It's time for yet another "Spring Awakening" reunion on "Glee." Skylar Astin, another of Lea Michele's co-stars from the Broadway musical, has signed on for a guest role on the Fox series.
According to TVLine, Astin's character, Jean-Baptiste, is the lead singer of Throat Explosion, one of the groups competing against the New Directions at Nationals. Darren Criss posted a photo on Instagram of himself, Astin and Chord Overstreet on set confirming the news.
Astin's role likely means he and Michele won't cross paths, although you never know if she'll show up to support her former glee club members at their big competition.
Astin starred in 2012's surprise hit about a cappella singing, "Pitch Perfect," and currently plays the lead in the TBS sitcom "Ground Floor." He's the third "Spring Awakening" alum to join the show, after Michele's then real-life Bff/onscreen love interest Jonathan Groff in Season 1 and...

The Technicolor dream that is the two-part "Glee" Season 5 premiere now has official photos. First looks at "Love, Love, Love" and "Tina in the Sky with Diamonds" show a Klaine kiss, Rachel and Santana's new jobs and a whole carnival of excitement. Check them out here.
There is probably a thematic (or at least musical) reason for Ryder (Blake Jenner) to be riding a carousel in "Love, Love, Love."
It's probably the same reason that Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Unique (Alex Newell) are sharing a bumper car.
Is it safe for Artie (Kevin McHale) and his wheelchair to be on that ride?
Blaine (Darren Criss) is having way too much fun in this episode.
Granted, he is about to get Kurt (Chris Colfer) back. So it's fair.
But seriously, Blaine is really, really happy.
Moving on to the second episode, "Tina in the Sky with Diamonds," Santana (Naya Rivera) makes some money with commercial work.

It’s about time we had some new promo photos for Glee’s impending fifth season, specifically for the second episode. I don’t look forward to these pictures because they’re particularly helpful in instilling a sense of excitement for the given episode; it’s the more the opposite. The promotional materials entertain me in how silly they make Glee appear, even though I know the show isn’t all that silly. Ok, it’s a little silly, but when you pick a single out of context frame from a random scene you’re going to wind up with something that looks more ridiculous than it’s meant to. In this case, some things look just as ridiculous as they should.
I am, of course, referring to Santana’s unfortunate choice of job. It’s good to be working, but nobody enjoys being the girl in the feminine hygiene product commercial.
