated miniseries The Bronx Is Burning.
The first episode of the miniseries focusing on the 1977 New York Yankees and starring John Turturro and Oliver Platt was supposed to get started at 10 p.m. EDT. But it didn't start until 11:05 p.m. EDT thanks to the home run derby that eventually was won by the Angels' Vladimir Guerrero.
Bronx averaged 2.2 million viewers, according to data released late Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. That was comparable with a previous ESPN miniseries, Tilt, that averaged 2 million viewers in January 2005. But it was below the Aug. 26, 2003, debut of the controversial football series Playmakers, which averaged 2.6 million viewers.
Even before the big delay, ESPN planned to replay the first episode of Bronx at 10 p.m. Wednesday and again two hours later on ESPN. It also will air at 10 p.m.
